Sleding at Christmastime at All Dressed Up Stamps

It's our last Challenge of 2023 at All Dressed Up Stamps and this is the card I made in anticipation of that, using the image "Sledging Fun".  (We say Sleding, the British say Sledging) Whichever way you say it, it means FUN!.  Coloring her and her deer in Christmas Colors, I used the curve of the snowbank behind her to add some paper-piecing.

Using some paper from The Paper Studio with snowflakes, I die cut each piece and then aligned them up-I love the effect!

The sentiment is from my stash.  As a finishing touch. I flecked white acrylic paint over the card using my fan brush.

The Design Team will be taking the month of January off  for a break but can't wait to see you again in February for more fun and new images!

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

New Release time at All Dressed Up Stamps-using Christmas Theme

It won't be long before Christmas is right around the corner!  Oh My!  Thank goodness for All Dressed Up Stamps and their digital images such as the one I used for this card.  I'm using "Sledging Time", a cute little boy and his dogs pulling his sled.
I used multiple copic markers for their coloring and a water-based white Sharpie marker for the snow.  Matted with a cranberry curvy mat, red berry branched background paper and stamped with a winter sentiment.

I always like to finish the inside of my cards so on this one I used the same cranberry background and used one of sentiment "postcard" size that are so popular now~ you know there are usually 6/8 or more on a 12 x 12 textured paper.  I accented it with 2 wooden trees.  All it needs is your personal note and it's ready.

Hope you have a chance to see all the new releases and come and create with us at All Dressed Up Stamps!

Join us and Bugaboo Stamps at Come And Get It Challenge! The Theme is WINTER SPORTS!

It's time for our WINTER SPORTS theme over at the Come and Get It Challenge.  Think out of the Box:  Ice Skating, Snowman Building/Fights, Ice Carving, Sledding, Ice Hockey---your mind can think of so many things!  We'd love to see your creation AND it's being Sponsored by the well-known BUGABOO.  If you win, you can receive several of Burgaboo's digital stamps, your choice!
The image I picked today is called Winter Kidz with Puppy (they have an adorable group called KIDZ that I find myself drawn to often).  They are nice clean images with lots of room for shading and detail.  After coloring him up with Copics, I added some Chunky white embossing with Frantage, on the ground and for the snow flurry.  I also added a die cut of white pine boughs and mounted some white features behind the boughs-I think it gives the feel of snow drifting.  A wooden star finishes off the effect for the Season.  On the inside liner, I used some dp that picks up the purples, blues and grays and stamped it with a Christmas stamp from my stash.  Again, Come and join us this month and next at our Challenge!  We'd love to be inspired by YOU!

Come and Get It Challenge Blog is showing GET WELL cards! Sponsor is Time for Tea Designs--Wheee!

I had such FUN making this "action" card for Come And Get It Blog Challenge!  It's an image called "Sledding" by Time for Tea Designs and was such fun to color!
I used a beautiful heavy embossed cardstock with snowflakes everywhere for the bottom half on the card and a lightweight swirled specialty paper with silver embossed "swirly snowflakes"-at least in my mind.
I matted the image & sentiment with a shimmery purple cardstock from the Paper Cut.  I added dots of snow by using some white Liquid Pearls.  Then, the most fun I had was adding sprays of "snow" by using white feathers from the craft store.  It worked just perfectly!  Added some Aqua "goosebumps" in the corners for some faceted accents.  On the inside, I finished off with using the same papers as on the front (you can really see the embossing better) and a sentiment created on the computer.
If this doesn't make a person get out of a sick bed and get outside, I don't know what will!  We would love for you to come over to our 1 week Challenge and show us your creation!  The winner will get 3 images!
