All Dressed Up FEBRUARY New Releases

**To my Followers, my apologies for being gone for so long.  I have been having some surgeries, kidney and hand recently, and have just not been up to par to sit at the computer.  Hopefully that is all behind me and you will see more postings.

On a much more interesting topic, This is the date for the All Dressed Up Stamps NEW RELEASES and  my card is made using the image "Kitty Hearts".  There are so many ways to color her in-I used copics- and even her hair could be colored using a line technique as I did or, in highlight shading.

As she was sitting on a branch, I decided to create a scene where she is sitting among the tall trees looking up to the sunny blue sky.  I used a tree template from The Stencil Market and cloud stencil and sentiment from my stash.

There are many images by our resident Artist, Wendy Burns, in the All Dressed Up Store .   There is also a month long challenge that starts on the 15th of each month and it can be found here .  Come join us!

A card For my Wonderful Granddaughter using an All Dressed Up Image--Challenge is ATG!

Welcome back to a brand new challenge. We had some fabulous entries last month, so check back on the 29th our winner and top three as chosen by our DT!
As always the theme for our Blog Challenge is -
Anything Goes
but you must use a All Dressed Up Image.
Not got any? There are some gorgeous freebies -} here.
But please respect the rules!
Or you can buy any of Wendy's fab images from the All Dressed Up store -} here.
Now what could be easier than that?
We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations.
I'm using 1 of a group of 4 fabulous images called Wear With Style2.  Each of them is amazing and great for those teenager girls!  Isn't the plaid so neat?  I cut the front flap down to 1/3rd  and used an embossed bubble handmade paper in a terrific Raspberry color.  The I placed my image on top and used a similar background to match the embossed paper--I got my favorite plaid paper in pink & green and used it on the inside of the card.  An oval die cut was a great spot for a KKS sentiment!  And I placed a white die cut for writing next to it.  I topped it off with some dimensional embellishments and she's ready to mail !

We do hope you will find the time to play along - You have until the evening of the 14th to enter your creations using the link below. And don't forget there will be more amazing examples from the DT using this months new releases back here on the 22nd.
And don't forget the challenge on our Facebook Page starting on the 1st of each month running throughout the complete month with a theme. This month the theme is Monochromatic - why not play along for the chance to win even more gorgeous All Dressed Up images? And don't forget to visit our Etsy Store to see all of Wendy's fabulous images.

We can't wait to see what you all make!
See you again soon

Happy Birthday Card used for All Dressed Up June NEW RELEASE! More Gorgeous Images!

It is again time to see what new beauties Wendy from All Dressed Up has created for us, and you won't be disappointed.  These new images are just perfect for the Summer and Father's Day!
They are now available in the Etsy Store -}here

For My New Release, I'm using the image called New Hair Do. Her clean lines are just beautiful and allows you to use a busier design paper or additional embellishments...or both!  After coloring her with copics on a die cut oval, I added assorted pink flowers over top a beaded ribbon.  Am so excited to finally be able to use this ribbon-card HAD to be pink and black!  They dangle!  On the inside, another p&b paper with a stamped image.  Just love how she came together!

Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion! This week we feature Little Blue Buttons!

What a fun time I had coloring up this little cutie from Little Blue Buttons called Miss Lilly on a Bike.  This is for our Anything Goes Challenge at Craft Your Passion.
I took a 6.25" square card blank and "chopped" out a part of the front-I wanted the picket fence to stand out in the design.  Covered the front with a spring-like yellow floral paper and mounted the image.  I love the combination of blues and yellows!!  Stuck down 2 sections of fence die cuts, mounted some small Gypsophila flowers from Wild Orchard, and stamped it for a friendship card.  I used some yellow embossed cardstock for the whole back panel and stamped an additional sentiment on the inside.  I can never get enough friendship cards made to send off!  Thanks for looking and we hope to see your creation on the website!

Guest DT on Julia Spiri Challenge #118--Unusual Hair!

I am so thrilled to be asked to be the Guest Designer for Challenge #118 at Julia Spiri Stamps for the month of May!!  The theme of this challenge is "Unusual Hair" and that's always a leap out of my comfort zone lol!

I chose to go with yellows, oranges and reds thinking along the "summertime" theme of the card.  I am using the image called "Girl on a Swing" and adore it so much-especially the curly eyelashes (one of Julia's trademarks).  I mounted the finished copic colored image on top of a sunny yellow gloss embossed (flowers) cardstock and then used a green summer meadow design paper for an additional mat.  Felt like she was swinging up in the clouds with the cloud paper! Topped the Birthday card off with a soft flower from Petal Lu and a "Hello" chipboard tag.  The inside liner again has the embossed paper from the front mat and a stamped sentiment inside.
I hope you will start working on YOUR entry right away and enter it in Julia's Challenge!  And while you're at it, explore her Stamp store here to see so many more unique images.  You will fall in love with them!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Crafting When We Can Challenge using Stamps by Julia Spiri--Come join in the FUN!!

What a long journey back to finally posting on my Blog.  At the end of March, I had a total knee replacement on my right leg and have spent almost 6 weeks trying to recover.  I never thought it would effect my stamina and concentration as much as it did but, just trying to coloring images and then assemble everything took a lot out of me.  I'm coming back slowly but surely....I really missed being creative.
So, for this first of hopefully more to come DT posts, I give you my creation for the great group called Crafting When We Can and they are being sponsored by Stamps by Julia Spiri  I LOVE her images!!  This one is called Girl with Cat--she has SO many other equally inspiring designs as well.  Our challenge at CWWC was to add some additional flowers-one of my fav embellies.  I turned this into a Thank you Card, goodness knows that I need several of those to send to others!
Gals this is a great site to enter your wonderful creations~ where it's not just the luck of the random draw for the winner and Top 3 but, someone that is really looking the works of Art and appreciating them!  I can't wait to see your entries (max of 2) on the challenge and that you will want to come back again and enter more!

Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion-Sponsored by Stitchy Bear!

This week, as we start to approach the Christmas Season, we at Craft Your Passion (where it is Always Anything Goes) are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.  There are so many pre-colored images to choose from as well as B&W.  I picked this adorable image called Little Siannie Christmas Colour Stamp.  During this hectic time of year, it really can help put a card together for that special person when you already have a colored image or scene.
I used some digital papers for the layers, even using one of the papers re-sized so that it looks like a ribbon.  Placed the png image on the papers, and then separately printed a sentiment out, matted it and added a white/snow covered evergreen die cut.
Please join us in the challenge and show your festive spirit!  Stitchy Bear is offering  a choice of 3 digi stamps from store up to the value of $10 to the winner.  Great way to expand your digi library!

Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion--This week's Sponsor, Di's Digi Stamps

We know everyone likes those Anything Goes Challenges- ATG -so we aim to please!  EVERY Challenge at Craft Your Passion is ATG and this bi-monthly's challenge is sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps.  Their prize to the winner is a $10 Store Voucher -how neat is that!!
We were allowed to use any image that we wanted this week so expect to see some amazing creations from the DT and join in with us at our Challenge Site.

For this card, I'm combining several digital images from several sources-I love the versatility of layering png's.  AND it's a Bobble Card -LOL No, the image shown is not out of focus, I just wanted you to see the action!  The background digital paper, the "frame" and the the 2 swirl items at the top are all pre-colored from Doodle Pantry , where I was recently a DT member.  Laurie gives you such rich colored images and these are in my favorite colors!  Then from my DT term with Fred, she Said, I used one of the many different colored little girls and sentiment from "I Love you This much!".  These also are pre-colored and well shaded.  I just fancy cut this one and placed a spring on her back.  I just love Tracey's Coloring on her images.
So show us your creation and let us see your talent!  We get such great ideas from our Followers!

Art by Miran Sponsors Southern Girls Challenge=Shine Like the STAR you are!

I'm SO pleased to finally get to use an image from
Art by Miran-one of my All Time Wishes!!  This one is called Florina and I love images that go off the page like this one. **sigh** Was such fun to color!  It was so cool that they were sponsoring Southern Girls Challenge these 2 weeks with a Theme of STAR(s).  I KNOW you're looking for it!!  Well, just over the round tag, you will see one of my charms in the shape of a STAR-in fact, it says Movie Star on it!  I used a 5.75 x 5.75" square card blank from The Paper Cut.  This is a great site to get pre-scored card blanks in all kinds of assorted cuts -even swing card blanks!  There blanks have a great weight to them and are so smooth to the touch.  Of course, envelopes to match!  Then a purple mat with a striped design paper on top.  The alternate patterned paper is roughed around the edges with a Tim Holtz distress tool and then I penned the stitch lines on it.  The ribbon is threaded through a top slot in the crease and wrapped to the inside.  The sentiment is just one I had from my stash.  I'm so glad you stopped by and took a look!  Come and join us in our challenge!

Some Valentines coming your way from Doodle Pantry

After recovering from the "sickies" this week, I feel like I'm back in the game!  I wanted to make sure I shared some adorable Valentine's Day cards with you from Doodle Pantry before the big day!
This one is called Little Girl Valentine and has so many adorable components to it.  I fancy cut the frilly girl coveralls because I wanted to create an unusual opening.  Using a card blank, I covered it with sweet heart paper.  Then adhered the outfit to the front and trimmed away.  The inside of the card I covered with some great b&w design paper from another set of Laurie's, attached a sentiment from the Valentine set and mounted a double felt heart to the corner.

It's SQUARE CARD Challenge on Squigglefly this week! Great Graduation Card!

This stunning image by Veteran Squigglefly Artist, Lynne Stansbery is perfect for several types of cards.  It works well with the theme of this weeks' challenge- A Square Card.
When I colored this image, it made me think of life's journeys that could have all started with the first attempt of tying your shoe when you were growing up.  (Like you started out with just the basics and look at you now getting a diploma!).  I colored this quite a while back and was just waiting for the perfect card to use it on!  The set comes with a couple of sentiments so the variety is great!
We have some new artists that have joined us-James Horvath, Sandy Caldwell, Niina Niskansen just to name a few of the recent ones.  Please come to the shop and check out all the interesting digitals they are selling at reasonable prices!  We'd love to see you there~
