Easter Blessings from Fred, She Said Designs
I'm truly blessed to be on a Design Team that furnishes you with designs and inspires you to make Christian cards with gorgeous Digital images and sentiments. That team is at Fred, She Said and Tracey (aka Fred) is so talented! That inspiration led me to use Easter Lilies and Sentiment Digi Set. I colored the black & White image and then Fancy cut it so that I could use it as an accent on my card. The dp is covered with soft lilies, I used an embossed grass green cardstock as a mat and then edged the card with heavy woven cotton lace. I made some small accent cards with Easter images on them and tucked them in behind the sentiment. This card just makes me feel serene and at peace and I was so thrilled to share it with friends! I hope this Easter finds you and your family and friends surrounded in His Love.

Anything Goes at Squigglefly This week!
We would really love to see one with a Squigglefly image or sentiment in it. To be eligible for the prize, it's required, but to play along, it's not necessary. Share whatever you create.
The image that I used is called A Baby and a Bunny by artist Fawn Palmer and comes with a sentiment that says "some bunny thinks you're cute". I put some on the front and then on the inside. I couldn't stand that the neat die cut chopped off his curly topknot so I put the little piece back into the scrolls-Now he looks right!
Be sure to check out the new challenge-they have wonderful designs in the shop and many talented artists. Two chances to win!!

Children Love Easter Egg Hunting at Southern Girls Challenge
It's almost time for Easter and here at Southern Girls Challenge, we're going to try to see it through the eyes of children! I used this adorable child dressed up in a bunny leotard and bunny ear headdress digital image to "Hop on Down the Bunny Trail"-she's mounted with foam dots. The background paper reminds me of the designs we would paint on the eggs! I used some cardstock embellishments that came on a 12 x 12 page, complete with glittery bling-the top banner says Egg Painting Zone. I inserted 2 little ATC style accents with Easter themes and then "Grounded" the card with a purple satin egg ribbon.

Tiny bubbles are POPPING at SquiggleFly Today!
The image I used this week at Squigglefly was called Bubble Bath Bear by artist Diane Carubia and the added challenge that the clever folks at this great site gave us was to make a card that depicts a song. I instantly thought of the song "Tiny Bubbles by Don Ho" when I saw this cute bear having fun in his bubble bath! It's very hard to see the soft pastel plaid dp background paper that I used but it's in the greens/yellows/ and pinks that are in this digi. I used one of the soft country baby squares that was on a 12 x 12 page and angled it into the corner to create some interest. A touch of a paper flower with glittery center balances the image. Thanks for taking a look and I hope that we see you around in the Gallery!

Sketch #35 challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy
This Cutie image is called Primrose Baby Sitting and I had fun playing along with Seems a Little Sketchy with this adorable digital! Makes a great "Baby's coming" card for those baby showers etc. I had already die cut my image in a circle so just mounted it on a square so that it would match the sketch as shown. I added this cute felt rose that my daughter made when she was crafting with me this afternoon. I miss those times so it makes this flower Very Special. I did some squirley stitching around the edges with my new sewing machine-it's great to finely have something that works when you want to add that special detail to your cards.I hope you'll find some time to share your creations with us this week!

Spring Themes are budding at Squiggle Fly with Cheryl Alger
This week at Squiggle Fly we all get to show our "Spring Fever" by entering our Spring Theme cards--St. Patrick's Day, Easter, or any General Spring Theme like flowers, gardening...There are lots of wonderful stamps in the store with these topics!
The image I used is from one of my favorite artists at SF, Cheryl Alger and it's called My Favorite Kind of Weather. I used my chisel tip on my blue copic so that I could "streak" the color and hopefully make it look like planks on a house and so the grass would look like it was mowed. I added a terrific die cut from Memory Box called Orchard Tree Frame-love love love it! Actually saw it online on a card, contacted the creator and she gave me the information so that I could purchase it! The image has some flowers already on it but I've added some extra buttons, minus the shank and a dragonfly and bee. This just reeks Spring to me-hope you enjoy it!
I'm sending this to Sassy Cheryl's Show-me-Thursday challenge.

Easter cards are Peeping at Fred, She Says
I know...
You are all getting tired of me wishing for Spring! BUT when you have such cute pre-colored images from Fred, She Says you can't help but get the itch for Spring! That means Easter is right around the corner. This card features a great digital image called Easter Chicky and comes with flowers across the bottom OR with a shell cap Or without either one-very versatile! Tracey (aka Fred) has just released a great set called Marigold and Morpho and in that set is a beautiful rich colored solid marigold flower paper=that's what I used here. I Wanted to recreate those old timey sugar eggs where you had the peep hole in the end and were able to look inside and see the scene. Often there would be this lacey ruffle around the hole, like you see here. I stitched it down as it had elastic in the center and was curling. With an accent of 2 paper flowers, I'm already to mail this out!

Ribbon but no Bows-Latest Squigglefly Challenge
Our Challenge this week on Squigglefly is to use Ribbon in some other way that in a Bow! Well you'd think this was relatively easy and, Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals have come up with some creative ideas! Well luckily one of the images that I was given to use was A Ribbon Dancer by Fawn Palmer so with a little fancy cutting, I was able to mount the image along with the sentiment and then flow the ribbon all over the page. I just love watching the Olympics when they have this rhythmic floor exercise-so graceful! This is also a great time at the Squigglefly shop to use the Easter Discount Code for the whole month of March--Spring 15 will give you a 15% discount on purchases and there are fantastic artists selling their images at very reasonable prices. Check them out! The first Saturday of the month is also the time when they showcase the new images for the store--great timing!
You have a whole week to join in the fun at this great challenge website so I hope to see your entries there soon! Thanks for checking us out and Happy Scrapping! Carolyn

Twice the Fun at Seems a Little Sketchy
This challenge is to follow the sketch provided by Seems a Little Sketchy and I was so excited to have such an interesting sketch and 2 great sponsors, that I made 2 cards for this challenge.
The first one uses an image called Sniffing Daisies from Delicious Doodles. I simply love all the flowers--I am SO ready for Spring this year and the end of snow! I had a larger image that the sketch plans for so it made the placement of the layers a little difficult. But I wanted the focus to be on the lovely girl!
The second card I made into a thank you card for a friend. This cute little image from Robyn's Fetish called Five Little Froggies. Would be a great card if numerous people were in the card giving group! Those are chipboard monogram letters used for the THX message instead of flowers. I really love making masculine cards!
Please join us at Seems a Little Sketchy for the bi-monthly challenge-we have a lot of fun and there are always great digital prizes!
