Mr. Spike from Doodle Pantry makes an appearance on a masculine Birthday Card

I'm working on some FUN cards this evening for Birthdays~I just love this cute bulldog called Mr. Spike!  The design paper, pre-colored image, sentiments, and bone accents are all from the set from Doodle Pantry called Mr. Spike.  I used some Chipboard letters, a button that had a red fire hydrant in the middle (couldn't believe my luck with that one!), and Crystal Stickles on the collar spikes.
The great thing about Laurie's' images is that since they're in png format, you can move all the parts and pieces around in your printing system and be ahead of the game by printing several images where you want them first, then add more embellishments afterwards.  Hope you will go check out her site!

Here's another card made from the same set with a different set of papers.  See how versatile it is?

Last post for Doodle Pantry! Lovely Baby Boy card~

I was getting this little baby boy's card finished up this evening and realized that I could still list it on Doodle Pantry!  The magic hour is at midnight tonight when the Ball will be over but, until then I can post 1 more thing~  It's from a set called Lucky Lamb and is so precious to be used for babies, springtime, Easter, St. Patrick's Day... very versatile.
I used the little butterfly paper from Lauries' Teeny Butterfly set, placed a sheer green ribbon over the end, popped the lamb up with foam dots, and used the curved sentiment from the set.  He has such an adorable face!
The inside I used a paper from my stash, some gorgeous glimmer cardstock from The Paper Cut called Bluebell, and then a vellum sentiment from an assorted page of baby boy sentiments.
I'm so thankful I have such a wonderful digital library compliments of super creators like Laurie from The Doodle Pantry.  Please continue to follow that great site and all the talented designers.  There's much more to come!

I'd like to enter this in Challenge:

Morning Glories blooming at Doodle Pantry And So Long to another Great Group of Gals!

This week at Doodle Pantry is called Flashback Tuesday-I fell in love with this set called Morning Glory Color and decided to use the sets' elements for a sympathy card.  Laurie's sets come with digital papers, sentiments, and accents.  The flashback is that this set now comes colored as well as the old b&w.  My "thing" is to do paper piecing and this set is so easy to do that way!  I printed each set of flowers and then, with foam dots, cut & pieced individual portions in different directions.  I love the way it looks!  I used one of the solid "papers" that are included as a mat to accent the flowers better.  You could even dot the petals with a little bit of diamond glaze so that it looked like dew drops!  I didn't really have the right colored purple ribbon so I used pink set against the blue=a pinkish purple...on the inside I had this very thoughtful sentiment that I like to use on this type of card.  I think it will express my feelings exactly-Doodle Pantry comes through again!

And it is a sad time as one more of my DT's is going on hiatus.  Laurie extended the 3 month summer DT I was on for several additional months and I'm grateful for that opportunity.  But, as she is wanting a break from the launches etc., she will take some much needed time for herself and her family.  The Sr. Design Team will stay on with her but hopefully in 6 months or so (fingers crossed), she will once again start building up her team again and I hope I will be one that she'll consider again.  I've loved all the wonderful sets that I've received and used and will continue to use on my cards.  She does beautiful work and was a super person to work with.  It will definitely be a site/shop that I keep on following as the shop will stay open-you never know when you'll see a new release posted!  So I wish her well, hope her creative juices will be restored and that she finds the peace she so deserves.  Thanks Laurie-Luv ya Bunches!

It's Your "BIRD-Day" at Doodle Pantry-come see your gift!

The neatest release from Doodle Panty is happening "TODAY"!  Every Tuesday, we have a new release with a discount on one particular set on that day!
I'm using the richly colored parrot image from Feathery Friends set and it's packed full of beautiful papers, sentiments and gorgeous birds.  I made a hybrid card where you digitally layer the parts from the set that you want (Laurie gives you both png and jpeg files so that you can print or create on the computer.)  Then you can add paper layers or, as I did here, embellishments to give that dimensional look.  I enjoy using all my ribbons, twines, stickers, photo turns, the list is endless.  A friend gave me the different shades of branch "punchies"-I used them to enhance the leaves in the trees.  The inside again is done using some of the different elements in the set.  It's nice not to have to go find something in your stash to match what you've already created--it's done for you and it "finishes" the card off so well!  I hope you will check out all the other sets on this week's release AND don't forget that the "Ants in my Pants" Challenge is going on all month!  Come join the fun!

I'm using the great set called Old Fashioned Candy and it has so many neat parts and pieces to it-I LOVE the design paper.  I used it in the background and then used the solid as ribbon stripes.  A touch of sheer hot pink ribbon and a bow and it's perfect for a friends' birthday!

Now this challenge lasts all month so you have plenty of time to visit Laurie's Store and see all her wonderful goodies and enter your great project into the contest.  See you there!

Some Valentines coming your way from Doodle Pantry

After recovering from the "sickies" this week, I feel like I'm back in the game!  I wanted to make sure I shared some adorable Valentine's Day cards with you from Doodle Pantry before the big day!
This one is called Little Girl Valentine and has so many adorable components to it.  I fancy cut the frilly girl coveralls because I wanted to create an unusual opening.  Using a card blank, I covered it with sweet heart paper.  Then adhered the outfit to the front and trimmed away.  The inside of the card I covered with some great b&w design paper from another set of Laurie's, attached a sentiment from the Valentine set and mounted a double felt heart to the corner.

Second NEW RELEASE today for Doodle Pantry-more opportunities to get some neat Sets!

I've found that I'm addictive to these new, gorgeous colors that Laurie from Doodle Pantry has been using lately!!  The teal/turquoise and purple is such a neat color combination, lol I've used it for several cards recently.  This image is called Bath Ants and, as usual, the kit is stocked FULL with papers, images, and accents!  It seems that a lot of sites have a theme for the new year that goes along with this set--relax with a nice warm bath and let your stress ooze away! The mats that you see were made from the solid papers-makes a great frame on top of the patterned paper from the set.  I only "had" to add some bling called purple goosebumps from Queen & Co. They are SO COOL!  The inside is very simple leaving lots of room for some notes of encouragement and positive thoughts for 2015!

This is Doodle Pantry's second Tuesday new product release for January 2015!
As always, these 4 new items shown below today are already marked down 25% off for you, but JUST FOR TODAY!
Also, it looks like AIMPDC1 participants are quite low... so that means chances of winning are GREAT.  We had wanted to try a themed challenge this year, but perhaps we picked a hard theme?  It is... Anything to do with MILK, creativity encouraged!  If you want to enter, check it out HERE
If you click into each product to view at the shop, you'll get a quick gallery of our Creative Teams creations to help inspire you!
LITTLE CRITTERS - This product is FREE with a purchase ONLY from today Jan 13 thru Monday Jan 26!   The style of these critters are the "Egg-shape" series I had begun last year.  I find this particular style to be very simplistic, yet whimsical and appeal to children of ALL ages (even some adults!).  I feel they also work well for baby cards.  So they are well rounded as far as applications they can be used for.  There are many more animals in this style coming in the new few months, so stay tuned.

Fallen leaves, Nature's Bounty at Doodle Pantry and The Paper Cut-a time for Sharing

I can't resist using the Fall images from Doodle Pantry for some Thanksgiving Day cards for friends and family.  The colors are so vivid and the composition that Laurie at DP puts together is so perfect!  This rural scene with a wonderful tree in all it's glory is from the set Harvest Bounty.  I chose to mat it with a matching orange cardstock, wrapped with some grosgrain ribbon and then mounted onto a gorgeous shimmery blue cardstock called Triton from The Paper Cut.  You need to check out that site for not only pre-scored blank card templates for those folding, moveable cards you see everywhere (such variety!) BUT they also carry amazing cardstocks in metallics, mirror stock, textured, flecked, and pearlized just to name a few!  Love 'em!  The inside of the card is a tone on tone print with gold leaves on a fall gold paper from The Paper Studio.  Stamp is from my stash and perfect for the Holiday connection with the family.  As the Holidays get closer, I hope you find time to unite with your family members and talk about the memories...

Turkey Day cards are warming up our hearts at Doodle Pantry!

I love this time of year when the leaves have turned and there's a crisp breeze in the air.  It won't be long before Thanksgiving Day is upon us and we're stuffing all those yummy goodies into our tummys.
It's a perfect time to use some of Doodle Pantry's wonderful images on my Fall cards.  The beauty of the digital images is that you can combine several different elements of several different sets to make a gorgeous creation.  The leaves come from the set called "Eat More Ham" and the Craft Star is from the set "Autumn Star" (Laurie from DP has several of these 'Star' sets).  Of course the digital paper, mat, sentiments, and the "ribbons" are all from Doodle Pantry!  A One-Stop Shop for sure!  I used some fall cardstock stickers with leaves on the inside accent over some Fall leaf papers from Paper Studio.  Be sure to stop by and let your fingers do your shopping!

It's Challenge Time at Doodle Pantry for November!!

I know that my card this time is a day behind the Holiday but I just wanted to share this design.  I'm using some images from the Doodle Pantry newly released set(s) called Circle Something 1 & 2.  There are so many elements to use that I couldn't just use 1 set!
I just love this small print background paper along with the 3 different printed trees and pumpkins.  The white one is from another one of Laurie's Fall sets.  Isn't the BAT Adorable??!!  I have many of the shapes elevated with foam dots for that dimensional look.  I also finished the inside with a sentiment from the series and think it's just the perfect saying!
Be sure to get your entry in for a chance to win-you've got the whole month to work on it!  There's even a free set of images called "Fancy Pie" with a purchase from the store.  Thanks for looking!

It's countdown time to Christmas at Doodle Pantry's Challenge!

I'm sure, like many of you, I'm asking where did summer go and how did Christmas manage to sneak up on me once again!!!  Well Doodle Pantry is on top of this Magical Season called Christmas and has given us so many cute images to use this month, including ones for the holidays!  The one I chose to use is called Gingerbread House Ants-yes, they are making a Holiday appearance once again!  Truthfully, I'm not sure if they are eating more than they are building!
The background dotted paper that comes in the set has red stickles on random spots and the solid gold paper in the set I used as a ribbon and a mat for the included sentiment that works so well with the image.  I love the intensity of the colors that Laurie from Doodle Pantry creates in her images! There's also some Lily White Glitter "sugar coating" by Doodlebug Designs on the roof and dripping from the edge of the house.
This day starts out with our launch of the new image sets but be sure to check out the Challenge at Doodle Pantry that starts at noon Eastern time and join in the fun!  There's even a free set w/ purchase offered-great way to build your Image Library up~see you there!

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring "Christmas" over at Fab 'N' Funky

These challenges themed for Christmas are at least getting me in gear to start working on my Christmas Cards !  Fab 'n' Funky challenges everyone to create a Christmas card so here is my entry using Winter Wishes from Doodle Pantry.  From the digital papers, sentiment and image in both a tan fence and red fence, It's all available from this great site.  I threaded a sheer ribbon though the card, added snowflake eyelets and used Flower Soft and Multi Crystal Glitter Mix from Stampendous for the snow mixture on the image.  Hope you will be able to join in the challenge-have fun!
