Birthday Challenge at My Besties International Challenge-All Month Long!

If you're like me, I never have enough Birthday Cards for friends and family.   This is Img121 and she is one of the Sweet Treat Besties in Sherri Baldy's shop found here.

At the My Besties International Challenge, they are celebrating their 4 YEAR BIRTHDAY and with this Challenge, they have a big prize pack to go out to their random winner and Top 3 Winners this month!

This beauty is colored with Copics and then the mat is edged with a row of paper lace with dew drops in the center of the chevrons.  The interesting paper has some glossy embossed cupcakes on it with some glitter on the shapes.  I added a sheer white chiffon bow and a cute stamp that says "Got Cake?".  On the inside, I used confetti paper with another sentiment--It's all about the SWEETS Ladies!

It runs all month long so there's plenty of time to get your beautiful creation entered into the Challenge!  Come join us for the FUN!

Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion--The East Wind is sponsoring us!

What a fun Image from The East Wind called Lisa Diva 'hmmm Cupcake'  and I think it's SO CUTE to use in our Always Anything Goes Challenge at Craft Your Passion!  Whew I might have typed that all in one breath!
After coloring her in Copics, I used some star dust Stickles on her cupcake icing.  I think the black oval mat makes the image pop against the floral background.  I ran a sheer ribbon through the top of the card to make a bow.  After stamping a Birthday greeting from KKS and adding some mini rosebuds and assorted mulberry flowers from Wild Orchard, it was all ready to send to a deserving and dear friend!  The inside liner is finished with a red & white polkadot and stamped with a large sentiment.
We want you to come over to Craft Your Passion for our ATG Challenge with your creation.  The winner of this latest challenge could win 3 images of choice from The East Wind.  Come out and play!

Scrapper's Delights is sponsoring Through the Purple Haze's Monthly Challenge!

At Through the Purple Haze this month, we are being sponsored by Scraper's Delights on our next Any Thing Goes Challenge.  I go the opportunity to do **2** images-the first one is called Cupcake Honey-I just adore her look!  Must be the glasses that interest me so much!  I double matted the Copic Colored image and wrapped the mats with a sheer yellow imprinted ribbon.  I used a bright spring flowered design paper and attached by fav embellishment-Buttons!
There's a Birthday Sentiment inside, matted and on a pretty pink paper.

*****************************
The next image is called Nerissa-Mermaid and is also by Scrapper's Delights.  I couldn't resist doing a little staging with her as she's sort-of laying down.  I had this great boulder paper just purchased so I created like a rocky knoll for her to gaze out from.  I even cut out some random rocks and put a pop dot on the back for dimension.  THEN I used these terriffic high finish sequins in aqua, green and blue from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps so that it would be like water spray shimmering in the sun.  The neat thing I did with Nerissa was create a tail fin and side fins out of green vellum and propped them up with some Zots.
On the inside, I finished off with design paper and a sentiment and accented it with silver sequins.
Hope you like the examples of what our sponsor has waiting for you-come join in the fun month long challenge with us!

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the "BUG" challenge at Cupcake Inspirations this week!

This week's challenge at Cupcake Inspirations is being sponsored by Doodle Pantry and participants were to take a hint from CI's design post:  BUGS!  Aren't these adorable!!  Someone is Very creative out there for sure.
In support of the challenge, I chose one of Doodle Pantry's images called Birthday Birdie and got a little carried away!  The background papers all come with the set also~I fancy cut the image, leaving a slit in the tail feathers to insert some fun green dyed feathers, FC the hat and icing and then pop-dotted them for dimension and BLINGED them up big time with seed beads.  I use these also in shaker boxes for sure.  I added a "bug-butterfly" metal charm/brad -was so happy that the color matched so well!
Doodle Pantry is giving away a $10 prize for the winner of the challenge so get yourself over to play this 1 week challenge-they'd love to see your entry!

Frankie wants his Cupcake for a Squigglefly Halloween Treat!

It's almost time for all the spooks and goblins to come out to play for Halloween!  At Squigglefly, Frankie-the adorable image from Cheryl Alger, is going after a yummy cupcake for his treat!  I popped him up on foam dots for dimension, colored with copics.  The cupcake was cut out with an Impression Obsession die cut using Swiss Dot gold card stock from Bazzill.  The icing is from card stock called Ice Gold from The Paper Cut.  It's an iridescent shimmery gold color.  This pre-scored card blank is from The Paper Cut Company and is called the Cupcake Swinging Z-fold card blank  in the new color, Orange Fizz.  Just in time for Fall or Halloween!  I used a Bronze glitter from Martha Stewart.  I used a Batty paper from The Paper Studio matted in black on the inside.  In the die cut set from IO, there's an outline die of the whole cupcake so I like to use those as a small insert where I can stamp a picture or journal a verse, which is what I did with the pumpkin stamp.  The inside of the card makes a great place to use my larger Happy Birthday stamp with lots of room to write a greeting.
Be sure and check out Squigglefly's Latest Challenge where they want your Halloween cards!  If you use a SF image, you could win another one for your growing library.  They have so many new artists coming on board, there's tons of designs to choose from.  We'd love for you to join us!

Emma & The Cake from Fred She Said with help from The Paper Cut

This cutie called Emma (from Fred She Said Designs) is patterned from Tracey's (aka Fred) daughter.  She shows up in the cutest settings and I like using her pre-colored digitals. Officially this is called Emma & the Cake and makes a great birthday card!

I used my Cupcake Swinging Z-Fold card blank from The Paper Cut in the color of Grape Jelly.  I'm really liking these "moving" cards!  I'm very proud to be on their Design Team!  The green that I used as a mat and as the cupcake is called Basis Lt. Lime.  Then the icing is from an exciting textured cardstock called pearlized Esse White and I used the Cupcake die from Impression Obsession--I think they all bring out the candy colors from the design paper from the Spooky & Kooky papers by Bazzill.  Course  I Do love me some buttons!!

Beginning a Lovely Partnership with The Paper Cut!

Off on a new adventure for me as I begin creating cards for The Paper Cut!  I'm  very excited to be using their very cool pre-cut and scored card blanks-it makes creating a card SO very easy.  No more measuring, cutting, scoring--it's already done for you!  All you have to do is add your creativity and have fun!
The style I'm using on these Birthday cards is called appropriately the "Cupcake Swinging Z Fold Card" in 2 fabulous colors, Lemon Drop & Pewter.  I've always been interested in these cards that do a "flip" while you're opening the card and having the Impression Obsession Cupcake Set thin metal die set to really accent the flip was fantastic!
On the BOLD graphic card, I teamed up the Lemon Drop card with one of The Paper Cut's new Pop Tone card stocks called Razzle Berry, both for the embossed liner and the cupcake base.  I love this yummy pink color!! Then I used the Whip Cream card stock for the icing and the cupcake sentiment frame inside-topped it off with some seed beads "sprinkles"--Looks good enough to EAT!!

Next I was on to a little more elegant card using the same Paper Cut swinging card but in the shade of pewter.  I was looking to make a masculine card but then stumbled over this paisley patterned paper from The Paper Studio-it matched perfectly.  There's a hint of green in the print so I used one of the Basis card stock line in Basis Olive for the embossed liner and the mat under the stamped image.  The blue accents are done with Basis Lt. Blue and "icing" in Whip Cream again.  I love the Stickles that I Sprinkled on the cupcake and the HB mat!
I'm so lucky to be using these wonderful items-I hope that you will visit The Paper Cut site and check out their Gallery for loads of ideas~  Thanks for looking!
I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
