Monthly Challenge over at All Dressed Up !

It's time for the monthly All Dressed Up Challenge and we'd like you to join in the FUN!  You must use one of the many digital images in the ADU shop or one of several Freebies that you will also find onsite.
For my Design Team card, I've used an image called "A Cuddle Makes it all Better" which can be found here.  I used design paper that was in a "dog paper" series (that's grass on the bottom of the front) and also accented it with a paper fold butterfly and some epoxy dots.  On the inside, I continued the plaid paper and added a cardstock sentiment that was in the same paper series by Photoplay.
We'd love to see your creations and get more inspired.  Remember you have until the 14th of October to submit it for consideration to win some free images from ADU!

Sweet Valentine using Sherri Baldy's Img 5281

It's that Special time of year when our thoughts
turn to our loved ones and those that are near and dear to our hearts.  Love comes in may forms and I like to express my feelings to family with my cards.
Sherri Baldy makes it so easy to choose one of her digital images to use but, it also is a curse!!  Because there are so MANY to pick from in her Bestie Shop.  This cutie is Img 5281 from the Sweet Lil' Things collection.  Just makes me feel like Spring is right around the corner!  I used the same beige distressed polka dot paper on the angled corner as in the inside of the card.  Metal butterfly has a Baker's Twine bow on the top.  There's an Echo Park sentiment block on the inside greeting.
Be sure and check out The Besties Shop for Your Valentine image-she has so many!

New Digital Images over at All Dressed Up!

It's time for new releases over at All Dressed Up and Wendy's been busy creating so many cute images for us!

This one is called Butterfly Wings and perfect for this time of year- I know I'm seeing them all over the flowers in our yard!  After coloring her with Copics, I matted her with dark purple design paper and then used some glitter embossed patterned heavy paper.  It sure is hard to capture the sparkle in the light!  The prettiest accent is the double layer glittered butterfly in the corner.
On the inside, I used the same glittery embossed for a liner, then coloring up one of a unique  set of printed sentiments on watercolor paper, I added it to finish the card off.  Hope you like it and will visit the ADU site so see all the gorgeous images that are available for your coloring fun!

Spring is coming to All Dressed Up!! Introducing some New Design Team members!

I know here in Illinois, we are still having some chilly weather-How about you?  Well this adorable image from All Dressed Up sure does warm me up-it's named Pretty as a Picture.  And, this is usually the way I am in Spring & Summer, out among the multitude of flowers.  I took a few liberties with her, adding some grass and dirt in the foreground, polka-dots on her dress.  But, she really is an image that could be a CAS card also.
I used a 6.25 square card because I wanted to have room for some extra flowers-but, being digital, you could size her to work with whatever base you wanted. I added some gingham ribbon for a side accent. On the inside I repeated the soft background, added a color close butterfly and a sentiment with an epoxy dot.
If this doesn't make you think of Springtime instead of the cold winterish weather many of us have been having, I don't know what will!
Today on the All Dressed Up site, we are reminding you that we have a challenge going on and we'd love to see all of your creations!  But in addition, We are introducing some wonderfully talented gals to you-they will be joining the Design Team and we are so happy to have them here.  They are very inspiring and I hope that you will check out the blogs of all the DT!

I'm using 1 of a group of 4 fabulous images called Wear With Style2.  Each of them is amazing and great for those teenager girls!  Isn't the plaid so neat?  I cut the front flap down to 1/3rd  and used an embossed bubble handmade paper in a terrific Raspberry color.  The I placed my image on top and used a similar background to match the embossed paper--I got my favorite plaid paper in pink & green and used it on the inside of the card.  An oval die cut was a great spot for a KKS sentiment!  And I placed a white die cut for writing next to it.  I topped it off with some dimensional embellishments and she's ready to mail !

Chasing Butterflies over at Come and Get It! IN THE GARDEN is our Theme~ATG

Well Spring is really in the air with temps in the 60's and lower 70's--I hope where ever you are that you're finally feeling some warmth in the air!
This week at Come and Get It our Theme is "In the Garden" which is always where I want to be!  The image I'm using , from Cute As a Button, is called Chasing Butterflies and reminds me so much of my daughter!  We love our flowers in this family and always chasing butterflies for her 4H project!
I colored her up in my favorite medium, Copics.  I like splitting the background papers-sort of balances the scene.  You can see the dimensional effects I added, the cloud and the fence-both of which are shaded but the lighting makes it a little hard to see and some purple "goosebumps" in the bottom right corner.
I used paper lace under the matted picture but on top of the accent strip.
On the inside, I finished with with the dark purple design paper and a double matted sentiment--What a great card to get as a Thank You!
So now it's your turn-come over to Come and Get It and show us your latest project.  It will be an inspiration to us and love to get new ideas!

All Dressed Up has it's NEW RELEASE for March! 4 new images!

Welcome to the first new release images for 2017 at All Dressed Up! And Wendy has done us proud again with more gorgeous images.  They are now available in the Etsy Store -}here and they are named Feeling Spoilt, Flowers for Mum, Clunk Clunk, and Easter Bonnet.
As you can see, I've used the Easter Bonnet cutie-I just love these images she creates!  I used beautiful Spring colors and tried to keep them soft--always a challenge for me that likes dark shading!  A simple cloud background and she was ready to go.  I split the design paper to ground the image, added white paper lace and some epoxy dots.  Used a Birthday Stamp from my stash and already know what lovely sweet person is going to get this for her Birthday!  On the inside, I used a complimentary floral print and stamped a KKS stamp that is so meaningful!

I am sure you will agree that Wendy has produced 4 absolutely gorgeous images this month (As always!)

Theme of Flowers at Crafting When We Can-Sweet Escapes Digis is sponsoring us!

This week at Crafting When We Can is so special because we are being sponsored by Sweet Escapes Digis  and they have a great collection of digital images in their Etsy store.  We are using the Theme of Flowers and this image I'm using is called Ella.  She is a full sized image but I wanted to accent her beautiful face and upper collar so enlarged her that way--the joy of going digital!  I used dimensional pop dots under her to bring the attention to her.
I love the "burnished" look of her red hair and how it compliments the Teal coloring of her dress!  I just so happened to have this Graphic 45 printed paper that has all the colors in it and matched so well!  How lucky is that!!  You'd find it hard to believe that I fit this all on a 5.25 sq card!  I put a light blue mat cut very close behind her picture to lift it from the busy paper.  In the flowers, I used several different sizes and shades, pulled from the coloring.  Then I glued a butterfly on for even more accent.  On the inside liner, I reversed the Graphic 45 paper and had a complimentary design paper with a retro kind of cut on the verse from my stash.  think this will make a wonderful Birthday card for a dear friend!  We hope you will come join us for this great challenge-We can't wait to see YOUR creation!

A Summertime image from Sherri Baldy-Butterflies and Hearts!

It's a great time to try something new and this big-eyed beauty is just the ticket!  This is an Image(img510) from Sherri Baldy that I decided to color in some yummy summertime colors.  I tried a different effect on her bonnet, using a cross-hatch stroke on the top and brim so that it would make it look like it was woven.
A favorite color combination for this time of year is Pink and green-so fresh!  I used a wood grain background that brought out the yellows in the card.   It even had flecks of green in it.  Micro dot mat in green with stitched ribbon on the corners helped to bring out the green in her huge big eyes! The image is accented with a butterfly on her hat, clustered mulberry flowers and branches in the corner and a whimsical butterfly die cut on the front edge.
On the inside liner, more accents and a Happy Birthday stamp!  You can never have enough of those cards right?!
Thanks for visiting and while you're at it take a look at the latest Sherri Baldy Challenge !  See you there!

Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion-Welcome SLS Lines as our sponsor

What a joy it was to color this beautiful image called Nature Fairy from SLS Lines for our Always Anything Goes Challenge at Craft Your Passion!!!!
These fairies are so popular with everyone now--this one is SO delicate and detailed.  Loved working with her!!  The prize for the winner in this Challenge is 3 single images from the sponsor's store.
I matted the image using a textured printed green-almost like a wallpaper!  I used some floral die-cuts, some fern branches, some small accent flowers from Petallu and one of the gorgeous twisted flowers with lots of glitter also from Petallu.  I added another filigree butterfly in cream for even more depth.  On the inside, I matter it with a distressed pink design paper with a corner accent.  Then stamped it with a sentiment about friendship.
I hope you will join us in our weekly challenge-we'd love to see your creations!

Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion! Geraniums from Becky's Place is the Star for me!

I am SO looking forward to seeing some Geraniums this Spring-it's coming, I know it is!!!  It was beginning to get warmer today in Illinois and I can just smell the spicy scent of these beauties from the digital artist at Becky's Place!  She is the sponsor of this 2 week Challenge at Craft Your Passion where it's Always Anything Goes!
Isn't this dainty thing adorable?  I love all colors of plant but I'm partial to pinks.  And if you're lucky to find the ones with a little white edging on the leaves-Bonus!  My daughter and I love to go Garden Shopping in the Spring and I like these cause they will survive the hot summers and drought like conditions you sometimes find in my state.  Well enough about that-this image is colored with Copics, I matted it with a hot pink cardstock and then trimmed the edge with a cream colored paper lace.  I tried to replicate the look of mulch on the brown dirt.  Added a dimensional butterfly and a die cut that I stamped with a sentiment!  Whew and it went together in a snap-must have been in the zone withe this pretty!  On the inside I used a grungy pink check paper and stamped another sentiment, leaving a lot of room for personalizing.  Come join in the fun at Craft Your Passion! The winner gets 3 digital images or 1 digital set of choice from her store!
