A Day For Daisies is sponsoring Craft Your Passion--Anything Goes!

It's A DAY FOR DAISIES here on this Monday as they are our sponsor this week at Craft Your Passion!  Please join in our Challenge and the winner will win a $12 Gift Card to spend in their Store!
The gorgeous image that I'm using today is called Pearls in my Hair and I love the simplicity of the image but it has so many intricate parts!  I knew I had the perfect paper for it with little blue birds on it.  On the inside, I've got a complimentary blue mat just waiting for a special sentiment.  Unusual for me not to "finish" it up when making it but, there were so many possibilities/events to use it for, I couldn't decide.  I also used some white die cuts from a friend with a button in the center.
Can't wait to see what you have to show us at the Challenge-we get so inspired by your creations!  See you there!

Anything Goes at Monday Greetings-OUTLAWZ group---Lacy Sunshine is the Sponsor!

Today's entry at Monday Greetings at Outlawz is the end of my Guest Designer Spot and I'm so thankful that they asked me!  It has been a great chance to participate in their great website Group and use terriffic digital images from all their great sponsors.  Make sure that you keep coming back to participate in their weekly challenges-you won't be disappointed!
This week their sponsor is Lacy Sunshine Stamps and the theme is Anything Goes!  Who doesn't like that?!  I have a personal connection to this wonderful group run by Heather Valentin and just love her big eyed characters.  This week I'm using Reggie Let's BBQ and think it's perfect for the Holiday coming up!  Using some patriotic paper, I colored him up with Copics and used a new Gel pen called a Glaze pen on the steak and the colored part of his eyes.  This sure beats the heck out of Diamond Glaze and flows like a dream.  I made a fishtail banner out of starred paper, added a computer HAPPY sentiment and then added a glossy, thick chipboard #4.  In the inside, I used the backside of the design paper and used a Stamp'in up sentiment.  Hope you like?  Be sure to check out this Great Group at Outlawz and get your entry in so you can be eligible for the Prizes!

Lacy Sunshine-Anything goes Challenge-Christmas in July

I know that you all have heard of Christmas in July events--gotta think of someway to beat the heat right?  Well, Team A from the Lacy Sunshine Creative Team wants to welcome you to the bi-weekly challenge!  We are featuring the Whimsical group of images created by Heather Valentin called Briar Whimsies...they live in the woodlands among the fairies and mushrooms.  On rare occasions it snows in the forest so, you might see some snow!
The image I'm using is Mushi Whimsie Christmas and she's using her mushrooms as Christmas Trees.  She's very decorative herself in her Christmas Red and white "fur" trimmed outfit.  There was a lot of Flower Soft flying around my craft room.  Of course, there are ornaments hanging from the "Trees" and the festive red mushrooms are topped with the snow that fell in her picture.  I felt like she needed to be on a forest dirt floor among all the other trees on the design paper--some of them are glossy embossed and glittery.  On the inside of the card is the coordinating paper that matches with both verses on the paper as well as a wonderful sentiment from my stash.
Please come and join us for a delightful Christmas in July with Lacy Sunshine-We can't wait to see your creations and get inspired!

Fourth of July is full of Sparklers and Pop at 2 CuteInk

It's my turn at posting a weekly card using one of the many cute images at 2 CuteInk!  This image is appropriately called Sparklers and he's full of celebration!
I made sure I added some silver flecked Stickles to the fireworks!  On the inside, I used the reverse of this double sided design paper.  It makes me think of the bombs bursting in air!  Hope you will be enjoying the
Holiday of the birth of our Nation with some picnics, good food, good friends, and lots of fireworks for you to ooooo and awwww about!  Get the mosquito spray out!

Lacy Sunshine gives us a Springtime Image!

This week I'm so happy to show you a Birthday card that I made using a Lacy Sunshine image called Margo Petalbay!  I so like using Heather Valentin's images with their gorgeous eyes, beautiful hair, and wonderful clothing accents!  They have so much depth to them!!
This month's "theme" is Wings and her blue and white polka dot ones are so adorable~ I accented her with a sheer spring green ribbon and an intricate butterfly.
The design paper I had was a pre-printed with a decorative strip and cluster of flowers-perfect for a complete card!  Be sure and come out and play with us on the Lacy Sunshine Blog!  We'd love to see you there!

Rick St. Dennis is Sponsoring us at Outlawz--Monday-Greetings

This week at the Outlawz group, Monday-Greetings, they are thrilled to be sponsored by Rick St. Dennis! His theme for us is/was Father's Day or Masculine.  I'm sure you all know his work and great designs-I'm using Cats 2 Martini and making a card for a friend.  Check out the Outlawz site and you will find that they frequently have outstanding sponsors-it is well worth your time to join in the fun!  Each challenge lasts for a week-this month there are 5 opportunities to win!  I used a reddish brown polka-dot paper to mat the image, wrapped the image with b&w baker's twine, a sticker "Smile", and used pop-dots to lift it up off the b&w pin-striped paper.  The inside is finished off with a sticker that says Friends to the End.  Can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge!

One Sweet Challenge at Sweet Pea Stamps-Use a Die or Punches

We're ready at Sweet Pea Stamps for the 2nd half of our monthly Challenge -We're to use either Dies or Punches!  You can see that I chose to cut out around my image with a die to bring the focus to the gorgeous image, Butterfly Lilypad by Lemon Short Bread.
I just love so many things about this sweetie sitting on her rock! Gorgeous eyes, layout of the flower, the floating of the dress panels.!  Then I found the perfect paper for the coloring and away we went!  I double matted her and then added the sheer ribbon.  In the inside, I added a sticker that matched the papers that says "Cherish".
Remember because it's the third Monday of June you will see more art work for the June challenge. I also want to remind you that our prizes are three digital images if the winner uses an SPS image, or one digital image if the winner does not use an SPS image. Can you give me one good reason why you would not want to use an SPS image? This challenge will end on July 4. This gives you an extra week to get your creativity going.  Please come and play with us and let us see your beautiful creations.

Di's Digi's is Sponsoring "Always Anything Goes" at Craft Your Passion!

At Craft Your Passion, where the Challenges are Always Anything Goes, We're being sponsored for the next 2 weeks by Di's Digi's!  She is allowing us to use any image from our Crafty Stash so I'm using one called the Big Wheel Bike by Elizabeta Kushner.  I know I'm going to be using this a lot, changing the colors on the bike and accessorizing with so many things!
Wouldn't this make a great anytime card for your husband, son, or friend/family member?
This is the Double Hinge card from The Paper Cut, a site that specializes in providing pre-scored card blanks for intricate designs & Cardstock that is fabulous.  I've been having a blast with the different styles!  Their pre-scored card blanks are from great weight cardstock in fabulous colors, the base of this one is Basis Lt. Brown.  I've tried turning it like this before and love the effect. I double matted the image, with a chocolate felt cs and a green from my stash. That's a black and tan baker's twine wrap and the mat is only attached halfway.  The button helps weigh it down. When lifted, it shows the neat vintage Watch paper.  I attached some manly sitckers, a die cut label with a sentiment stamped.  I just love the old time feel of this card and hope you will go to Craft Your Passion to check out all their great projects!  The winner that is chosen receive a $10 Voucher at her store, Di's Digi's.

Melonheadz Sponsors Outlawz, SUMMER VACATION

This week as the Guest Designer at Outlawz, Monday Greetings Group, I'm using the cute summer digi image from Melonheadz.  They have such cute images and quite a variety.  The theme this week is SUMMER VACATION.  With the weekly Outlawz challenge, you just have to make sure that there is a greeting on the front of your card/project.  Simple!

I cut the front flap of the card in half and then fancy cut the surfing image so that it overhangs the flap.  I like how the wave is lifting her up!  On the inside of the card I tucked the plain surfboard into the inner edge so that it wouldn't cover up the neat reflecting water paper I was using.  I put a Hang Ten Text box over the Board before I printed it off.
It will have lots of summertime uses, birthdays, summer camp, missing you, thinking of yous...  Go check out the Monday greetings Group, there are some great ladies just waiting to get inspired from YOU!

Father's Day Challenge at 2 CuteInk

Such a cute card for a Great Father's Day card from 2 CuteInk--called Alligator Hugs!  These images are so easy to color up so that you can get your cards done for that last minute "need"!
After coloring with Copics, I mounted it to black cardstock and then wrapped the mat with baker's twine.  Then I added a silver heart that is stamped with "Love".  The way this image presented itself, the sentiment just came to me and I think it's perfect!
This "paper" I used is some I've held on to for years!  It reminds you more of a fabric with a weave on the back but it cuts and responds like paper.  It even has a shiny finish on top of the texture.
This will be the last challenge we have at 2 CuteInk for the rest of the summer as the artist is taking a family break.  However, the DT will be posting various images throughout that time.  So come and join us and let us see your project!

Dr. Digi EMBOSS IT over at the Monday-Greetings Group at OUTLAWZ

As I post my entry for the Guest Designer for the Monday-Greetings Group at Outlawz for the second week, I'm thrilled to use a great image from Dr. Digi!!  The name of the image is Metal Mick and the Theme of this week is Emboss It! (any way you want-wet, dry/whatever)
This is a perfect image for me as my Hubby owns a Guitar Shop on the side and has played Guitar since high school!  Lots of fine details on this image but was fun to do.  This was the first time I'd used this guitar embossing folder but it turned out so cool-I highlighted the raised images using Silver Inka-gold and just rubbed it over the edges.  On the inside, I had this neat guitar paper, colored up a stamp in sort of a rusty brown and a general sentiment that could be used for a Birthday or for Father's Day coming up.
Come join us for the weekly challenge over at Outlaws with the Monday-Greetings Group.  They're a great group of gals that can't wait to see what you've created!
How Can You Qualify to Win a Prize?
  1. The sentiment must appear on the front of your card or project to be eligible to win.

At Scrapbooker PhD this month, we're being sponsored by Pink and Main~ Please check them out and see all the goodies they have.  The Theme is "Summer Fun" and we were allowed to use some of our own fun images!  One of my favorite artists is Cheryl Alger and this is one of her digitals!  I just love the feet just sticking out there in the water~  I used some neat wavy water paper and used some summer ribbon with sentiments I had in my stash.  Look closely, the "button" I used is actually a brad that I stuck through the ribbon!
I hope you'll join us in this monthly challenge and enter YOUR summer creation!  We'd sure love to see you there!

One Sweet Challenge for Sweet Pea Stamps is using Die-Cuts or Punches!

This is my Creative Team entry for our Sweet Pea One Sweet Challenge Contest.  Our theme this month is a perfect one for June, "Die Cuts and/or Punches. There are so many possibilities available for you!  Your art can be anything you want, but you must follow the OSC rules and that month’s theme.  If you do not, your entry will be deleted.

I was lucky to use an image from the Sweet Pea Store called Sweetdreams by Katerina Koukiotis.  She offers images with wonderful shading and gorgeous refined lines.  I used Copics on her face and then used chalks for the background and to soften the hair.  I had some Heritage type papers in a perfect green and green/print that I used as accent banners.  In the image there was a light hair clip that I decided to put pearls on.  The die cuts that I used are actually ones that I received from a friend in white-I used copics to color them to cream and then accented them with a faceted Rhinestone.
On the inside, I continued with more of the green print paper and added a sentiment that would be wonderful for dear friends.
We can't wait to see your creations with the die-cuts or punches!  We are always so inspired with what you come up with!  Can't wait to see you there!

DeeDee's Digis sponsor us at Craft Your Passion-Anything Goes!!

This week at Craft Your Passion we are being sponsored by DeeDee's Digis and she is letting us use any image we'd like on our ALWAYS ANYTHING GOES Challenge!  We know how much you all like to enter those!  The Winner will get a $15 Gift Code to the DeeDee's Digi store!

Because of being given "free rein", I chose to use some great png digitals from Doodle Pantry, where I used to be on the DT.   These are pre-colored both image as well as the paper so it is easy to layer them on.  What with Father's Day coming up soon, and my hubby loving cars (think HIS Dad my have had one like this), I couldn't think of a more appropriate image to use.
At Craft Your Passion, the Challenges can be cards, dimensional crafts, fabrics, just whatever suits your fancy!  They are so great about supporting the Craft!  Check out our Challenges-we have great sponsors and great participation!  We can't wait to see what you create!!

Join in the Monday-Greeting Group Challenge at Outlawz! Creative Bug is Sponsoring us!

What a treat to be asked to be a Guest Designer over at Outlawz for the whole month!  The Monday-Greeting Group asked me to share in their posts and I was thrilled to do it.  This week's theme is Sporty (any sport applies) and they are being sponsored by Creative Bug. As you can see, this image is called Tabyna Turtle...So I had to expand on the RACE (that's Sporty, right?) between the Tortoise (turtle) and the Hare...  Isn't she a cutie?
I used some creative design paper from AdorniT that is double-sided.  I had this scrap that I was playing with and before you know it, I was turning it into an EASEL Card!
I colored the image with copics, computer generated the sentiment, added a pewter charm with baker's twine...another sentiment with foam dots raises the inside sentiment up so that it catches the bent front flap.  I added an embellishment that looks like an award ribbon with a metal accent and some colored wood flowers.  I was thinking that the inside paper with it's chevrons looks like movement and racing lanes on a track.  Well, you might be running kind-of funny!
I hope you will join in this weekly challenge and post your creation for all to see!  You'll get great exposure and a chance to win some prizes.  I look forward to seeing you next Monday, June 8th!
