Remember the New Release for February over at All Dressed Up Stamps

Over at All Dressed Up Stamps, we're
reminding you that there are some New Releases' for February!  Feel free to nab them in the ADU Shop before the next ones come out!
The NR image I chose to use on this romantic card is called "Love Hearts" and is so delicately drawn by our resident artist, Wendy Burns.  She's a digital image so can be adjusted to whatever size you need to use.

After coloring her with Copic Sketch Markers, I masked off her image and brushed on some Spun Sugar Distress Ink over a stencil that has hearts going around and around.  Used a fancy edged die on the image to frame it and mounted it at an angle so you could see the multicolored heart paper in the background.  I did add some mulberry roses but used these flower stickers to pick up the pinks and yellows in the paper.  I love the way they look like you rolled them yourself! On the inside, you can see the heart paper again but also a chipboard-like sentiment that coordinates with it all.
Thanks for checking this out and be sure to browse the shop for some great images!

Frosty Smiles Collection at Polkadoodles- Hello Frosty Snowman is a great one for Valentine's Day

One of the newest collections over at Polkadoodles is the "Frosty Smiles" group and this one is called Frosty Smiles-Hello Frosty Snowman.  The Bundle can be found at this link here.
They come digitally, black & white or pre-colored.  This is one of my favorites in the group, colored with my fav medium, copics.
For the card, I put a strip in the middle of the design paper of glitter heavy cardstock.  I mounted the image that I'd brushed Milled Lavender Oxide around the edges in the center. Stamped a sentiment from my stash (edged in diamond stickles) and then went crazy with snowflakes everywhere!! Gradient design paper in  the inside with another stamped sentiment.
Copics used:
Bird:  C02-03-04, YR21
Snowman:  RV91, RV10, C0, C01, YR21, YR12
Hearts:  RV00, RV91
Scarf:  RV34, hearts White Waterbased Sharpie
Twigs:  W3

The Image I used today is called Christmas Baubles and includes the main large ornament and also 2 smaller ornaments.  Because I wanted to enlarge the main bauble, I fancy cut all three ornaments and then hand drew the cords holding them.  I colored them using Stickles, Liquid Pearl White, copics and silver Hint of Stella.  I used a cardstock sentiment for the front and then heaped "snow" all over the place!  I added a different design paper inside and some sentiments from the same cardstock series.

You can also buy any of Wendy's amazing images from the All Dressed Up store-} here.
Now what could be easier than that?

This is my contribution to the monthly Challenge, called Birthday Butterfly.  I used a black mat and added some paper lace to accent this cute image!  The wings were given the "Diamond Dust Stickle Treatment" and I used Nuvo drops for the butterfly's antenna.
On the inside, I used a bold b&w check with a cardstock sentiment to carry out the theme.

You can also buy any of Wendy's amazing images from the All Dressed Up store -} here.

Now what could be easier than that?

It's a Monsters Birthday Party--at Color It Create It Show it Off

It's a Monster Party over at Color It Create It Show It Off and I just love this quirky image 006 from Sherri Baldy.  It can be found in her shop here.  There's quite a variety of them and we know you'll find just the right one for some Fun! Our theme is Monster Birthday and I went in a different direction from the birthday balloons.  I shadowed the dots on her face so it make them look raised up-Then threw on some Stickles as an accent.  Also put some purple Stickles on her toenails and green on her antennas and epoxy dots randomly spread.  I lucked out that the design paper that I used also had the phrase already printed out so of course I used it.  On the inside , I matched some pink papers up from my Stash and used a KKS stamp.

I've enjoyed every minute of my time on this great DT team and it is with a heavy heart that I  have decided to go and try other things in Blogland.  This will be my last post for CICISIO and I wish all the friends and "second" family all the Best!!  They've been gracious enough to leave the door open for me if I want to come back in the future-that means a lot to me.  So look for me on FB - I'm sure that I'll be around!  Thanks for the memories!

Great Christmas cards created with Sherri Ann Baldy imges! Purple & Lime love it!

One of my favorite Christmas card digital images this year was the one you see here from Sherri Baldy!  We know it as Scan 102 and she can be found HERE in Sherri's store, newly released.
I always have a love/hate relationship with the colors of purple but thought I'd tackle it for this card-because of the awesome paper I found that contained purple/lime, one of my favorite combinations.
After coloring with copics, and accenting all the beads, stars, and snowflakes with stickles and liquid pearls, I matted her with lime green and then wrapped the image with purple sheer chiffon ribbon.  I added a great sentiment stamp from KKS and a silver Tree charm with narrow bow.
The inside liner continues the color theme and a larger clear stamp from KKS.  I love how festive this card turned out!!
I'd like to enter this in the following:

The Little Angel announces the new Challenge at All Dressed Up--ATG 's w/ ADU image!

Hiya Dressy's
Welcome back to a brand new challenge.
As always the theme for our Blog Challenge is -
Anything Goes
but you must use a All Dressed Up Image.
Not got any? There are some gorgeous freebies -} here.
But please respect the rules!
Or you can buy any of Wendy's fab images from the All Dressed Up store -} here.
Now what could be easier than that?

We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations.  We will invite one of these winners back as a guest DT for our next challenge.
I chose to use the image called "Little Angel" and I thought it was perfect for this time of year.  The front is covered with a deeply embossed silver and white paper, then it has a blue speckled paper on the second layer (reminds me of snow), that layer is wrapped with an organza ribbon and bow-I sewed 2 silver snowflakes under the bow.  The Angel is colored with copics and I've put Star Dust Stickles on the wings and the top edge of the angel's sleeves.  On the inside, it's the snowflake paper again with a great Christmas sentiment from KKS-they're always perfect!
We do hope you will find the time to play along - You have until the evening of the 14th to enter your creations using the link at the bottom of the challenge page.

Making a Christmas Ornament from a Lemon Shortbread image-at the Come And Get It Challenge!

Tonights' Come And Get It entry is so unusual for me-instead of a card, our task was to create "anything but" a card.  With this being the Christmas season, I took this adorable image "Winter Fairy" from Lemon Shortbread and created an Ornament for our tree.
Because she was colored on cardstock with Copics, she was a little fragile to survive through the years.  So I fancy cut the original layer out and then mounted her to some heavier white pearlized cardstock and trimmed it out also.  Used some narrow baby blue satin ribbon, made a bow for the top of the hanger loop, and then stuck a sticky dot down to hold the ribbon ends and covered that with an oval of the same cardstock to "finish" it.  I used crystal Stickles on the bottom "slip" and also on her wings.
Be watching on the 18th for another creation-that one WILL be a card and then on to the New Year full of new challenges and images.  We can't wait to see you then!

Working on Christmas cards at Craft Your Passion-Digital Delights by Louby Loo is our gracious sponsor!

This little cutie called "Sleigh Ride Marcie" from our sponsor Digital Delights by Louby Loo where if you are a winner you will get a $5 voucher in her store!
We here at Craft Your Passion are so thankful for their participation with us!
This design is very unique and detailed but so much FUN!  I colored her with copics and then used White flower Soft on her "fur" on her cap- stickles on her snowflake.  I love how the micro red/white dot paper is just the right "anchor" on the busy Christmas words paper.  I added a red hemp bow holding a bright silver snowflake.  I finished the inside of the card using fishtail banners of accent papers, stamped a sentiment from KKS in cherry red and attached a shimmery snowflake there also.  Plenty of room to wish your friends a wonderful Merry Christmas!

Snowman and Embossing-such a perfect duo at Squigglefly!

I always love to have the chance to use a Snowman on any of my cards!  How can you not love their loveable faces!!  This week at Squigglefly, we are asked to use any embossing or die cuts on our cards!  I used a great embossing folder from Darcie that has lots of Christmas words and snowflakes on it that I did on pristine white cardstock.  I used iridescent stickles on those-how pretty!  Then I used an image called Snowy Card by Marla Shega, a great artist at Squigglefly.  I love her details!  The image is mounted with foam dots with a red sheer ribbon wrapped behind with a bow. The most gorgeous feature on this card, to accent the delicious red on his hat band, is the red velveteen paper from The Paper Studio-it gives the card so much depth!
For the inside of the card, I used a vintage holly paper with a wonderful stamped verse so appropriate for the Christmas season.  Squigglefly has SO many images to use for any reason, any season-You must go check them out in the shop!

Squigglefly wants to see some BLING or EMBOSSING

This week I'm using some Stickles on my image to join in the BLING or EMBOSS challenge hosted by Squigglefly.  The image is by James Horvath called Secret Agent set, surrounded by a Half-Moon Rectangle created by Charlene Mitchell.  I just love this Spy (reminds me of Get Smart and the 60's).  Then the fake nose/mustache/glasses image from the Spy set is added to a text box from my computer for my Birthday Wish.  The accents are a group of assorted buttons and a great stitched manly ribbon down the side.  These are some of the monthly new images and there are plenty of others launching also-be sure to check them out at the SF shop and see all the wonderful artists they have.  Join in the weekly challenge-you have until Sunday to play and possibly win a free image!

What's the BUZZZZZZZ>>>>> around Seems a Little Sketchy this week??

For this 2-week challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy, we're being sponsored by Imagine That! with some great images and background papers.  The sketch we all based our cards on is shown here and for the winner of the challenge, Imagine That! is offering 3 digital images for you~
I was able to digitally layer the background papers to fit the sketch and then fancy cut the "Bee Boy" and mounted him with pop dots--hadn't made a 5x7 card for quite a while but you about needed to in order to squeeze all the neat items into the card!  There's Stickles on the Bee Wings and the Hive.  In the inside, again digital layering except for the bee ribbon that I've been dying to use!  Hope you will check us out and get an entry together so that you have a chance of winning!  We'll see you there!

It's Happy Birthday for the STAR in your Family at Squigglefly!

This week's challenge at Squiggle Fly is to make a card with a STAR on it, or make  your card STAR shaped. (We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.)  I've used an image from Sandra Caldwell called Ladybug Gal--she has so many others in the SF shop!  I paired her with this great Happy Birthday paper I had that's LOADED with stars.  I used diamond stickles on all of those as well as her fairy wings.  The abbreviated version of Happy Birthday to You fit in just perfect over the 2 die cut stars that I used in the corner!  A truly FUN card to use for that Special Day.  We hope to see you with an entry on this weekly Challenge!

We've Happily LABORED to bring you the September Launch at Doodle Pantry!

It's never too soon to start your Christmas cards and with this great release from Doodle Pantry called Carousel Deer, it's a great combination! This Holiday Deer is all decked out in a Christmas Themed Saddle and so Festive. I love the color combination of this gorgeous Teal and Pink~ I added some shimmery pink specialty paper from The Paper Studio called Fireweed Metallic, Pink velvet ribbon, a rhinestone and pearl embellie, and a Frostyville edge die cut from Memory Box.  I added diamond Stickles to the die and throughout the deer image.

On the inside, because of the pngs, I layered the different solid colors in the set, added the sentiment and flipped the deer down to the color.
Check out all the other DT posts to the new release and prepare to be amazed!  You will get so many new ideas for your creations.  We can't wait to see you there!

Doodle Pantry "Cute Cake" new release makes it's debut this month!

This is one of my favorite new releases from Doodle Pantry for SO many reasons!  I just love the greens and purples together, so many possibilities with all the download has to offer, the crisp clean images, multiple sentiments, great design papers--Wow how cool!
I wanted my card to be all about the CAKE so I enlarged the digi , mounted it on the 5 x 6.5 horizontal card blank and then did a fancy cut around the image.  By doing that, it is hinged so that it has a dimensional look!
I slid the complimentary design paper under the image, rounded the corners of the blank so it would match the round features of the image and fancy cut the banner.  By cutting the saying in half, I could frame the cake.  Nestled under the cake digi is one of the sentiments from the release.  I just love all the flourishes she puts on these! The little turquoise Twinkle Goosebumps are great bling to use-by Queen & Co.  And several accents on the cake are glittered with Stickles, crystal-purple- turquoise.
The great thing about Doodle Pantry is that if you use one of the new releases from the website in our challenge "any digi ", then you get a free new release called Petite Bouquet.  This card was made using that wonderful set--Come on and join us!
