New Sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy-Robyn's Fetish is the sponsor!

We got some cute images from this great site, Robyn's Fetish to use on this week's sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy.  Mine is a Strawberry cluster and it really makes me think that some warm days are ahead.  I can just picture the juicy strawberry juice dribbling down my chin....well it's 40 degrees here tonight so let me have my dream right?
The cluster of flowers features a punched layered paper flowers-pierced in the center with a brad, moistened and scrunched up into a dimensional flower.  The other flower is actually a prima stacked flower that is sitting on top of a cloth "spoolie" or "yo-yo" they used to be called. Then I filled in with tan, green, and cream branch punchies from a friend.  I gave this to my daughter for her recent Birthday and she just loved it!
Come and play along with our 2 week challenge-Robyn is giving away 3 digital images to the winner and you can enter more than once.  We'd love for you to visit!

Aurora Wings is a Wonderful match for Seems a Little Sketchy!

The Fantasy Art that is Aurora Wings has partnered with Seems a Little Sketchy on this week's 2 week challenge.  They have been so generous to the Winner of the contest by offering a $15 gift certificate as a Prize!

I love the large beautiful eyes that she has in some of her images and the whimsical subjects.  The image that I chose is called Forget me Not and is so Springlike.

You can see here the sketch from SALS that we used on our Art pieces.  I love making layered cards and, while my image is a little larger, I wanted it to be the focus on the card.  I used copics for all the coloring, rayon seam binding for the bow (I distressed the binding with walnut ink and wadded it up and let it dry all creased), and 2 stick pins that I had in my stash.  And here is the finished card:

Welcome! The Paper Nest joins Seems a Little Sketchy Challenge

This image that I used for my card is called 3rd Birthday from The Paper Nest.  Whether it is a rubber stamp or digital, they have images that are original , hand drawn, and inspired by their own kids-a great site to find such cute items to use on your creations.  At Seems a Little Sketchy, we are so pleased that they are offering a $25 gift certificate to the winner of our 2 week contest!
You will see the Sketch that we are using this time around.

I chose to drop the circle back behind the rectangle so that I could feature the Birthday Girl!  I used copics for the coloring and added some Sugar Coating/lily white glitter by Doodlebug design for the icing on the cake.  Sure gives the icing some sparkle!!   I did a fancy cut around the background of the image and inserted some design paper behind her-like a wallpaper.  Added some bling flowers and off it goes to a special little girl!

LACY SUNSHINE sponsors Seems a Little Sketchy-Great Site!

Lacy Sunshine is a new sponsor for us at SALS and we are Thrilled to have them!  They will be giving 3 free images to the winner of this 2 week challenge-wow!!
I had such fun with this sketch from Seems a Little Sketchy-I rotated it because, as usual, I made a digital image that was a little larger than I needed. SO, "when you're given lemons, make lemonade"!  This sketch made me feel like the rectangle was not an image-BUT A HOLE.  So using that premiss, I used a die to open the front flap of my card so that I could put my image, Eleanor/Pickles The Stashes, peeking out from the inside. My grandson LOVES mustaches so I'm always looking for images like this!  I just love all the details that this image has and it works so well with the awesome paper I found in my STASH(e)!
Love how the card turned out and if you do also, please come and join in the sketch challenge yourself!  We now are previewing the sketches in Tabs at the top of our home page so that, if you like to work ahead, you'll be able to do so!  You still won't be able to post it before the scheduled challenge, but you will sure be ready!  Come out an play and build up your library of images!

Kenny K is sponsoring the challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy!

For the next 2 weeks, the Sketch 58 challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy  looks like this:
You could do so many things with this layout!  Our sponsor is Kenny K, offering 3 digital images to the winner.
As you can see, I found the perfect Athletic based paper to use with the accents in burgundy, blues and yellows.  Since it was such a masculine card, I elected not to use a bow but a star and button instead.  Hope you like it and come play with us!!

Robyn's Fetish Sponsoring Seems a Little Sketchy-5 Digi images free

This week at Seems a Little Sketchy we are featuring images from Robyns Fetish Digital Stamps and I chose this adorable Snowman!  Although I am SOOO sick of snow this January, he was too cute to pass up.  This is the sketch we used for the challenge but I did turn the image so that it fit my over-sized character better.
I used a 6x6 dotted swiss Bazzill cardstock for my base, then for the mats on my snow flurry paper and the Big Guy, I used wonderful metallic cardstocks by The Paper Cut-the colors are Ice Silver and Blue Mirricard, a gorgeous deep toned blue shiny metallic.  While I used these as shimmery accents and you can only see a slip of them, I can't wait to show them off more in the future.  The snowy diecut is called Frostyville by Memory Box, one of favorites.  Thanks for joining in on the Fun Challenge that will run for 2 weeks-plenty of time to get your project done.  Robyn is offering 5 digi images to the winner!

New Sketch Challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy

Scribbles Designs is the newest sponsor at Seems a Little Sketchy for this 2 week Challenge. They are generous enough to offer the winner a choice of 3 designs from their website.
This time around, I chose the Flamingo and used it as a Thank You card-I'm always needing those!  This was a great chance to use this fabulous paper that I got from The Paper Studio.  It has the feel of a handmade paper by the thickness and texture and this wonderful tie dyed look reminds me of the water where you would find a flock of Flamingos!  Using the sketch from SALS, it makes it simpler to get your items placed on the card or layout with having to over think it!
To those that are visiting my site, I will apologize for the random links that infiltrated my blog-I haven't quite figured out yet what is going on with it and hopefully will get some techs to figure this out real soon.  It took quite a while to even GET to post this entry for my DT.  Thank you for taking time to check it out!

Whoopsi Daisy Snowgirls breeze into Seems a Little Sketchy!

In the Midwest, we are getting such cold and windy weather.  Guess winter is truly coming~NOT my favorite type of weather.  Especially while I'm lugging around a boot cast on my foot.
This week at Seems a Little Sketchy, we have a great layout to use! And I'm sure you've noticed that I've taken a few liberties with it.. It was kind-of the TriFecta of crafts all coming together.  First, Whoopsi Daisy provided so adorable winter digis of these cute Snowgirls.  Second, the interesting layout was provided.  THEN, I had access to some great pre-scored cards from The Paper Cut that followed, in general, the layout guidelines-this card blank is called the Triple Circle Swinging Z-Fold Card and comes in several colors and is easy to bend and shape into a great card.  You could put any accents on the circles!  I fancy cut the image-with digitals you can make them any size to fit any space!  Added my snowflake stickers and then a perfect stamp.  Thanks for looking!

It's a spooky month at Seems a Little Sketchy using Crafty Sentiments Designs!

This time I colored up a cute image for our latest challenge at SALS (Seems a Little Sketchy) --She's called Anabelle and she's from Crafty Sentiments Designs!
I probably should have make the image a little smaller but she's so intricate that I didn't want to miss any of the details!  Lots of Design papers with the Halloween flare make this so much fun!  I used Black Stickles on her bows and had fun putting purple stickle polka dots on her black boots~ Check out Crafty Sentiments for some adorable images-they are so much fun!

Sketch #47 on Seems a Little Sketchy-an Apple a Day!

We are so lucky on Seems A Little Sketchy to be able to use these great digis from Robyn's Fetish-this one is such a perfect Fall scene!  A lush basket of Apples~~ummm I can just taste the crisp crunch of the Apple!

I love the fact that you get such interesting sketches from SALS to use every 2 weeks-this challenge has as a prize, a $10 certificate from The Robin's Nest and 3 digital images from Robyn's Fetish.  WELL worth your effort to enter the challenge!
The card I made is 6x6 using double sided dp from Bella Blvd called Thankful-love these papers from BB. (The green floral is the reverse).  The Apple paper and brown CS are from my stash as is the sentiment heavy cardstock accent sticker.  I used copics to color my image.
Imagine there are many families heralding in the Fall with the kids going back to school now or soon~hopefully, here in Illinois, there was enough rain during the spring and summer that we'll get some beautiful Fall foliage soon.  I hope that you will have that beauty also.  Happy Fall Y'all!

Squigglefly Sponsors our Seems a Little Sketchy Challenge

Well my world is all in alignment now!  Squigglefly is sponsoring the bi-monthly challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy AND I'm on the Squigglefly Design Team!
This sketch is our template to create with and it was so easy to use this layout! Sometimes sketches have so many  layers that it's hard to get it all on your card!  But not with this one.  This image is called You Better Not Pout by Cheryl Alger and can be found, along with many other great digital images, in the Squigglefly Shop.  I used a Spellbinder Renaissance die to create a great frame around this cute image.  A red glittered card stock snowflake as the circle.  There's a "ribbon" of gold geometric border by Paper Studio.  Then 2 gold snowflake accents at the top corners.
Come play with us at SALS and get a chance to win 3 images from Squigglefly!

Thank you DELICIOUS DOODLES For sponsoring Sketch #45 at Seems A Little Sketchy

I'm so excited to try a technique that I was seeing on Pinterest and several Scrapbooking Blogs for my Challenge #45 at Seems A Little Sketchy .  It's the process of leaving your B&W image in that format EXCEPT for a specific area that you draw attention to by coloring just that area.  This week, I had the option to use this great Boat scene and it worked perfectly with the circle!  I used my smaller circle die as a pattern around the image, penciling it in so I wouldn't color outside of the line.  It surely highlights the featured spot!  I just love this drawing from Delicious Doodles -they are just a generous sponsor for us at SALS!
I added some great water paper, a blue mat trim around the circle/image, some beige (frothy waves?) paper lace from my stash, light denim paper for the sky and a great red nautical fishtail banner with silver stars as a top accent.  Hope you enjoy and come play with us for the next two weeks.  DD has some great prizes for the winner!

Bugaboo challenge on Seems a Little Sketchy-Christmas for Me!

It's Christmas in July for me this week!  At Seems a Little Sketchy, I chose the digital image from Bugaboo Stamps called Christmas Sheep.  I adore this image and had a blast coloring them with copics and Stickles.

The great thing about our terrific sponsor this go around is that the winner of the Challenge will win 7 images of their choice!!!  WOW!

We always use a Sketch to follow and this one works so well with whatever size base you use!  With my card I found a glittered snowflake patterned paper, lime green velvet, some flourishes, felt Christmas tree and a iridescent chipboard snowflake accent.  The sentiment is from a SU set that I had in my stash.
