Challenge at ALL DRESSED UP STAMPS--Think Love...
It won't be long before it's VALENTINE'S DAY so I'm using this perfect ADU stamp "Be My Valentine" for the ADU's January Challenge.
Using Copics to color and shade the flowers and bird, I also Blinged the card up with lots of
iridescent sequins. In order to accent the flower feature, I cut around the group, showing off the intense blue dotted paper inside.
I crafted a pink heart to hide under the front cover and then used a stamp from my stash for the sentiment.
This is a month long challenge and there are ADU images for the winners, so get creating and inspire us with your creations! We can't wait to see them before February the 14th!
I'm entering this card in the Following Challenge:

Sami Stamps is Sponsoring Come and Get It Challenge. Theme is Love is In The Air!
What a very clever image of love this is from Sami Stamps called Happy Heart Fairy found here. We sure do have great sponsors over at Come and Get It and you can enter our latest Challenge with the theme of "Love is in the Air".
This horizontal beauty was such a fun, whimsical image and so quick to color and shade to put on a project--maybe that's because I knew exactly the paper I had on hand that would be perfect for her! As you can see I Love the combination of pink and black!! After coloring her. I edged the image in black, mounted the sentiment from my stash with a hot pink cardstock and added a black faceted flourish spray. On the inside liner, I wanted to see more of the b&w heart paper so that was the background. Using the P&B print as a mat, I used another stamped sentiment-this is so versatile in that it could be an Anniversary card, a Valentine's Day card, even a Birthday card.Come on over to Come and Get It Challenges and get an opportunity to wish a great prize from Sami Stamps! We can't wait to see your great creation!

Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion! Sponsored by Fabrika Fantasy this week~
As we wind up the month of January, Craft Your Passion has 1 more Always Anything Goes Challenge up it's sleeve! We're being sponsored by a new group this time, Fabrika Fantasy, and they've got some adorable digitals available for you. This one's called Dancing Squirrel and you get both the b&w and colored jpegs and pngs.
I've got a friend that this card will be perfect for her to give to her husband for Valentine's Day. They have a running joke about finding squirrel cards for all occasions and exchanging them. I tried to make it more "masculine" by using some barn wood paper, a touch of kraft mats, and the more creams/browns/blacks in the accent papers. The front sentiment is computer generated and on the inside of the card I placed a complete V Day sentiment, all the while using the color combo listed above. As mentioned before our challenges at CYP are always ATG--Fabrika Fantasy is awarding a prize of 3 digital images from their store to the chosen winner of the challenge! A great way to get to know them for sure.

Some Valentines coming your way from Doodle Pantry
After recovering from the "sickies" this week, I feel like I'm back in the game! I wanted to make sure I shared some adorable Valentine's Day cards with you from Doodle Pantry before the big day!

This one is called Little Girl Valentine and has so many adorable components to it. I fancy cut the frilly girl coveralls because I wanted to create an unusual opening. Using a card blank, I covered it with sweet heart paper. Then adhered the outfit to the front and trimmed away. The inside of the card I covered with some great b&w design paper from another set of Laurie's, attached a sentiment from the Valentine set and mounted a double felt heart to the corner.Tuesday, January 20, 2015

Seems a Little Sketchy is sponsored by Scribbles Design-I'm all about LOVE!

As a background on this Anniversary card, I used this deep red rose paper from The Paper Studio. Instead of the ovals, I chose the rounded rectangle and then a sheer printed vellum with red hearts on it. I realized after I took my pictures that there was an edge up on the sentiment paper-so sorry I didn't catch that! The inside liner of the card picks up the subtle blue edging on the front hearts- and it is covered with blue heart accents and lots of love phrases. I also placed one of my favorite sentiments on the inside with room for personal greetings. Come join us at Seems a Little Sketchy for this 2 week challenge-lots of time to come up with your rendition using the sketch. The great thing is that on the blog site at the top of the page are future challenges with the sketch pattern so that you can work ahead! Great idea right? See you there! Thursday, February 13, 2014
Squigglefly is looking for Square Cards-Easy Peasy!

Now, MY contribution to the"squarish" card LOOKS like a square card but it has a surprise. I'm using the Squigglefly image called Love is in the Air by Lynne Stansbery. It's a great swirly image with open hearts as you can see! I accented the movement lines some Icicle Stickles. This design was placed on a "Reverse Explosion Card" Blank by The Paper Cut. I used the Wild Cherry color-perfect for Valentine's Day! These are great pre-scored card blanks so it takes all the measuring and intricate scoring out of your hands~perfect! I also used 2 acrylic hearts as accents with pink baby ric-rac threaded through one of them. A clear sentiment sticker is in the bottom corner, leaving plenty of room for your own personal note.Monday, February 3, 2014
RED & PINK Challenge at Squigglefly this week! Can you say Valentine's Day?

I tried something new this time--striping the shirt instead of making it solid-I really like the effect. Mounted it on pink paper and then onto the bed of red roses paper. Because he was tall and narrow when I got done, I decided to create a little interest by narrowing the front flap of the card so that the "love sayings" paper would show through to the front. It's by MMBI called Love greetings and could be used for so many card ideas. I stamped HVD on a pink insert with enough room for a siggy and a personal thought. I hope all of you are sharing your love thoughts with those that you care about! Thanks for looking!Carolyn

Monkey Love & Eye Balls--What a Combination for a Valentine Card!
Well, since this evening is a bust with the Super Bowl, I'm getting some cards done! (Can't tell who I was rooting for right?) This is completely a cased card that a friend showed me and I had to try it! It involved those "googily eyes" that you seem to always have left over from say Halloween cards or monster cards for kids. Well I had several of those, so I made this Fun card! I used the Sizzix heart dies that I'd not opened yet to cut 2 different hearts out of a layer of kraft and Monkey love paper. Then on the inside I applied all the eyeballs and stamped Happy Valentine's Day. Maybe you will find some around your craft room and try this too! Have Fun!!Thursday, January 30, 2014
Show Your Love/Hearts to Squigglefly this week!
The challenge this week is Have A Heart, Please! Please use a heart on
your card somewhere. This could be a heart inside your image, a heart
embellishment, diecut hearts, heart printed ribbon, heart paper, heart
brad, or even a heart shaped card! Show us your hearts. You are welcome
to make a Valentine, but as the Hobbyists show you in their examples,
you don't have to have a Valentine theme. We'd love for you to use a
Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is
welcome to play along.
For this Challenge, I used a Pammie Lehto image called Will You Bee Mine? Isn't it just perfect for Valentine's Day? I've had this 2-sided paper I've been wanting to use with some of her Bee images called "Bee's Knees" by Echo Park; so on the inside I used the opposite side with blue background and bees flying all around and added a yellow Top Note insert for sentiment.
Remember this coming weekend, there will be a new release of images in the Squigglefly Shop so check them out. There's lots of Valentine images and sentiments already and, who knows, there may be more with the release!! Come play along with us and win an image if your entry is chosen!

Love Theme is the newest Hambo Challenge at the Hoedown!
Hambo's challenge for Hoedown #142 is to create a project with a LOVE theme - sentiments or images that show love (thinking more romantic
love here than a child/parent love.) Your image could be totally random
but tie it in with a sentiment, or vice versa.
Since I'm trying to rest my "tweaked" knee, I can still find some time to color up some fun images from Hambo for the contest! This image is called Snow Heart and is a favorite of mine. I love combining kraft paper and Anything! This image comes with several sentiments, 2 of which I used here. I used a snowflake punch in the corner thinking I'd like it to go all the way through. But instead, decided to back the punch with some more kraft. That's where I placed my handmade stamp. I used the remaining white punch as an accent under the sentiment. Thanks for looking and have fun playing! Monday, January 20, 2014
Clean & Simple at Squigglefly Challenge
While I find it a little hard to do a CAS card, I can say I was extremely happy that here at Squigglefly this week, that was the challenge. With a bummed up knee and in extreme pain, I was thrilled to use the digi stamp from a group of images called Snail Mail Max by Cheryl Alger. This talented artist is just one of MANY artists featured at Squigglefly. We are so lucky to get to use them! This is actually the postage stamp in the set. I blew it up, used copics on the coloring and then stickles on the background. Found these gorgeous bumpy, sparkly, gem-like buttons at HL in the sewing dept. made by sew-ology. They come in deep red and this delicate pink and in 2 sizes. I just cut off the plastic shank on the back and used a zot to attach. Was so happy to find these! Can't wait to use them on some Valentine's Day images that are coming up. Come and join us for the challenge this week-if you make an entry using a SF image, you could win a digital image of your choice. Thanks for looking!Wednesday, October 30, 2013
Southern Girls Challenge Features Milk Coffee Stamps!
I used embossed dotted swiss pink cardstock as the base of my card, with multi-colored embossed hearts on the top. The oval is framed with a gorgeous cardstock color from The Paper Cut called Basis Teal-it matched the hearts perfectly. I definitely will be making more Get Well cards for my inventory with this cutie! The sentiment is from my stash and is mounted with pop dots for dimension.Monday, August 12, 2013
Thank You Challenge over at Squigglefly!! Come join us!
It's crazy but I've never put a finished image through a folder and was kind of scared to take a chance on this pretty tree that I would mess it up doing so! But I absolutely adore the dotted swiss look!I made some scalloped roses using a die that I have and love the way they look-especially with the half pearls in the centers.
Please come and play with us at Squigglefly and take a chance on being selected to get a free digital image!

Thank you-Thank You-Thank You! Holly, it's your time at Squigglefly~
I'm very pleased to Showcase my DT entry for this week's Challenge at Squigglefly! Often times we let the opportunity go by in life to say Thank you to a Family member...a Friend...a fellow worker...a stranger that has done us or someone else a good deed. I've always felt that we just need a little more KINDNESS in our World to make everything "Right". Maybe joining us this week in our Thank You Card contest would be the first start for you! THEN, when you're done making it, you could send it off to someone who may or may not know that they made a difference in your life! What a wonderful thought! Like Paying it Forward~ That's how I feel about our leader here at Squigglefly, Holly. She does so much for all of us and makes us feel so welcome in her "Family". I'm so glad that I'm part of her great group of gals and she makes me feel Blessed every day.
For my card this week, I used a soft vintage feel flowered background print-I love these colors! One of the images at Squigglefly lately has been "Big Bear Heart" by Cheryl Alger. I COULDN'T resist making this lovable bear into a Wobble image. I'm always tempted to take a picture showing the blur of the Wobble but just figure everyone would just think I'd taken a horrible picture. From my stash, I stamped a sentiment and then threaded a grosgrain ribbon through the punched slots. The inside has a rose pink renaissance die cut with a sentiment attached.
