Hang In There

I'm sure your home is affected, as is mine, with this Covid 19 virus that is spreading across our wonderful Country.  At the digital stamp company All Dressed Up, our artist in residence, Wendy Burns, decided to give us some uplifting images to work with for the New Release this month.  I think we all needed them!
The image I used is call "Hang in There" and can be found in the ADU Shop.  Cute little elephant floating away into the clouds, leaving all his cares behind him.  I added some cloud die cuts for dimension and added a sheer white ribbon.
On the inside, I used a
design paper with lots of birds on it--thinking
he surely is going to meet up with birds on his
journey .  I used a sentiment straight from one of my 6x6 paper pads from Carta Bella-love them!

Please check out all the other new releases on our home page-they are inspiring for sure!  We have a new Challenge that starts on the 15th and we'd love to see your creations!  You could possibly win some images from the Shop.  If you would like to see more of the projects that I create, I would be thrilled if you would follow my Blog!

Using "Welcome Baby" image for the April Challenge at Paper Nest Dolls!

Well after a brief hiatus, I'm able to return to Paper Nest Dolls for the April Challenge, which we have every month on the 3rd.  So excited to be using one of the new March Releases called Welcome Baby.  It seems people are always wanting baby cards and I never have enough.  So it was a great chance to start building these up with these cute animals.
After coloring with Copics, I kept the background white-sort of Fresh looking!  Put brown, gray, blue and yellow epoxy dots as accents.  This mini dot design paper already had the heart edge so I used it as an accent also.  There's a brown & white check as a mat for the image-I decided to give them a gray paver street to walk on.  On the inside, I used a boyish style print that I thought match really well and stamped it with a sentiment from my stash.
I hope you will join us at the Challenge-we'd love to see your creations!

pPinky is Sponsoring us over at Come and Get It Challenges! Always ATG!

What an adorable image I'm using this week at Come And Get It Challenge!  She's called Candy Circus Lily by pPinky Doll  Art and the theme this week is "Happy Birthday" .  These images are so easy to color-much of the shading is already in the image!
She was actually (I think) sitting on this branch and I originally had the blue sky come down to her toes.  I decided to cut a curve into the bottom edge "dangling" her toes.  When I matched up the rusty red design paper to her dress, I extended it past the curve and now it makes it look like hilly ground!  Used the distressed dotty paper to match her neutral hat and pinafore.  I used a KKS sentiment stamp for a Birthday stamp both on the inside and outside.  It's such an adorable image that it doesn't need any additional embellishments!  Please come over to Come and Get It to show us your project and have a chance at some prizes!  Not very many Challenge Sites that give away prizes anymore so come check us out!

Anything Goes Challenge over at All Dressed Up!--WINS TOP 3!!!

I've had so much fun playing with this image called Amore from All Dressed Up!  The set is awesome as it gives you the Girl alone, w/ balloons and the balloons alone!  This is placed on a 6" square card, she's got a b&w mini dot mat, then red and finally a black mat.  I placed a strip of paper lace along 1 side to balance the red sheer ribbon and cluster of felt rolled roses, deep red paper roses and an impressive glittered pink curled rose.  I added some white spiral stamens for some height and fun!  The luscious background paper has love sentiments written all over it! On the inside, of course it wouldn't be about love without some red rose paper and I added a die cut with a sentiment attached-lots of room for writing those love notes
I'd like to share this on this challenge:

Scrapper's Delights~Anything Goes~Through the Purple Haze=GREAT CHALLENGE This week!!!

I'm so DELIGHTED to be showcasing my third Team entry for the DT at Through the Purple Haze.  They have awesome sponsors and this week it is "Anything Goes" and you know how we ALL love that!  They are being sponsored by Scrapper's Delights and I'm using one of their FREEBIES!  See what you could be using??
I admit this is a step out of my Comfort Zone because I've never tried this wild hair coloring that's all the rave right now!  BUT, I've decided I think it's a lot of fun!  I was inspired by the sample they showed at Scrapper's Delights.  To give her a "base", I added some great grass paper from my stash as well as some "cloud" paper.  It's my fav!  I used foam dots under the image for dimension-I knew that the balloon strings would get lost in my "fancy cut" on the image so I used blur & white baker's twine, tied around the end and looped back through the backside of the image.  The inside has 2 panels of coordinating blue & rose strips with a sentiment for Birthday's.  The circle sentiment is from the internet and is such fun-I love swirly font!
I'd Love to enter this in the Following Challenges:

Sweet n Sassy Stamps Sponsors our Challenge #42- It's a Circus under the Big Top!

At Seems a Little Sketchy, we've enjoyed playing with some whimsical images this week on our bi-weekly challenge~ a Circus Tent, A Clown with Balloons and a Seal balancing a ball on his nose, all from Sweet n Sassy Stamps!.  All Adorable!  I always seem to have a hard time fitting so much on my cards (I KNOW it's hard to believe!) so I settled for the group you see on the right.  I've had this yellow stripe and chevron green paper for a while and couldn't wait to use it on this!  Lots of coloring and layers but thought it turned out really cute.

Inky Impressions sponsors the Southern Girls Challenge~Punches or Die cuts!

One would think that a simple option on a challenge like "use a die cut or PUNCH in your creation" would make it very simple for me..NOT, a case of too many choices and options!!!  At Southern Girls Challenge, come join us for our 2 week challenge and get a chance to win some wonderful prizes!
Our sponsor this week is Inky Impressions and I just love this digital stamp called Birthday Lili.  The image is very detailed and with very clean lines so inking it up was a lot of fun!  They have a lot of fun options in their store so check it out!
I finally opted to use some cardstock punches I bought WAY back when I first got started in Scrapbooking on my card and "attached" them to her hand with embroidery floss.  For a little girly feel to the design, I used a Martha Stewart lacy Scalloped edger along the butterflies.  The stamp and papers are from my scraping stash.
We hope you decide to join us in the challenge~you can use any image and layout, just follow the theme!  See you there~Carolyn
