All Dressed Up Challenge~ Anything Goes with an ADU image

Over at All Dressed Up Stamps, we are currently running our April 15th Challenge and we want you to join in!  It runs to May 14th and is AG with using an ADU image.

The one I chose for this event is called Strawberry Girl and can be found in the Shop here   Lol this card has had 2 revisions much to my frustration but I'm happy with the end results.  I had to fancy cut the image as the background I was creating got ruined.  So originally, her blanket would have showed up much better had I not done that.*** It just goes to show that you have to be flexible with your creations 'cause you never know when things are going to go down the tubes!  You just laugh and go on!  As I was running out of time, I used some zigzag papers chipped at the top to form "grass" and had some emergency cloud paper that was used in the background.

In the inside, I used a smaller graphic paper and a white label die cut to frame the friendship sentiment that I stamped.  Both of the sentiments were from KKS and really come in handy!
We hope to see what YOU create for the challenge-the winner gets free images from ADU and there's tons to choose from!  Hurry on over!

Spring Fling! Using Img 5651 from Sherri Baldy

Even though it's still February, Spring is right around the corner and I think this new image (#5651) from Sherri Baldy just reeks of
S P R I N G!!!
I used Copics, epoxy dots, rub-on stitches and Glossy Accents for the glasses. Good chance to use those edges along you paper sheets-this one had Spring Fling-Perfect!
On the inside, I used multiple papers and matted a sentiment that is on the double sided papers.  When you get these images from Sherri at her store link here, they are b&w images and your creativity can go wild-that's where the polka-dots came from!

The Last Month for the Come and Get It Challenges--join us in the last Hurrah!

This is a beautiful time of the year for us to share our creations with you from Come and Get It Challenge Family...but this month it's a little bit different for us on the Design Team.

You will notice on the Challenge site we are joined on the 3rd and on the 17th by past DT members also, to celebrate the Final hurrah of this Great blog site.  Yes, this month will be our last month sharing with all of our followers.  Due to unforeseen  circumstances, the 2 great leaders of our group, Cindy and Julie, have to close the website.  I know that all of us will see each other again in this crafty world-they have been wonderful to work with for all of us.

So this is my first contribution, using Polkadoodles' Hollybobs Mistletoe.  He was delightful to color and create with, as have been all the Polkadoodle images I've been thrilled to receive in the past.  I liked coloring him with copics in some "boyish" colors like grays, burgundy, navy, and greens and browns. Paired with an accent of red plaid paper, a chipboard sentiment and white dimensional poinsettia, I loved using the vintage red sentiment papers with this square card.
For the inside, I used a pattern of dots-reminded me of snow but in colors of grays, white and burgundy.  Another Chipboard saying is perfect for Christmas.
Remember there are lots of prizes to be won because of the multiple sponsors this month--We would love you to join us for our challenge.  We have all appreciated the loyalty to our site and have loved seeing all your beautiful creations.  Be sure and participate in the Challenge on the 13th also.  We want you ALL to be there with us.  Thank you one and all.

Polkadoodles is the Sponsor at Come and Get It! Theme is to use 2 or More Designer Papers~

No automatic alt text available. Over at Come and Get It, we've got a Challenge going on with the theme "Use 2 or  more Designer Papers" with any image.  The DT is using images by Polkadoodles and I'm so thrilled with her "Darling Bud" series!  The one I used is called Crocus_the Darling Buds.
I probably should have used several different Crocus colors but I just love the color combination of pinks and greens.  There are so many beautiful images to use at this site-check it out!  After coloring her with copics, I mounted her on foam dots for dimension, found 2 different design papers and then started creating the cluster of flowers.  Before starting hot gluing them on, I placed 2 larger foam dots in the corner so I would have a base to push the stick pins of the green bird and pink enameled heart into.  I used a combination of paper flowers and rose buds in pink & white.  I added some white paper lace on the side of the image and 3 small pink epoxy dots in the bottom right corner.  On the inside, I found a complimentary paper, and stamped a KKS sentiment stamp on a die cut scalloped oval.  Come on over and check out our Challenge and hopefully yours will get picked by the DT to win some images!

Come and Get It Challenge-POLKA DOTS is the Theme! Bugaboo is our sponsor!

When I saw this adorable image called High Heels by Bugaboo, I knew that I had several "Divas" that would love to get cards such as the one I have today!  The Wonderful Come and Get It Challenge (CAGI) has a challenge every week and this week's theme is "POLKA DOTS"-what fun!
As you can see, I love that theme!  It's my first attempt at a "window card" so be easy on me!!
I never want to hide the great images inside the cards so had to figure out how to show it through the front.  Even the raspberry frame is raised with dots!  I colored it with copics and used a silver metallic pen for the clasp and the shimmer on the pearls.  That's a felt button flower on top of the big bow and I put a pink bling flower in the center of that bow and accented on the image!
Now it's your turn to show us your creations!  We'd love to see them so come our and play!!

A Day for Daisies sponsors Always Anything Goes Challenge at CRAFT YOUR PASSION

It's always a great time when we have A Day for Daisies sponsoring our Always Anything Goes challenge at Craft Your Passion!!! This time is no different as we start to turn away from Winter time (I'm ignoring the fact that they are calling for
S N O W Monday) and look to Springtime and warmer weather.
The image I'm using is called Gathering Flowers, a simple but elegant image, colored in Copics.  I really like the clean look of this!  I trimmed back the front about 1.5" so that I could add a paper lace strip and show the inside design paper.  I put a cluster of paper roses, spiral stamens, and glass leaf stick pins.  On the inside, using coordinating polka dot paper, I accented with 3 different style buttons and a die cut with a Birthday stamp.  This will be a real winner to give to a friend!
I'd like to enter this in:
  • Come and Get it Challenge-1 digi, 2 papers, 3 embellishments

Lacy Sunshine is sponsoring us at Southern Girls Challenge-Theme is You Spin me ROUND

At Southern Girls Challenge we have challenges every three weeks.  This time AROUND, the theme is "You Spin me ROUND Baby" so it could be circle shapes, dots, buttons, die cuts...let you imagination go wild.  I'm using a Sponsored provided image from Lacy Sunshine called Emily-Spring Ladybugs which I adore!  I have so many circle shapes on my creation--polka-dot embossed paper, ladybug dots on her hair bow, even buttons across the bottom of the card.  I cut back the front edge a little so that I could place some paper lace from my stash.  I just love the way it always looks so feminine!  This lime green chevron paper looks so great inside with my stamped sentiment-it will make a great Birthday card for a friend!
