All Dressed Up Stamps Challenge-ATG

Over at All Dressed Up Stamps, we have a month long challenge--Anything Goes w/ an ADU image.  Great prizes for the winners!  You have until March 14th to get your creation in for review-We can't wait to see your Beauties!

The image I chose to use on the DT is called "Home Sweet Home" and could apply to many situations~ Quarantined at home, staying home as a refuge, New home buying, Glad for the birds and flowers that are coming soon.  I will be glad to get out and about in our flower and vegetable gardens and am thankful every day that we live in the country where that's possible!

After coloring with Copics, I mounted the picture on pink polka dotted paper, placed another piece angled over the distressed wood paper underneath-I love the blues and yellows together. I added a small 2 loop bow made on a fork and 2 lace accents from my stash.  On the inside, I used a perky blue & white dotted paper and used a sentiment stamp again from my stash.

Come on over and join all of us for the Challenge, There's lots of free images in the store-AND you will love the choice of images when you win!  And we want to get inspired!!  Can't wait to see your entry~

Love is up in the Air for All Dressed Up Stamps' Challenge

I knew when I first saw the image "Wedding Balloon" at All Dressed Up Stamps that I had to use it to build up my Engagement/shower/wedding cards!  It's so beautiful by Wendy Burns!

Not only are the couple "floating" in the clouds, but so is the paper they're stamped on with the use of pop dots.  Using the newest clouds stencil on the market, I've been having a ball making my backgrounds.  I need a little more practice on them but I love the puffiness of them.  *On a side note, I feel a kinship with hot air balloons.  The Blanchard side of my heritage is best known for being the first hot air balloonist in France-his "contraption even had a set of large Wings attached for "lift"? I guess.  I've seen many illustrations of his balloon in our history pages and on retail merchandise even.

On the inside, I used floral cream and pink paper to coordinate with the front.  I used a sheer sticker Love sticker then I add some absolutely gorgeous, heavy, embroidered lace that is accented with sequins and pink satin thread. What a finish to this card-I hope you like it as much as I do!

Koala Bear Love ~ Sherri Baldy's Beautiful Image

There are so many uses for this image!  One of Sherri Baldy's Big Eyed Besties, cuddling up with 3 adorable Koala Bears!  I just love how her red hair turned out!!  Sherri always has such beautiful cascades of hair on her images -love 'em!
I colored her with copics-am still not very good with animal fur so often resort to little dots for some texture.  Love the ombre blue hearts against the red shiny hair.  The backside of this P e r f e c t  design paper is a washed blue so it made a perfect complimentary mat for the image. I've been wanting to use some of the lace appliques I recently purchased online, cutting them apart to make them fit the space.  Think they make the cards oh so feminine.
On the inside, I used some paper in the same blue with some script that looks like Love Letters and is accented with blue hearts!
We hope that you'll visit Sherri's Store to find just the right image for your special gift or project!

Vintage Happy Birthday Card using Sherri Baldy's Sweet Lil' Things Img 5471

I'm using an image on this card from Sherri Baldy's "Sweet Lil' Things" collection.  This is Image 5471 and I did her in warm Copics and earthy hair colors.  Using 2 sided paper from KaiserCraft's Fairy Garden group, I was able to use them throughout the card.
I like to purchase laces and then cut out individual pieces from the whole that I can apply on the greeting cards that I make.  Great paper combination from Kaisercraft to keep the Vintage feel, along with the cream pearls.  On the inside, you can see more closely the 2-sided paper and then the sentiment gold accent.
Be sure and check out Sherri's shop where she has so many different Collections both characters, seasonal, themed images-each one unique.  There's also several digital paper groups that are so special!  She will be sure to have just what you're looking for!

Every challenge at Come And Get It is so much fun because we get to use so many gorgeous images from some great Sponsors!!  This week is no exception-Paper Nest Dolls has graciously allowed us multiple choices-I love this one called Emma w/ Snowflake Banner.  The Goal of the Challenge was to use 3 or more Layers, which I did with the double mats/paper lace/and the glitter swirly design paper.

At the top corner I wanted a little sparkle so I used some "Twinkle Goosebumps" in lavender.  The stamp fits perfectly underneath them and it's great for those wintry Birthdays.  On the inside liner, I repeated using the turquoise cardstock with an uplifting stamp in the corner and swirls of a white dimensional glittery flourishs.  Lots of room for Best Wishes.  Remember to stop by and show us your creation-we'd love to see it!!

ATG over at All Dressed Up! Use an All Dressed Up Image ~

At All Dressed Up we are having a Blog Challenge that runs for a month-Yep until the evening of the 14th of November!  Plenty of time to get your freebies here or visit the ADU Store here!  You will have a hard time deciding because they are all amazing!
My heartstrings were just pulled when I saw "Little Skater" in the store-she is so pretty.
I colored her with copics, sticking to purples (stockings and scarf) and shades of blue, and used white opal Liquid Pearls for her ice skates.  Her ear muffs are covered with white Flower Soft to simulate fur.  Copic B60 is like a cross between lavender and light blue so perfect for the background sky-then I laid a layer of icy blue for the skating rink.  Then White Chunky Frantage all over for snowflakes!
Thought I would give you a close up of the feathery flower/snowflake cluster in the corner.  Look closely for the crystal jewels that are scattered throughout!
Besides the image, the jeweltone blue background is a standout on this card.  It's actually individual 5-sided multi-shaded blue "chips" that are adhered to the cardstock- pretty thick layered.  It really gives it a prismatic look-I've tilted the card so you could get a look.  On the inside liner, I've got a white embossed speckled cardstock, a matted Christmas sentiment with a blue/silver foil snowflake accent.  Ahh this beauty is finished and ready to deliver to a friend!

I really love girly cards and I'm so lucky to be on the UK DT of Sherri Baldy's My Besties Group--because so many of her images (this one is img 706) have ruffles, bows, curly cues in the hair just to name a few girly things!!!
This image is no different!  I instantly started looking for paper with flowers, lace, flowers, and bling!  I'm a hopeless romantic for sure.
I used a 6x6 scalloped edge card that believe it or not I got from a UK site that was closing down-More Girly!  I ran some heavy lace down one side of the copic colored image and then put tiny pearls along the lace flowers.  I found quite an assortment of flowers in different colors and sizes for the bottom corner.  On the inside, a complimentary stripe with a heavy cardstock sentiment grouping-It's neat that a variety of them come on a sheet and you just pick the one you want.
I had a very special Lady to send this to for her Birthday-my cousin, we are the only 2 women in the whole close family.  Even though we live far apart, we're never too far from each others thoughts.
Just as a reminder, there's still time in the month to enter one of your creations in our Challenge-come out and play!
If you use our theme this month
Halloween or Anything Goes
which must include a Besties Image
you will receive an extra entry
our winners will receive the following
1st prize 4 images of choice
2 prize 2 images of choice
3rd prize 1 image of choice
and the Same but Different winner receives the image we use this month on the 15th

ATG over at Craft Your Passion Challenge-Sponsored by Julia Spiri! THIS Card just WON as "most commented on" & free digis!

This week on Craft Your Passion where it's Always Anything Goes, we are proud to use images from Julia Spiri!  Mine is called Fashion from Paris and comes with many individual images.  So using them, I've created a collage.
I've cut back the front edge about 2 inches so that the inside liner shows.  I wanted to make her dress flow over the edge and the Stickles on her bows, upper edge of her dress and the "extra" Magenta necklace really makes her image pop!  Then I just layered her clothes around her dress form-like you might find in any ladies bedroom.  I added a strip of paper lace along the front edge.  On the inside liner I used a vintage music sheet thinking of French romantic music.  I added a lovely sentiment also.
We'd love to have you join us at our challenge and give us a chance to be inspired with your creations!

"Same But Different" for the My Besties UK Design Team--Hope you are inspired!

It's half-way through the month and, at My Besties UK, we like to have an event called "Same But Different" on the 15th.  Each of the DT members take the same image and put our own Flair on it!  This month's image is called Hollyhock Fairy and she's a cutie!  You can find her on the My Besties Shop here.
After coloring her with copics, I added Diamond Dust Stickles to her wings and Diamond Glaze to her gorgeous brown eyes so that they would look wet.  She is double matted, with a heavy lace accent on the side.  I used a double sided paper that had the whitewashed on one side and the terracotta colored patterned paper on the other.  The bonus is that on the edge of the 12 x 12 paper, as many companies are doing now, there was a sentiment on the very edge in Kraft color.  As you can see I used it on the front along with some flat based pearls. I finished my project in the inside liner by using the patterned paper and a rubber stamped Friends sentiment.
I hope as you look through the images, you will get inspired by our creations and go to Sherri Baldy's Store and pick out a cutie to use yourself!
I'd Love to enter my card in the following Challenges:
