ATG Challenge at ALL Dressed Up--It feels like Springtime!

I'm sure loving all the Spring images coming out of All Dressed Up lately-makes you smell the fresh air and anticipate all the gorgeous flowers getting ready to bloom!
This image called Busy Little Bee is one that's special to me-I love how I was able to get the shine on the Bee outfit-I had all this unique "bee" design paper in my stash so what a perfect time to use it!  Both the front sentiment and the inside liner sentiment both came as part of the set.
I accented the antenna and the "honey" with epoxy dots and the coolest item on this card (I think) is the surprise Hubby left me on my finished coloring one evening.  See, I like to leave my colorings on my work table so that when he comes to bed, he has to pass by it and I like to get his opinion on the finished product (he's a retired Art Teacher and his thoughts mean a lot to me).  Well, he likes to work on fishing lures and decided he'd fool me with a fish glass eye sitting on the side bumblebee.  Only, after playing around with it, I thought it would look cool to put on top of the black circles that were her eyes-I kind of like the effect!
On the inside, I used an alternate bee paper and, like I mentioned, a sentiment from the set.  This card can be used for so many occasions!
I hope you will join us for this month's Challenge-it's always Anything Goes as long as it's with a ADU image.  It lasts until April 14th-the winner could be YOU!  Can't wait to see your creations!

What's the BUZZZZZZZ>>>>> around Seems a Little Sketchy this week??

For this 2-week challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy, we're being sponsored by Imagine That! with some great images and background papers.  The sketch we all based our cards on is shown here and for the winner of the challenge, Imagine That! is offering 3 digital images for you~
I was able to digitally layer the background papers to fit the sketch and then fancy cut the "Bee Boy" and mounted him with pop dots--hadn't made a 5x7 card for quite a while but you about needed to in order to squeeze all the neat items into the card!  There's Stickles on the Bee Wings and the Hive.  In the inside, again digital layering except for the bee ribbon that I've been dying to use!  Hope you will check us out and get an entry together so that you have a chance of winning!  We'll see you there!

Show Your Love/Hearts to Squigglefly this week!

The challenge this week is Have A Heart, Please! Please use a heart on your card somewhere.  This could be a heart inside your image, a heart embellishment, diecut hearts, heart printed ribbon, heart paper, heart brad, or even a heart shaped card! Show us your hearts.  You are welcome to  make a Valentine, but as the Hobbyists show you in their examples, you don't have to have a Valentine theme. We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.

For this Challenge, I used a Pammie Lehto image called Will You Bee Mine? Isn't it just perfect for Valentine's Day?  I've had this 2-sided paper I've been wanting to use with some of her Bee images called "Bee's Knees" by Echo Park; so on the inside I used the opposite side with blue background and bees flying all around and added a yellow Top Note insert for sentiment.
Remember this coming weekend, there will be a new release of images in the Squigglefly Shop so check them out.  There's lots of Valentine images and sentiments already and, who knows, there may be more with the release!!  Come play along with us and win an image if your entry is chosen!

THANK YOU at Squigglefly's First Challenge for 2014!!

Are you all ready for the first Squiggle Fly challenge of the year? Well, since there was no challenge last week, we have no winner to announce, so we will get right with it....
The first challenge is: to make a Thank You card, with an added twist, if you wish-which is to use Embossing on it too. I am sure we all have Thank Yous to send out for all the wonderful holiday gifts!

The image that I'm featuring on my card this week is Little Bee by artist Monica Estill --she's one of many talented artists at Squigglefly.  Be sure and check out the selection and variety-especially the first weekend of each month!  That's when the new releases are listed!
On this card, I used an embossed card front that has Many different ways to say Thank You~I Always need these cards.  I added some green fun chevron paper, bumblebee ribbon and some great Crystal Ice Stickles to his wings. The inside is finished off with a top note label in yellow with a stamp of Thank You!
Can you tell I'm SOOO tired of Winter here in Illinois and ready for Spring?? Winter Storm hit this weekend and we were without electricity for 23 hours-Yikes!  Think WARM  Thoughts!

Something with Shape(s) is the newest challenge from Squigglefly

This week the Holley Hobbiest Team at Squigglefly has given us to a SHAPE  Challenge!  Use at least three different shapes somewhere on your card somehow; For example, enclose your image in an oval, your sentiment in a decorative rectangle, and have a star shaped embellishment....get the idea?
So for this I attempted to work with an Outer Stair Step Card, using the great pre-cut and scored card from The Paper Cut.  This pumpkin colored form is from their Earth Variety pack which has some wonderful Fall Colors.  It made a great base for the fun, playful digital images called Bee Hive  and Bee Set by Pammie Lehto.  She is one of the many talented artists at Squigglefly.  I used lots of mats, patterned paper as well as homemade paper, and  some bling.  This all compresses down to an A2 sized card .  The shapes I used were rectangle, oval (those chubby bees) and the step card shape!  Hope those all count!!
So go have some fun with this and perhaps you could win a Squigglefly image from the shop-They have Tonzzzzzzz of great images to choose from!
