A reminder to Come over to All Dressed Up and Play with us!!

When I chose the "3 Little Autumn Girls " to use I wanted to try and use as many of them as I could.  For this 6x6 card, I folded the front face of the card back and that was the staging for the girl with the blue cap.  The girl with the highlights in her hair is actually laying flat on the inside right panel.   I lined up the "burlap" mats and added Fall Flower Soft with glue to the ground under their feet.
When you pull open the left panel, you can see that there is more burlap paper filling the whole inside of the card.  I used a large fishtail die cut from a friend and then stamped it with a great KKS stamp with a yummy chocolate Colorbox ink.
This is basically a reminder to come over and check out the challenge that's still going over on our blog.
There are so many talented artists on the DT-come on over and meet us--this is a great challenge!  I love this time of year when the air is getting crisper and cooler.  Happy Fall Y'all!

REMINDER of our Challenge over at Create It Color It Show It Off!

Over at Color It Create It Show It Off, we still have a Challenge going on for YOU to enter!  Such great Prizes are offered!  One of the few Challenges around that still give our images to the winners.
This digital image is from Sherri Baldy Stamps and is Img 0118- isn't she just too cute!!??  I particularly love the Mushroom in the flower cluster on her hat!  She's colored in copics and seemed to ooze "Country".  So, I used gingham, distressed khaki dots, and a strip of burlap along with a orange dotted mat to make her right at home.  I think the special yellow button is a great accent.  On the card inside, I repeated the khaki dots and used sentiments both outside and inside from KKS.
We wanted to let you know that it's not too late to join our challenge.  We are always inspired seeing other peoples' creations and can't wait to see YOURS!

New Release at Sasayaki Glitter of some great Images! Come check us out!

What a fun Fall image this was to color up for the New Release from Sasayaki Glitter!  The image if called Fall Peggy and she's so much fun!  Naz Smith the owner of SG always has unique images in her store-several with Peggy!  Not only does she have new releases but also challenges-check them out here.
I love the Fall season and I think I found the most gorgeous paper in my paper stash for the background of my card~ After coloring Fall Peggy, I double matted her (one of which was a burlap look).  I cut this wide burlap ribbon in half and shredded it, glued it on with Zip 2way and put a rust colored button accent at the side. The Fall Harvest sentiment is a cardstock sticker.  I always finish the inside and loved this fun pumpkin print done on a kraft background paper.  This sentiment is one I got from a swap party where we exchanged double-matted stamped images--Great way to use up scraps!  During slow times, I like to stamp and use up my scraps this way!
Come visit us at Sasayaki Glitter to see the new releases and get inspired to submit your own creations to our Challenges!  Can't wait to see them!

Sami Stamps is sponsoring our Challenge at Crafting When We Can.."Things with Wings"

Well, I fell head over heals in love with this image from Sami Stamps!  This image is called "Bird on my Toes" and is one I used for the CWWC Challenge.  It's so modern and fresh and really reminds me of my daughter and her love of Gardening and Animals.
I used Copics for the coloring-sorry for the photo fading the effect of the sky-it's full of fluffy white clouds!  I used a strip of wide burlap ribbon with the edges frayed out to run behind the image.  I distressed the edge of patterned paper with my Tim Holtz tool and added a stamped sentiment from KKS on the front as well as the inside.  The field of grass looked a bit bare so I added sprigs of grass and "flower stems" around her and then added some flower Bling!  We are so blessed to be able to use fine sponsors such as Sami Stamps. We'd love to see your entry so come over for a visit!

Squigglefly has new images launching this week-Pam's Pumpkins

Well ONE OF THESE DAYS the days will get cooler and the leaves will start turning colors and Autumn will be upon us.  I love this time of year and look forward to setting all my metal pumpkins staked all around my yard.
In the meantime, Pammie Lehto, one of the artists at Squigglefly, has come up with this cute image called Pam's Pumpkins.

Using a mat of Kraft paper, I mounted an embossed leaf paper with veins of foil on it.  I used this wide Ombre like sheer ribbon to wrap around the card front and for the bow. I tied this neat burlap leaf shape that was mounted on a very stiff board around the ribbon before placing the bow. The stick pin is by Bella Blvd!  The inside has a leaf print liner and an embossed sentiment card from my LSS, roughed up by my Tim Holtz distresser.
Hope you like this~be sure you take a look in the Squigglefly Store for some new ideas.  Join in on our challenges each week to win a free image!
