Featuring Stay at Home image from All Dressed Up-New Release Day!

Awww, Home Sweet Home....It's got a whole new meaning to us as a Nation, doesn't it?  Here in my State, we are still being asked to shelter in place and it definitely is getting a little old.
But like this sweet image, I love to read and my animals are always around.  So between that and working out in our rural garden, we are passing the time in a productive manner.
This Image called Time to Read can be found here in the All Dressed Up shop.  It's one of the new releases that we are revealing today from artist Wendy Burns.  This image includes the chair, reader, cat and dog.  I say this because I got a little creative and decided to do some paper piecing and using some other png images, I colored and fancy cut them and incorporated them into the "scene".  The rug, plant and framed picture on the wall all came from purchased scene builders from TGF.  The wallpaper is some complimentary paper and then I added a baseboard, moved the pieces around and created something that we can all relate to!
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment that works well with the setting.  This was a lot of fun to create-I'm hoping that you'll try it sometime with Wendy's images.  They come to you in a png format so you're able to move them around in your printing program and bring them forward and put them behind to create depth.  Let us see YOUR creations now!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Hello and welcome to our new challenge here at All Dressed Up.

Anything Goes

But please respect the rules!
You can buy any of Wendy's amazing images from the All Dressed Up store -} here.
Now what could be easier than that?
We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations. These will be announced on the 29th.

I'm using the image called "Tra La La" and it's so perfect for Christmas cards!!  Doesn't Wendy, our resident artist, make the neatest knit scarves (mittens too)-they look so realistic!  I added some White chunky Frantage and some white pearl liquid pearls when my heat gun got overheated!!  A sparkly ribbon down the side- and on the inside, design paper, a sentiment cut-out and some snowflake stickers finish off the card.  Come over and take part in our Challenge-we'd love to see your beautiful projects!

Birthday Boy Card at the Crafting When We Can Challenge

Working on something different for Crafting When We Can this week, a Birthday Card for a young tyke!  It gave me a chance to use some great pre-colored images from Doodle Pantry from a group called Toy Truck Ants.  BECAUSE, the theme is animals....I may be stretching it with Ants but I will try to make it work!  The great thing about her sets is not only do you get images but also accent solids and patterned papers.  And because they are pngs, you can digitally alter them and layer them on your base.
The sentiment in the set I matted it with the yellow solid included.  Created a "ribbon" of yellow by narrowing down the sides.  I used the brown patterned paper to create a "dirt road" at the bottom of the card.  For the inside of the card, I matted yet another sentiment with the blue solid "paper" and layed that over this great toy truck overloaded design paper!  This is the beauty of digital sets and Doodle Pantry has produced many sets in their history.  At Crafting When We Can, they like to showcase many different methods and styles so we get to have lots of fun!  Come join in our Challenge with your favorite animal card!

We've gone *WILD* at Lacy Sunshine Stamps-Join our Anything Goes Challenge

This week at Lacy Sunshine Stamps, Team A is going **WILD** and venturing into the Animal Kingdom!!  One of my favorite creatures is the tall, graceful Giraffe. Such a beautiful animal with such a adorable face and that Crazy Long Black Tongue--eeks!  Well Heather Valentin created some cute "animals" and this one is called Giraffe Boo and can be found in her shop in a set.
For this card I added my Copic colored cutie to some unique papers-a giraffe "paper" that actually is printed on some type of open fiber material.  Then there is the woven handmade Grass/jungle like paper that is very heavily textured medium.   I found some interlocking banner/chevron cardstock stickers in my stash and it matched so perfectly!  I fancy-cut the bottom edge of my image so it looked like she was overhanging the dividing edge of the card.  I used some speckled antique-like paper-this could even look a little like skin!  Come join us in our latest bi-weekly challenge-we'd love to see your creations!

Squigglefly New Releases are Here!!! Come join our Challenge-USE SCRAPS!

This weekend is the official launch for new artists and their fantastic digital designs at Squigglefly!  Tam Hess provided the one I'm working with today, Fred-Miss You, and he comes with a couple of sentiments also.
The theme this week is to USE SCRAPS!!  We all have those don't we!  While the tiger patterned paper isn't a scrap, the black was-I chose to cut it into strips to use like ribbons!  And then I used the small scrap of orange cardstock as a mat for Fred's sentiment.  Inside there's a scrap of brown kraft paper that I stamped with colorbox chalk ink using one of my stash stamps!  I think this will be perfect for one of my Grandkids in NJ!
Be sure to check out the Squigglefly Shop and all the new creations from all those talented artists!  We have so many unique digis offered there and if you enter the challenge this week, you could win a FREE digital from the shop!

Doodle Pantry Fun Sponsors Creative Knockouts-Furry or Feathery Friends!

This weekly challenge from Creative Knockouts is being sponsored by Doodle Pantry and what fun it is!  One lucky person will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Doodle Pantry store!  How lucky is that!!  There are so many great sets available to choose from! Now that Spring is finally here you start thinking of all the bunnies and birds that the season brings!  Here's the perfect challenge for you!
For my entry, I'm using an April release set from DP called Jiggles-you can see from the insert all the interesting papers, images (colored & B/W), and sentiments.  I decided since he's so tall that I'd use this new Slider Die cut Card Blank from The Paper Cut so it would POP him up like a peek-a-boo.  This card blank will be in their store very soon.  On the slider front, I used 2 of  the different papers & a sentiment from the kit. Additional papers & sentiments are exposed as the slider pulls up the image of Jiggles.  So that you can get an idea of size, this card would fit closed into an A2 envelope. Also I'm showing you a sideways view so that you can see the mountain fold.  What doesn't pick up in the photo is the metallic like shimmer of the yellow card-it's stunning.
So I hope you find time to join us all the Creative Knockouts and get a chance to win the DP prize-  The library is FULL of gorgeous images just waiting for you!  Thanks for visiting and come back often~

Scary ANIMAL Birthday card for HAMBO Challenge

Back when I was a "Bacon Bit" on the Hambo site, I collected several cute images and stamps.  In the spirit of the new year, I'm trying to expand the challenges that I enter my cards in and so for their 2 week challenge, you're to use one of their many ANIMAL images.
I've always liked this one called Monster Yell -he always gave me a chuckle and came with 3 different choices of sentiments.  For some reason the large washer eyelets colors are a bit off and wouldn't adjust but you can get the basic idea of matching colors to the papers used.
The 2 winners each get a free digital image so jump right in there!  Their Valentine Pig is hilarious and very versatile to use with Valentine's Day around the corner!  Thanks for looking!
