Sherri Baldy's Birthday Bash-Come help us Celebrate!

As we are starting, I hope, to come out of the Winter doldrums and welcome Spring...at Color It Create It Show It Off, we are celebrating a month long Birthday Bash using Sherri Baldy's images!  Through out the month, we have several special colored creations that we want to share with you.  AND we want you to join us and share what are YOUR favorite images from Sherri.
My image is called Brittany and Mouse and can be found in Sherri's Shop.  It just made me feel like going Easter Egg Hunting so that was the focus of the papers and embellies!  The plastic hollow Speckled Easter Eggs I used were thin enough that I could cut them in half, then put 2 foam pop dots inside and hot glued them onto the cards-I then added sprigs of ferny branches.  It's stamped with a KKS clear stamp and perfect for the Spring wishes.  Then on the inside, I used the reverse side of several of the papers for a fun mat of a stamped sentiment from my stash.  I've indeed found many friends by joining the My Besties groups that were founded by Sherri Baldy. and am thrilled using her images and seeing the creations that everyone makes with them!  So happy to be here sharing in her Birthday Bash and hope you will join us also in the Challenge! I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
The Crazy Challenge-We Love Animals
Cards and More - Friendship
Paperminutes- Spring
Dare2BArtzy-Love
Digi Design Challenge-Die Cuts or Punchies
My Besties Aussie Challenge-ATG + Easter

Anything Goes at Come and Get It Challenge-Polkadoodles is the Sponsor!!

I always take a big breath when I know I'm going to work on a Masculine/Boys' card-I guess cause almost all of us don't do them very often....But they are really FUN!

This week at Come and Get It we are taking on that Challenge!  And, with the help of Polkadoodles and the use of their great image called Professor/Geek/Student, I've created a card I intend to send to our son.  He's a Chemical Engineer and gets a kick out of my creations!
Using some neat scientific paper, I mounted the copic colored image on top of a wood paper I used for the floor.  I added a strip of ribbon as a manly accent. On the inside, I used the reverse side of the lab paper--full of equations and formulas-perfect!  I added a sentiment/picture that actually comes in a set of different sentiment "blocks" on 1 sheet of 8x11.5 watercolor paper.  Cut apart, they offer a variety of sayings that finish off your cards and great in that you can personalize your creation again with coloring.
Come over and enter your creation and have a chance to win a prize!  We can't wait to see your wonderful project!

Theme Challenge at Crafting When We Can-Sponsored by Lemon Shortbread

This week at Crafting When We Can the Challenge is to find inspiration from this:
It could be the gorgeous colors, button, or maybe sewing theme--Or all three!  This image is from Lemon Shortbread and she has beautiful digitals of all kinds.  Check her out!  She is called Babydoll Dress Girl   and she is done with copics.  I teamed her up with this awesome paper that had several of the colors as well as spools of thread, scissors, sewing needle and on top of that, I used mini buttons as the centers of the flowers. To add a little more accent, I used rub-on "faux stitching" around the image.  On the inside is the reverse of the patterned paper-it is in a glowing orange with sewing patterns and advertisements.  I used a stamped thank you sentiment from my stash.
We would love to see your creations on our Challenge this week.  The Prize is a $10 gift certificate from the Lemon Shortbread Shop!  SEW get to work and show us your stuff!

Anything Goes
but you must use a All Dressed Up Image.
Not got any? There are some gorgeous freebies -} here.
But please respect the rules!
Or you can buy any of Wendys fab images from the All Dressed Up store -} here.
We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations.

I have an older Granddaughter so always like the selection of teen images that Wendy Burns offers at All Dressed Up.  This one is called "Just So Cool" and  who doesn't love listening to music!  I do apologize for the light exposure on this card-nothing I could do would give me a better picture!  I really liked the play on the denim mat, chevron paper, and micro dot navy paper with the mini red button accents!  On the inside the red chevron paper really livens it up and I stamped it with my large Happy Birthday stamp.  I think any Teen will love it!
We do hope you will find the time to play along - You have until the evening of the 14th to enter your creations

ATG Challenge at Color It Create It Show It Off--Win some Sherri Baldy images!

No automatic alt text available. We wanted to remind all our friends and followers out there that there is still a Challenge going on at Color It Create It Show It Off until February the 26th.  We always have Anything Goes Challenges so it's open to anything!!  You get a chance to win some of the great images shown on the Challenge site from Sherri Baldy-how great is that!

I chose to use this image from the MB Butterfly Dreams Stitched Love Pocket Letter Kit--Lots of smaller images BUT the great thing about digitals is that you can crop them from the page and make them larger!  With my card, I used this adorable girl in the pretty hat, matted her with some Loden Green grass weave paper, and ran this new ribbon rose mini down the side.  Gals you need to go to HL and get some of this-it comes with 3 rows along the length so with 12" you could conceivably 6 six in. square cards with no problem!  The curl of the rose is real close so I couldn't put in a pearl half so instead I used my liquid pearls to make my pearl dots!  I also put tiny pearls on the flower centers and the buttons down the coat.  Found this perfect striped design paper and stamped a sentiment along the bottom in Colorbox chalk. On the inside I used a floral paper and then one of the sections with the rose.  Then stamped a sentiment from my stash.  I can never have enough Thank You cards!
Please come to our Challenge and you will get so inspired from others and have the chance to do the same for others with YOUR creation!

Sami Stamps is Sponsoring Come and Get It Challenge. Theme is Love is In The Air!

What a very clever image of love this is from Sami Stamps called Happy Heart Fairy found here.  We sure do have great sponsors over at Come and Get It and you can enter our latest Challenge with the theme of "Love is in the Air".
This horizontal beauty was such a fun, whimsical image and so quick to color and shade to put on a project--maybe that's because I knew exactly the paper I had on hand that would be perfect for her!  As you can see I Love the combination of pink and black!! After coloring her. I edged the image in black, mounted the sentiment from my stash with a hot pink cardstock and added a black faceted flourish spray.  On the inside liner, I wanted to see more of the b&w heart paper so that was the background.  Using the P&B print as a mat, I used another stamped sentiment-this is so versatile in that it could be an Anniversary card, a Valentine's Day card, even a Birthday card.
Come on over to Come and Get It Challenges and get an opportunity to wish a great prize from Sami Stamps!   We can't wait to see your great creation!

All Dressed Up ~ New Release! Theme is Romance And or Red!

February 2017 New Release!!

Hello Dressy Fans :)
Welcome to the first new release images for 2017! And Wendy has done us proud again with more gorgeous images.
They are now available in the Etsy Store -}here

As you can see, I chose to use "Some Bunny Loves Me" and fell head over heels in love with it!  Using the color combination of Pink and Gray -Yummy- I also put some clear Wink of Stella over the dress, shoes, and bows for that beautiful Shimmer!  Then, using a large heart die, I adjusted it so that the bunny ear tips extended over the gray matted heart.  The reverse pattern of the raspberry polkadot is this flourished print that is the vertical accent on the card. Added some pearls at the top and bottom and stamped the SU word~Adorable~ at the corner.

On the inside, I used a Valentine Word/Sentiment paper and then stamped it with a KKS stamp in the corner--Lots of room for your own personal greeting!
Don't forget we have two challenges running right now -

Our Blog Challenge
ending on the eve of the 14th

and our Facebook Challenge
ending on the last day on the month.

Theme of Flowers at Crafting When We Can-Sweet Escapes Digis is sponsoring us!

This week at Crafting When We Can is so special because we are being sponsored by Sweet Escapes Digis  and they have a great collection of digital images in their Etsy store.  We are using the Theme of Flowers and this image I'm using is called Ella.  She is a full sized image but I wanted to accent her beautiful face and upper collar so enlarged her that way--the joy of going digital!  I used dimensional pop dots under her to bring the attention to her.
I love the "burnished" look of her red hair and how it compliments the Teal coloring of her dress!  I just so happened to have this Graphic 45 printed paper that has all the colors in it and matched so well!  How lucky is that!!  You'd find it hard to believe that I fit this all on a 5.25 sq card!  I put a light blue mat cut very close behind her picture to lift it from the busy paper.  In the flowers, I used several different sizes and shades, pulled from the coloring.  Then I glued a butterfly on for even more accent.  On the inside liner, I reversed the Graphic 45 paper and had a complimentary design paper with a retro kind of cut on the verse from my stash.  think this will make a wonderful Birthday card for a dear friend!  We hope you will come join us for this great challenge-We can't wait to see YOUR creation!

Guest Designer at Besties International-Theme is Reds and Pinks for the month of LOVE!

I'm feeling so blessed to be asked to submit this card for the February Guest Designer at My Besties International Challenge Blog!  There are SO many talented people that post gorgeous projects there that I'm truly humbled.
I chose to use one of Sherri Baldy's "Pocket card Sheets" and this one is called Bestie Party Paper Pocket Letter Kit-whew that's a mouthful!  It can be found here in the Sherri Baldy Shop .  It has so many panels to either adjust to a larger size or, like I did here, use multiple sections.  I used 3 different ones and matted them, edging with cat's eye chalk.  I popped the center one up with dimensional foam dots.  I did add some additional depth to the cutie pie in the center with my copics but otherwise, it was so handy to use pre-colored!  I mounted them on a GREAT Sherri Baldy style paper (crowns with glitter!) and wrapped the end with a soft pink grosgrain ribbon.
On the inside liner,I used a strip of said crown paper and another matter pocket card-this time stamped with a rockin' good sentiment for the Birthday girl!  Please come and celebrate with us at My Besties International Challenge-the theme is reds and pinks-how perfect for the month of Love!  Thanks Gals for the privilege to show my design on your fantastic Challenge board!
