September's New Release from All Dressed Up-Featuring a Baby Card!

It's time to see the New Releases over at All Dressed Up for September!  We launch these on the 7th of every month but some technical issues caused me to be late, so my apologies!  This cute image is called "Little One" and is perfect for New Baby cards!  I decided to keep the colors soft and neutral so that it could be appropriate for either gender.  I wanted both design paper patterns to show so decided to shorten the front and make the Image hang over.
I added the checkerboard floor to the image just for some added interest.  Was so easy to do because the artist for ADU, Wendy Burns, makes everything angled correctly and in perspective so you can put your personal touch to your design.  On the inside, I used a cardstock sentiment that carried on the theme. I wanted to bring out more of the yellows in the card so I added a cluster of assorted flowers down in the corner.
Thank you for looking and I hope you will be back soon!

Using "Welcome Baby" image for the April Challenge at Paper Nest Dolls!

Well after a brief hiatus, I'm able to return to Paper Nest Dolls for the April Challenge, which we have every month on the 3rd.  So excited to be using one of the new March Releases called Welcome Baby.  It seems people are always wanting baby cards and I never have enough.  So it was a great chance to start building these up with these cute animals.
After coloring with Copics, I kept the background white-sort of Fresh looking!  Put brown, gray, blue and yellow epoxy dots as accents.  This mini dot design paper already had the heart edge so I used it as an accent also.  There's a brown & white check as a mat for the image-I decided to give them a gray paver street to walk on.  On the inside, I used a boyish style print that I thought match really well and stamped it with a sentiment from my stash.
I hope you will join us at the Challenge-we'd love to see your creations!

At 2 CuteInk it's a "Baby Theme" Challenge! Awwwww

It's an exciting time at 2 CuteInk because it's Challenge Time again!!  We are having a "Baby Theme" Challenge and we expect to see so many creations to ooooh and awwww over!!
 *************************************
This image from the 2 CuteInk Etsy shop is called Baby Eli the Elephant and looks good on either a baby boy or girl creation!  I think of "peek a boo" when I think of little babies and I guess that's when I decided to make a baby shaker card.
The pink "Structure" of the card is made from a pre-scored and cut card blank from The Paper Cut called the Scallop Circle Foldover Card in Basis Pink.  Then I placed a large Shake It Pouch from Impression Obsession through a circle cut from behind (it has a great adhesive edge that bonds really well), shook in some pastel assorted beads, and glued down an acrylic backing for my shaker.  I placed another cut out circle from The Paper cut over the front to finish off the look and added some rolled roses and felt leaves for a "girly" accent on the front.  Of course, because of the girly part, I HAD to spray it lightly with glitter spray.
On the inside, I scalloped some cute pink design paper and added the best feature of all, the digital image Eli from 2 CuteInk that I colored with Copics.
I hope you will join us for the Challenge and come out a Winner!

I'd like to enter this Shaker card in the following Challenge:
 Craftin Desert Divas-Shaker Project-4/26
Whoopsi Daisy- Flowers
Scrapbook Stamp Society - ATG/Mother's Day-4/26

Last post for Doodle Pantry! Lovely Baby Boy card~

I was getting this little baby boy's card finished up this evening and realized that I could still list it on Doodle Pantry!  The magic hour is at midnight tonight when the Ball will be over but, until then I can post 1 more thing~  It's from a set called Lucky Lamb and is so precious to be used for babies, springtime, Easter, St. Patrick's Day... very versatile.
I used the little butterfly paper from Lauries' Teeny Butterfly set, placed a sheer green ribbon over the end, popped the lamb up with foam dots, and used the curved sentiment from the set.  He has such an adorable face!
The inside I used a paper from my stash, some gorgeous glimmer cardstock from The Paper Cut called Bluebell, and then a vellum sentiment from an assorted page of baby boy sentiments.
I'm so thankful I have such a wonderful digital library compliments of super creators like Laurie from The Doodle Pantry.  Please continue to follow that great site and all the talented designers.  There's much more to come!

I'd like to enter this in Challenge:

It's BABY time at Squigglefly this week~Come play with us!

I'm using a favorite image of mine by Fawn Palmer, one of the many talented artists at Squigglefly--it's called Baby in a Tutu and is unique in that it's a "coming and going" image.  While I didn't use the second digi, it would be so cute!  I don't know what the draw is for paper piecing but I'm on a roll lately!  I started out with double images and then cut the arms, shirt, and head out of the second one.  I used this stretchy ruffled sheer ribbon and glued it around the tutu pattern, then layed the cut image over the ribbon with pop dots for dimension. I think it will make a nice card to parents of a child that's just beginning to crawl and into everything!  The Fun's just starting!  This weekend Squigglefly launched some terrific new images and they are so awesome-check them out as soon as you can!

Baby Boy Congratulations Card using Doodle Pantry!!

Friends of our sent the cutest Baby Boy birth announcement-he was sitting up in a fishing creel basket with a pole and a crocheted fish.  So adorable!!  The perfect chance to use one of the digital bundles at Doodle Pantry called Baby Shoes for my congratulations card~I fancy cut the shoes out and used pop dots on them.  All the patterned papers come with the set.  I used a Kraft cardstock from The Paper Cut as a mat-the color was perfect!

As accents, I used pastel blue dew drops and rayon seam binding.  This seam binding was originally in a dusty blue but I like to make it vintage looking sooo to do that, I cut a long length, place in a plastic bag, I spritz it with walnut ink, wad it up into a ball and seal up the bag. Later I take out the very kinked up "ribbon" and let it air dry, still in the loose pile.  You get a very variegated ribbon and it looks very vintage.  The inside shows another paper, one of the included sentiments and a cute pewter dragonfly brad.

Previewing a New Card Blank Design at The Paper Cut-the Double Hinge Card!

This is a new pre-scored card blank that will be sold soon in The Paper Cut store-It's called the Double Hinge card.  The pre-scoring takes all the guess work out of the equation and it's really easy to fold along the creases and holds it's shape!  The base color and mat that you see here are Basis Aqua and Gold Manilla File.  AND the adorable print I used is called Azure Mini Print and comes in several colors.  I used a Cheryl Alger Digital print on this Welcome Baby card and a baby clear acrylic stamp on the inside
_______________________________________________________________________________

To show you another version, I bring you a thank-you card using the same Double Hinge card blank from The Paper Cut!  They are so versatile-I used a digital card front that spans across the folded opening-it's adhered only across one side.  When you pull the opposite side out from underneath, I used the backside of the b&w front mat which is white and stamped LOVE on it. When the Basis Red card base opens, there's plenty of room to showcase your sentiment, a picture, a complimentary stamped image-possibilities are endless.
Over the next several days, I want to keep previewing different takes on this new style for The Paper Cut as well as some other folds that they will be featuring-be sure to check back to get some new ideas for 2014!  Thanks for looking!
