We're skating towards Christmas over at All Dressed Up!

Swish...Swish...I can just hear this Christmas Skater dancing all over the ice, throwing up sprays of snow.  That's why I used a white feather to illustrate that movement!  This image from All Dressed Up is one of the latest digital creations of their resident artist, Wendy Burns.  This is one of four images that she has released for the month of November.
Here you can see a close-up of the embellishments I used on this card.  The background paper is actually silver foil snowflakes on a light pink paper.  I added a sentiment from a Christmas paper pack and then the white frosted poinsettia, pink roses with glitter touches and small pink rosebuds.

On the inside, there is frosted Christmas ornament paper with a perfect stamped sentiment wishing the recipient the best of Christmases.

Here's hoping you have the Merriest of Christmases and that you will come back often!

Monthly Challenge over at All Dressed Up !

It's time for the monthly All Dressed Up Challenge and we'd like you to join in the FUN!  You must use one of the many digital images in the ADU shop or one of several Freebies that you will also find onsite.
For my Design Team card, I've used an image called "A Cuddle Makes it all Better" which can be found here.  I used design paper that was in a "dog paper" series (that's grass on the bottom of the front) and also accented it with a paper fold butterfly and some epoxy dots.  On the inside, I continued the plaid paper and added a cardstock sentiment that was in the same paper series by Photoplay.
We'd love to see your creations and get more inspired.  Remember you have until the 14th of October to submit it for consideration to win some free images from ADU!

September's New Release from All Dressed Up-Featuring a Baby Card!

It's time to see the New Releases over at All Dressed Up for September!  We launch these on the 7th of every month but some technical issues caused me to be late, so my apologies!  This cute image is called "Little One" and is perfect for New Baby cards!  I decided to keep the colors soft and neutral so that it could be appropriate for either gender.  I wanted both design paper patterns to show so decided to shorten the front and make the Image hang over.
I added the checkerboard floor to the image just for some added interest.  Was so easy to do because the artist for ADU, Wendy Burns, makes everything angled correctly and in perspective so you can put your personal touch to your design.  On the inside, I used a cardstock sentiment that carried on the theme. I wanted to bring out more of the yellows in the card so I added a cluster of assorted flowers down in the corner.
Thank you for looking and I hope you will be back soon!

Hello and welcome to the August challenge at All Dressed Up Stamps where our theme, as always, is
Anything Goes with ADU image

The Image I used today is called Christmas Baubles and includes the main large ornament and also 2 smaller ornaments.  Because I wanted to enlarge the main bauble, I fancy cut all three ornaments and then hand drew the cords holding them.  I colored them using Stickles, Liquid Pearl White, copics and silver Hint of Stella.  I used a cardstock sentiment for the front and then heaped "snow" all over the place!  I added a different design paper inside and some sentiments from the same cardstock series.

You can also buy any of Wendy's amazing images from the All Dressed Up store-} here.
Now what could be easier than that?
We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will choose their top 3 creations.

An Encouragement Card Using All Dressed Up August New Releases

This week we have the August New Release images to show you from All Dressed Up-these are actually images that were pulled out of the store in order to be made into rubber stamps--then reintroduced as digital images!

I used just *1* of the group of 3 lady images from the Love To Shop digital stamp.  There are so many ways to use this stamp because you not only get them individually in the set, but also as a group!

I wanted to make her purse something special so I used her as a fancy cut image for the inside, aligning the purse to accent the front of the card through the circle I cut. I had to reinforce the arm with a piece of cardstock-I knew it would be opened and closed often so I didn't want it to tear.  I wanted to make this an encouraging card as I plan to donate it to the chemo Infusion Center that I use.  When
you have to go through this struggle, you still get real pleasure of seeing something beautiful.  You can see by using clear acrylic stamps from KKS, it helped with that theme.
Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the rest of the "repurposed stamps" on the ADU Shop site.

Christmas Elves from Sherri Baldy!!

This is one of my latest Christmas cards
using one of Sherri Baldy's latest releases:
Nixie Pixie Img 9, a darling, festive elf in some beautiful Holiday colors.
Colored with copics, I also used some white Flower Soft for the fur pompoms, and iridescent sequins for snow where the image indicated.  I used a Metallic ribbon along with a variety of white toned flowers as an accent in the corner.  It made a great display on top of the lavender and silver scripted Christmas phrases.
On the inside of the card, there's a complimentary Christmas paper and a cardstock sentiment for the Holidays.  I put a silver bling accent on it's corner.

Check out Sherri's shop site and browse through the categories-  you will find so many adorable images for all your card needs!  Thanks for looking!

New Release at All Dressed Up Stamps--It's POOL TIME!

It feels so good to finally have some energy to color and post images/cards on my Blog again!!!  Chemo really takes it out of you but I'm gradually feeling better.
This month one of the new releases over at All Dressed Up is called POOL READY- I just love the sleek lines she has!  I found out that I had a lot more ocean/sea papers and embellies than I thought so did some layering using papers, heavy textured cardstock (sand dune, sand dollar, and lobster), some paper lace for the splashing waves along with some stickles, and some cloud accents. On the inside, I like to finish the cards out so some beachy paper, with a cardstock textured sentiment and a cute little lobster.
We also have a month long Challenge going on where you use an ADU image for your entry.  It's crazy that you might not have one but, there are always some freebies to be found in the store.  I can't wait to see your creations!

All you need is FRIENDS over at ALL DRESSED UP!

We have a Challenge that began over at All Dressed Up this past Saturday, the 15th.  It runs for a whole month into July so plenty of time to get your entries in!!  We sure want to get inspired by all your creations--we would like you to use an image from ADU and if you don't have any yet, there are plenty of freebies in the Shop.
This was a special card that I used an image called Summer Tortoises --I love how they hitch along on a free ride, like they're helping friends out.  On the inside of the card, you can see that I made it into a friendship card.  As I've been battling a health scare recently, my friends have stood by my side and have sure cheered me up when I was down.  The main image is matted with kraft paper, then pink gingham, and then a gorgeous green print.  I used 3 colors of Novo drops as corner accents.  On the inside, I used a coordinating paper with a sentiment printed from my computer, edged with distressed Inks and again the Novo dots. Thank you for looking at my site-I hope you will return again and again.  I appreciate all your comments.

Everything Changed in April....

My apologies for the lack of posts during the months of April and May.  My attentions had to turn suddenly to my Health and what turned out to be a Cancer scare.  The first part of May, I reacted quickly to the Drs. finding cancer of the uterus with a "tag" of a rare MMMT cancer.  A complete radical hysterectomy was done and as of now, I'm cancer free.  We are going to follow up with a regime of Chemotherapy and radiation because this rare cancer is sneaky and likes to hide.
I appreciate the continued support of my blog and I'm looking forward to getting back to creativity with all my Design Teams.
Thank you for your prayers!  I love you all.

Spring is right around the corner-Time for flowers and Butterflys

This Image called Little Butterfly Girl is one of 4 new releases from the All Dressed Up Digital Design group.  I like to make the image the focal point, surrounded by beautiful Spring Design papers.  Makes so excited to be almost done with Winter!
I edged the finished image with a Tim Holtz Distressed Ink called Tattered Rose-it really picks up the pinks in the papers (the black showing is only the background cardstock I used for a neutral background).  On the inside, I used a bright yellow dotted paper with a cardstock sentiment card.  I accented it with some pink epoxy dots.
Many of the Gals on this Design Team are based in the UK.  Our resident artist, Wendy, has been working hard to bring us a fabulous selection of new release images this month. As ever, she has not forgotten that Mother's Day (Mothering Sunday) is celebrated in the UK on 31st March and there are some of these new designs will be perfect for this occasion. All these beauties are available in her Etsy store.
There's a current challenge going on at this location and we'd love to see your creations!!

Koala Bear Love ~ Sherri Baldy's Beautiful Image

There are so many uses for this image!  One of Sherri Baldy's Big Eyed Besties, cuddling up with 3 adorable Koala Bears!  I just love how her red hair turned out!!  Sherri always has such beautiful cascades of hair on her images -love 'em!
I colored her with copics-am still not very good with animal fur so often resort to little dots for some texture.  Love the ombre blue hearts against the red shiny hair.  The backside of this P e r f e c t  design paper is a washed blue so it made a perfect complimentary mat for the image. I've been wanting to use some of the lace appliques I recently purchased online, cutting them apart to make them fit the space.  Think they make the cards oh so feminine.
On the inside, I used some paper in the same blue with some script that looks like Love Letters and is accented with blue hearts!
We hope that you'll visit Sherri's Store to find just the right image for your special gift or project!

March 2019 New Release Over at All Dressed Up!

 Hello Dressy Fans!

Wendy, our artist in residence, has been working hard to bring us a fabulous selection of new release images this month.
As ever, she has not forgotten that Mother's Day (Mothering Sunday) is celebrated in the UK , the home of ADU, on 31st March and there are some new designs that will be perfect for this occasion. All these beauties are available now in the Etsy Store

The Image that I'm using for the new release is called Busy Street and there are so many variations of the same image being highlighted on the blog.  I used copics creating different store fronts-like coloring your own town!
There also a navy satin ribbon & bow that runs under the image.  On the inside I used the purple and black harlequin paper again, using a celebration stamp with some bling.

Don't forget we have two challenges running right now -
ending on the eve of the 14th March where it's always "Anything Goes with an All Dressed Up Image"
&
ending on the last day on the month.
The current theme is "Girlie Girls"
***Please remember your creations must use an
 All Dressed Up Image***

I hope you visit the All Dressed Up site and see all of our lovely creations!

Using Little Miss Muffet image by Sherri Baldy as a Get Well Card!

This cute "storybook" character is Little Miss Muffet from Sherri Baldy's Digital Collection found in her store.   I had to "girly up" the spider as I'm not a big fan of spiders...and here I am using one!  But with blush on her cheeks I think I will live..  After coloring her with copics, I mounted her on green cardstock to make her pop on the page (as well as some dimensional pop dots on the back of her picture).  Found the perfect designer paper in my stash which continues to grow when I'm not looking-don't know how that happens!  I ran a grosgrain blue ribbon under the image, tied it off in a bow and added blue "twinkle goosebumps"  made by Queen & Co. on the corners.
On the inside I used a rubber stamp I found in my stash and turned this into a Get Well card-the sentiment says "Heard you caught a Bug"  Perfect!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you will become a follower of my Blog and get inspired by cards for all occasions.

Spring Fling! Using Img 5651 from Sherri Baldy

Even though it's still February, Spring is right around the corner and I think this new image (#5651) from Sherri Baldy just reeks of
S P R I N G!!!
I used Copics, epoxy dots, rub-on stitches and Glossy Accents for the glasses. Good chance to use those edges along you paper sheets-this one had Spring Fling-Perfect!
On the inside, I used multiple papers and matted a sentiment that is on the double sided papers.  When you get these images from Sherri at her store link here, they are b&w images and your creativity can go wild-that's where the polka-dots came from!

Vintage Happy Birthday Card using Sherri Baldy's Sweet Lil' Things Img 5471

I'm using an image on this card from Sherri Baldy's "Sweet Lil' Things" collection.  This is Image 5471 and I did her in warm Copics and earthy hair colors.  Using 2 sided paper from KaiserCraft's Fairy Garden group, I was able to use them throughout the card.
I like to purchase laces and then cut out individual pieces from the whole that I can apply on the greeting cards that I make.  Great paper combination from Kaisercraft to keep the Vintage feel, along with the cream pearls.  On the inside, you can see more closely the 2-sided paper and then the sentiment gold accent.
Be sure and check out Sherri's shop where she has so many different Collections both characters, seasonal, themed images-each one unique.  There's also several digital paper groups that are so special!  She will be sure to have just what you're looking for!

All Dressed Up New Releases--Stars and Back

February 2019 New Release!

Hello Dressy Fans
Have you missed the new releases? Well they are back this month and they were certainly worth the wait!!! They are gorgeous images and here is my creation called Stars and Back From All Dressed Up
I colored the image with Copics, split the card background with complimentary dp.  The mesh type ribbon for the seam is sparkly with glitter, I added a metal word-Smile- and then accented that with some lavender wired gems-This was a great find in the bridal section of HL!  On the inside I used some Chevron paper that was a perfect color match!  I've been using some cardstock sentiments lately and think I found the perfect one!

At All Dressed Up, every month there are at least 4 new releases and then there's our month long Challenge which starts on the 15th of the month.  The images used must be an ADU one.  We would love for you to show us your creations and win!
