Seems a Little Sketchy is sponsored by Scribbles Design-I'm all about LOVE!

This week at Seems a Little Sketchy, we have a great sponsor--Scribbles Designs.  The image that I'm using is called Heart Doodle 5.  Love the Whimsy of the design!
As a background on this Anniversary card, I used this deep red rose paper from The Paper Studio. Instead of the ovals, I chose the rounded rectangle and then a sheer printed vellum with red hearts on it.  I realized after I took my pictures that there was an edge up on the sentiment paper-so sorry I didn't catch that!  The inside liner of the card picks up the subtle blue edging on the front hearts- and it is covered with blue heart accents and lots of love phrases.  I also placed one of my favorite sentiments on the inside with room for personal greetings.  Come join us at Seems a Little Sketchy for this 2 week challenge-lots of time to come up with your rendition using the sketch.  The great thing is that on the blog site at the top of the page are future challenges with the sketch pattern so that you can work ahead!  Great idea right?  See you there!

Easel Cards for the Scrapbook Place Blog Challenge

I get the biggest kick out of Easel cards-I don't know why I don't make them more often~they are so fun!  This image I am using is called "Cool Carl Pad" from Scribbles Design and they are sponsoring our challenge over at Your Scrapbook Place.  The theme of the contest is of course, easel cards.  I placed my design on a Scallop Circle Scored card blank from The Paper Cut-there are so many ways to use the card blanks that they carry in their store.  This great color is called basis Aqua. I folded the top scallop in half and mounted ole' fancy cut Carl on the bottom half.  I put Diamond Glaze on his sunglasses and the flowers.  The butterflies and leafy branches are from 2 friends on Your Scrapbook Place site.  Then for the "catch" when it gets folded, I used aqua dew drops and glued branches to 2 of them.  The sentiment is computer generated and the clouds are from a die cut that I have in my stash.
Check out the challenge-there's always neat prizes from great sponsors AND you have fun while competing!  Look forward to seeing you there.
