Crafting When We Can is sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter this week--Spots &/or Stripes!

This week at Crafting When We Can, we have a great sponsor that I'm sure is no stranger to all of you-Sasayaki Glitter!  And the Theme for this challenge is Spots and/or Stripes.  That makes for a fun project!
The image I chose to use is Anita's Star and could be used for a number of cards-she's very versatile!  For mine, I made a Thinking of You card for a friend.  She is all colored with Copics and I'm really loving this angular look-an unusual touch for me.  The sentiment stamp is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  On the inside, I finished it off with the yellow chevron paper and another sentiment in the same Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps group.  I can't wait to send this on to her and speaking of that, We can't wait to see YOUR creation at the Challenge..  Come on over and join in the fun!
I'm entering this in the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog Challenge-Square cards

New release time at Sasayaki Glitter! I've got a Christmas card!

I'm on a roll with Christmas Cards 'cause it's coming up so quickly!!  The image that I'm working on is simply called Girl and Puppy from Sasayaki Glitter.  It's a great reminder that Sasayaki Glitter has a challenge currently running AND this is one of the new release images that she had available out there.
I used a 6x6 card blank and topped it with the festive country checked paper.  The image is colored with copics and I used White chunky Frantage embossed on the background for a snow effect.  I put an ivory paper lace piece along side of the matted image and added a "candy cane" grosgrain ribbon along the side.  On the inside, I used the reverse side of the same paper for a splash of color and a great sentiment for the Holidays.  Come see what other images you will be able to get at the Sasayaki Glitter Store!

The Theme is CHRISTMAS at Crafting When We Can, Sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter!

This cute image from Sasayaki Glitter is our featured image for this post from Crafting When We Can .  This talented designer is always so generous with her images and the compact design allowed me to make my first shaker card for a long while.  Our Theme for this challenge is "Christmas" and I'm sure that your craft room is as hectic as mine is-perfect time for getting your cards completed!
This image is called Snowman & Bird and is beautiful in it's simplicity.  Using a clear shaker form as a pattern I cut an opening in the front with my circle die, pushed through the shape, filled the cavity with clear bugle beads and seed beads and then mounted the image behind all that. I accented the card with the rich red plaid paper, sheer organza ribbon, paper poinsettia, and white pine die cuts.

On the inside liner I used a pattern paper that reminded me of snowballs and placed a cardstock print of JOY.  Please join us for a great Challenge at CWWC and hopefully you will win some free images as a prize!

Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion-Sasakayi Glitter is our sponsor!

This week at Craft Your Passion our theme is Always Anything Goes and SasaKayi Glitter is our kind sponsor.  One of her images that I like a lot is Winter Peggy!  You will see "Peggy" is several different settings-but this one is appropriate for this cold weather we've been having here in the Midwest.
I am using a digital colored background that I purchased from Make It Crafty-it's perfect for Peggy!  After coloring her with copics, I put mini pop-dots on the back to give it a little more dimension.  After matting the background with a festive red, all I had to add was some Bling
I used some flat winter white foliage that had tons of glitter on it and added touches of white and red feathers for that whimsical feel.  On the inside, I used a festive red/white snowflake paper with a great sentiment for the Holidays.  Let us see your beautiful work!  The winner will get a Sasakayi digital image of their choice!

New Release at Sasayaki Glitter of some great Images! Come check us out!

What a fun Fall image this was to color up for the New Release from Sasayaki Glitter!  The image if called Fall Peggy and she's so much fun!  Naz Smith the owner of SG always has unique images in her store-several with Peggy!  Not only does she have new releases but also challenges-check them out here.
I love the Fall season and I think I found the most gorgeous paper in my paper stash for the background of my card~ After coloring Fall Peggy, I double matted her (one of which was a burlap look).  I cut this wide burlap ribbon in half and shredded it, glued it on with Zip 2way and put a rust colored button accent at the side. The Fall Harvest sentiment is a cardstock sticker.  I always finish the inside and loved this fun pumpkin print done on a kraft background paper.  This sentiment is one I got from a swap party where we exchanged double-matted stamped images--Great way to use up scraps!  During slow times, I like to stamp and use up my scraps this way!
Come visit us at Sasayaki Glitter to see the new releases and get inspired to submit your own creations to our Challenges!  Can't wait to see them!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenge:

Celebrating Alyce Keegan's Upcoming Wedding- Sasayaki Glitter DT joining Kit & Clowder DT--Congrats!

We are here today in honor of Alyce Keegan's wedding this weekend and we ALL wanted to participate even though we are spread far and wide.  Alyce is the creator of the Design Site, Kit & Clowder.  I'm on the Inspiration Design Team for Sasayaki Glitter and the owner, Naz Smith, created an image called "Bride" that had this gorgeous Bride and 2 different Bridesmaids  (which I opted not to use this time).  Our theme was to use Black & White as our base but, we could add hints of a color here and there.
On the dress I used a coat of Sugar coatings by Doodlebug, lily white glitter.  On top of the silver foil striped paper, I added a row of chiffon roses w/ pearls with a row of heart shaped pearls on an open weave ribbon.  On the inside, I used a complimenting design paper in gray.
Even after 46 years of marriage to my high school sweetheart, I can still remember the excitement of the wedding day!  We wish you nothing but the best on your future with Jon and hope you  both have many years together in wedded bliss!  Congrats!!

Crafting When We Can is being sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter!

Love Love Love to shop so this adorable image from Sasayaki Glitter called Shopping Girl Meg is a perfect fit for me!  Following the sketch from Crafting When We Can,I was able to use the Purse paper I've had in my stash waiting for the perfect card~ Used a mini black polka dot paper for mats and accented the corners for some BLING with faceted jewels.  Was so glad most of this paper was double-sided-takes the guess work out of the plan.  I finished it off in the inside liner with some more black and white designer paper.
We hope you join us at the CWWC Challenge with your wonderful entry!

March Releases are now Ready at Sasayaki Glitter! Check them out!

It's time for the new March Releases at Sasayaki Glitter so I'd like to present "Yours Only".  Isn't he adorable standing there with his bouquet  for his Friend?!
I colored him with Copics, put a lime green dp behind to mat him and then found this neat circle paper with a dark brown background to use as the accent paper.  I remembered some large circle eyelets, so picked some appropriate ones and mounted them through the front panel.  Printed out a sentiment and attached an enamel dot.  On the liner in the inside, I used scraps to fill the page and then did another sentiment stamp.  This could be used for so many occasions-So Cute!

Masculine card at Sasakari Glitter-a freebie for all!

This is an adorable image from Sasakari Glitter called Lonely Boy-and it's a freebie on her site this whole month.  I need to do more masculine cards-I love using boyish embellies!
This is on a 4x4 card blank, using tones of blues, greens and browns and metal silver star stickers, and a silver metal swirl that I curled around the edge of the card.  Found some really neat denim washi tape and matching denim ribbon at my LSS so tied some on the swirl.  As this is a Happy Birthday card, on the inside I lined it and then used assorted chipboard glazed letters/numbers that are SO boy-like.  Hope you will visit Naz's site and visit her Etsy store-some cute images there!
I'd like to enter this Birthday card at:
