These are 2 different views of a 3D Valentine card that I had the most fun creating. Also featured on the front is a scalloped strip that I made a flower with and used a silk vine ribbon for the stem. There are foil accents on the paper as well as a shimmery heart pattern paper. I used cardstock stickers, matted and raised with pop dots. I am hopefully going to enter this in the "Just Us Girls" Challenge of making a 3D item! Wish me luck!

Just Us Girls 3D challenge entry...

My First Challenge Entry-WooHoo
This has been so much fun doing my first Card challenge that I wanted to share it with you. I used a SquiggleFly image colored with Copics, chalk pencils and Stickles set on popdots.
The challenge was to use torn paper so I tore 2 strips from BoBunny "Forget Me Knots", overlapped them on top of bright blue folded
cardstock and mounted a Coordinated paper circle ("Heart Attack").
Then I used a Curvy phrase banner set at an angle for accent. Inside I scalloped a white liner and set it so the scallops just show a little.

A LIttle something for the Men in our lives...
It seems when we make cards that sometimes we forget that our Men have Birthdays or want to know that they're thought of...Not that they'd admit it, right ladies? Well, my Husband is an avid fisherman and a collector of Antique Fishing Lures and he brought this point up to me not long ago. With that in mind, I want to show you a few that I designed and are for sale in my Etsy shop@ http://www.etsy.com/shop/luvmycards. I had the best time making them and found quite a variety in papers and cardstock stickers!
You'll find a lot of rich colors that you could truly use with Fishy Fishy paper or several Hunting scenes. The ideas are endless. The one shown here is a 6" x 6" size textured cardstock with a mellow yellow mat under the fish paper. Inside there is a cream liner that has a square stamped image that says You are my Sunshine. Now what guy wouldn't like that. I especially like the angled paper on the birthday one-create interest.

Great Beginnings!
What a wonderful way to end a busy work week-what with going to see Dailey and Vincent at a Bluegrass Concert and THEN, finding out that I had sold some of my Valentine Cards on Etsy.com After I had posted 20 some cards, I had a chance to look around at the other stores that were featuring handmade cards. Ladies, if you've never thought to travel to Etsy for ideas for your cards, you must try it. There are so many super artists online there! A great inspiration for us. This is one of my favorite cards for this Special Day--I just think it's neat the way it's folded and cut.
