Horace & Boo from Polkadoodles are heading for the Garden

I'm visiting with my friends over at Polkadoodles again...this time with Horace & Boo with their Wheelbarrow found here. They're in the Garden and have a full load, complete with a mouse!

There is so much detail going on with this digital stamp that I almost got out the colored pencils.  But I used my trusty Copics -I had fun making the dog into a Dalmatian.   Using the In love with Autumn paper pack, I pictured them walking down to the vege garden, looking for the last of the yummy goodies of the season.  Just like we are doing at our house.

I used a scrap strip of yellow polka-dotted paper, stamped a friend sentiment on it and put a bronze ribbon slide on it and used it as a banner on the print.  I felt it was a great time to use my highly popular cloud stencil as a backdrop. I'm so in love with the fluffy look of this!  I then added some orange jute twine along with some wooden stars and popped the whole creation up on foam dots for some dimension.

On the finished inside, again using the Autumn papers, I kept it simple with a paper stripe in the corner and a simple friendship sentiment from my collection.

Thanks for looking at my Polkadoodles creation-Come visit us again soon!

Chasing Butterflies over at Come and Get It! IN THE GARDEN is our Theme~ATG

Well Spring is really in the air with temps in the 60's and lower 70's--I hope where ever you are that you're finally feeling some warmth in the air!
This week at Come and Get It our Theme is "In the Garden" which is always where I want to be!  The image I'm using , from Cute As a Button, is called Chasing Butterflies and reminds me so much of my daughter!  We love our flowers in this family and always chasing butterflies for her 4H project!
I colored her up in my favorite medium, Copics.  I like splitting the background papers-sort of balances the scene.  You can see the dimensional effects I added, the cloud and the fence-both of which are shaded but the lighting makes it a little hard to see and some purple "goosebumps" in the bottom right corner.
I used paper lace under the matted picture but on top of the accent strip.
On the inside, I finished with with the dark purple design paper and a double matted sentiment--What a great card to get as a Thank You!
So now it's your turn-come over to Come and Get It and show us your latest project.  It will be an inspiration to us and love to get new ideas!

All Dressed Up has it's NEW RELEASE for March! 4 new images!

Welcome to the first new release images for 2017 at All Dressed Up! And Wendy has done us proud again with more gorgeous images.  They are now available in the Etsy Store -}here and they are named Feeling Spoilt, Flowers for Mum, Clunk Clunk, and Easter Bonnet.
As you can see, I've used the Easter Bonnet cutie-I just love these images she creates!  I used beautiful Spring colors and tried to keep them soft--always a challenge for me that likes dark shading!  A simple cloud background and she was ready to go.  I split the design paper to ground the image, added white paper lace and some epoxy dots.  Used a Birthday Stamp from my stash and already know what lovely sweet person is going to get this for her Birthday!  On the inside, I used a complimentary floral print and stamped a KKS stamp that is so meaningful!

I am sure you will agree that Wendy has produced 4 absolutely gorgeous images this month (As always!)

"Spring has Sprung" is the Challenge Theme at Sweet Pea's ONE SWEET CHALLENGE for April!

This Stunner is by a favorite artist of mine that now creates for Sweet Pea Stamps, Lynne Stansbery.  I got to know her through Squigglefly and she has great shading and unique images!  This one is called Tender Loving Care.  I took some liberties with adding a young pink bud to the plant, where the leaves were accented with "dew drops" made from clear acrylic glue. (kind of hard to see from the picture).  I used a "loopy" felt flower and added the button on the corner.  White cardstock flower pods and branches are compliments of friends.  On the inside, I finished the card with a coordinating flower paper and used the double sided paper for the accent strip.  The verse is from my stash-perfect don't you think?

This card is my "premier" card as a New Design Team Member on the Sweet Pea One Sweet Challenge Team and I'm thrilled to death that they asked me to join them.  I'm looking forward to a great relationship-I so admire their images!

Winners are chosen randomly. If the winning card uses a Sweet Pea Stamp image the prize is a $10 gift card to the SPS store. A $5 gift card will be awarded to the winner if the image is from any other company.  So at least twice a month, I hope you will return to my blog to see what the newest offering is from Sweet Pea Stamps & OSC Design Team !

Digi Sketch Sponsorship for Doodle Pantry~Playing along

I don't know where my head was this week!  I made this entry as Doodle Pantry DT Support for the latest challenge at Digi Sketch Challenge which started on Monday the 7th and runs through Sunday--and then I forgot to post it!  We were to follow the sketch shown with an "in the Garden" theme.  I was thrilled to join my fellow DT in the Doodle Pantry sponsorship using Bird Mothers, the background paper, image, mat, even the "ribbon" from a piece of solid paper. The great sentiments from the set were used on the front ribbon AND on the tag that slips in the side pocket of the image.  I put some eyelash fiber in the tag's eyelet and the inside has a cream liner for some thoughts of your own.
Join in the fun-the sketch makes it easier to come up with a creation!
