All Dressed Up free image over at Kit & Cowder!

We at All Dressed Up have some exciting news for everyone--Wendy Burns our resident Artist has offered this beautiful image called "Sassy" to use through Kit and Clowder.  You can get this gorgeous image for free for a limited time by following the steps Alyce has provided in her post.
I used a holographic silver star patterned paper as the background, a heavy written cardstock that I distressed for another layer, and finally, the "Star" of the card-dancing in the starry midnight air.  I used copics to color her (and a couple of refills for the blues!), my favorite medium.  On the inside, I finished with a complimentary paper with one of my favorite sentiments from KKK.
Keep checking the K&C site for a chance to get this freebie from ADU , as well as all the renditions of this beauty from the ADU DT.  Hope you will join us!

Flowers are coming! Spring is here!

Anyone that knows me very well knows I love flowers of any shape or kind!  I get that from my Mom and my enthusiasm has spread to my Hubby-last year in our pasture, he planted over 300,000 Zinnia seeds in a spiral garden so I could walk around them and cut one of my favorite flowers.  That's why I seem drawn to Sherri Baldy's images even MORE than usual when they have flowers on them!  This one is called Fancy Pants Img 74 and can be found in the store here. I luckily found this gorgeous paisley paper in my stash with the yellows, lavenders, and green from the image.  The image has been colored with copic pens, she's double matted, with a ribbon accent.  I like eclectic groups of flowers and textures and found this array in my stash also.
Please enjoy wandering through all the different categories in Sherri's store!  Not only images but papers, flowers, embellishments, fabric, oh the list goes on!

ATG Challenge at ALL Dressed Up--It feels like Springtime!

I'm sure loving all the Spring images coming out of All Dressed Up lately-makes you smell the fresh air and anticipate all the gorgeous flowers getting ready to bloom!
This image called Busy Little Bee is one that's special to me-I love how I was able to get the shine on the Bee outfit-I had all this unique "bee" design paper in my stash so what a perfect time to use it!  Both the front sentiment and the inside liner sentiment both came as part of the set.
I accented the antenna and the "honey" with epoxy dots and the coolest item on this card (I think) is the surprise Hubby left me on my finished coloring one evening.  See, I like to leave my colorings on my work table so that when he comes to bed, he has to pass by it and I like to get his opinion on the finished product (he's a retired Art Teacher and his thoughts mean a lot to me).  Well, he likes to work on fishing lures and decided he'd fool me with a fish glass eye sitting on the side bumblebee.  Only, after playing around with it, I thought it would look cool to put on top of the black circles that were her eyes-I kind of like the effect!
On the inside, I used an alternate bee paper and, like I mentioned, a sentiment from the set.  This card can be used for so many occasions!
I hope you will join us for this month's Challenge-it's always Anything Goes as long as it's with a ADU image.  It lasts until April 14th-the winner could be YOU!  Can't wait to see your creations!

It's a Monsters Birthday Party--at Color It Create It Show it Off

It's a Monster Party over at Color It Create It Show It Off and I just love this quirky image 006 from Sherri Baldy.  It can be found in her shop here.  There's quite a variety of them and we know you'll find just the right one for some Fun! Our theme is Monster Birthday and I went in a different direction from the birthday balloons.  I shadowed the dots on her face so it make them look raised up-Then threw on some Stickles as an accent.  Also put some purple Stickles on her toenails and green on her antennas and epoxy dots randomly spread.  I lucked out that the design paper that I used also had the phrase already printed out so of course I used it.  On the inside , I matched some pink papers up from my Stash and used a KKS stamp.

I've enjoyed every minute of my time on this great DT team and it is with a heavy heart that I  have decided to go and try other things in Blogland.  This will be my last post for CICISIO and I wish all the friends and "second" family all the Best!!  They've been gracious enough to leave the door open for me if I want to come back in the future-that means a lot to me.  So look for me on FB - I'm sure that I'll be around!  Thanks for the memories!
