Sweet Valentine using Sherri Baldy's Img 5281

It's that Special time of year when our thoughts
turn to our loved ones and those that are near and dear to our hearts.  Love comes in may forms and I like to express my feelings to family with my cards.
Sherri Baldy makes it so easy to choose one of her digital images to use but, it also is a curse!!  Because there are so MANY to pick from in her Bestie Shop.  This cutie is Img 5281 from the Sweet Lil' Things collection.  Just makes me feel like Spring is right around the corner!  I used the same beige distressed polka dot paper on the angled corner as in the inside of the card.  Metal butterfly has a Baker's Twine bow on the top.  There's an Echo Park sentiment block on the inside greeting.
Be sure and check out The Besties Shop for Your Valentine image-she has so many!

Wintery mix for January using Sherri Baldy's Nutcracker Img 5284

Well in Illinois, there were Winter Storm warnings out for this weekend and I must say, I was kind-of rubbing my hands together--a chance to get house-bound with lots of Sherri Baldy's images to color and play with!
Because I was feeling a little "Snowy"  I colored up one of Sherri's "Nutcracker" images:  this ones is Img 5284, Nutcracker the Gift.  I ALWAYS love her wintery scenes!
With the vintage coloring, pink and cream are one of my favorites!  I used a white Nuvo for the pearl dot effect-really like the control of it and will get more! An accent of metallic gold for the Crown and Chunky White Frantage for the snow.  Mixed some sweater paper with some foil paper for some triple layers and a trim piece with sentiments.
On the inside, I repeated the Blank textured paper with pale pink snowflakes and used a matching sentiment and pink foil tree to complete the card.
I hope you like my effort.  It has been a long way back for me from 2018 to now and with Sherri's help furnishing such beautiful creations, I'll be off to a good start!  Thanks for visiting!

Have a wonderful Holiday...I'm starting to think of Christmas with Sherri Baldy!

Hope you all are enjoying Thanksgiving today!  If you are from a country that doesn't celebrate this Holiday, find reasons to be thankful for the joy of life.

This is usually my internal "switch" to be thinking ahead for Christmas and all the magic that it brings.  One of my favorite collections of Sherri Baldy's are her Christmas images.  I see so much joy in the adorable characters with the squished up eyes and chubby cheeks-love to color them!  This one is called Night Before Christmas.
Because I thought it had been printed slightly off kilter, I fancy cut the image.  But at least I was able then to create a scene with flooring and wallpaper--can you imagine living in a home with this wild plaid on the walls?  I also added a hanging sign on the wall using a chipboard sentiment and I made a wooden planter with a poinsettia plant in it to fill the space.  Love how it turned out and hope that you will go exploring Sherri's shop with soooo many images in it.  If you need some help in the shop, you can always use my discount code CAROLYN20 to get 20% off your total purchase.  What a deal!  Thanks for visiting and come back real soon!

It's Fun Halloween using Sherri Baldy's Image 620- Bahahahahaha

Hello Besties!
Sharing with you a cutie Halloween card using Img 620.
I used some Batty paper on top of the black card blank, angled
some orange polkadot paper--accented that with a silver spider
web dangling from the corner.  The image is colored with
Copics, using Diamond Dust Stickles in the Moon Craters, and
on the stars and dots on her outfit!
I enjoy using Sherri's images for Halloween because I don't
go in for the reallllll spooky characters you see around-
These are fun ones!
Hope you like and visit again!

Falling Leaves using a Sherri Baldy image called Leaf Bestie Girl

What a great image for Thanksgiving, Fall gatherings, or just to celebrate cooler weather!!  She's called Leaf Bestie Girl and be found at the Bestie Shop by using the Link.  I colored her with Copics and had just a fun time blending multiple colors to get the Fall leaves just right.  My favorites are the burgundy ones! I was lucky to have several reverse papers that all seemed to blend well with each other so have lots of patterns on this card.  On the inside, I continued the polka dotted patterned paper with a dimensional embellishment.  There's one on the card front also.  I'm so happy to be a Bestie Girl on several of Sherri's Design Teams-what great images we get to use!!  Hope you like her!

It's always Christmas time at All Dressed Up!

Another Christmas Card from the wonderful digital world of Wendy Burns, resident artist at All Dressed Up.  I love this image called Christmas Penguins, and they come with the sentiment.  I had fun putting these layers together to make my card!  First covered the card in a nighttime snowy sky paper-wrapped a candy cane grosgrain ribbon across the middle.  Then I cut a wavy white cardstock paper, put down ribbon glue on it and covered the curves with Sugar Coating lily white glitter by Doodlebug.  Really sparkles.  I fancy cut the bottom part of the images and placed them on the wavy paper like they were walking across the snow.  On the inside, I used a section of the snowflake paper that had Santa's sleigh on it, using a die cut stamped a sentiment on it.  To cover up a little black smudge, I used 2 silver corner stickers on either side and loved the effect.  Come on over to the ADU Challenge where it's always Anything goes with an ADU image--there's even freebies available!  We want to be inspired by you!

Ellie w/ Scarecrow from Paper Nest Dolls! Do you feel the Crispy Fall air?

I'm sharing with you Ellie w/ Scarecrow and it has really put me in the mood for these COOL mornings, on my way to work!  I love the combination of blue & brown so that's what I chose for Ellie-did the Scarecrow in
Complimentary Copic colors.  THEN, what a wonderful find when I pulled out some Fall paper I recently purchased to find a Perfect Match!! I edged the background in a colorbox Blue and Cat's Eye Chestnut Roan, extended the brown mat behind the image and used raffia** for the "ribbon". One of my other papers had these adorable pumpkins on it (see inside) so I cut them out and elevated the one in the front.
What Fun this was!!  You need this image for your collection!  ** My trick with the Raffia:  You know how "bundled Raffia" from craft stores always has kinks in it and is hard to get to lay flat?  My crafty daughter gave me this hint--buy a child's size HULA SKIRT from a Party store!  You can just hang it up by the waistband string near your craft area, it hangs straight, cut off from the waist or whatever length you want. ** Yea! no more kinks!
