It's Almost Christmas over at All Dressed Up Stamp Challenge

It is almost time for the All Dressed Up Stamp Challenge to begin and for you to share your creations with us!  I can't wait to see them and to get inspired!

As crafter's, we always look ahead to future seasons when we make our cards.  Or at least I do!  That's why I chose to use the ADU image called "Christmas House" for my DT project.  I fell in love with the gorgeous decorations on the door and entryway.

As this image only includes the arched unit and step area, I used a brick stencil and some Charcoal ink to create a surround for the door.  I love the look during the Holidays of pinks and silver accents so using copics, white and pink liquid pearls, and silver metallic marker, I created my winter wonderland.

The stiff background cardstock has silver glitter swirls like snow, banks of snow in front of the stoop and a ribbon and bow in soft pink/glitter to finish off the look of the card.  The interior is also finished off with lots of room for messages and/or sentiments.

Thanks for visiting today and please join us over at All Dressed Up Stamps for our month long Challenge.  You too could win images from their wonderful Shop to use on your own Christmas Cards!

Happy Fall Y'all and it's time for Pumpkins at All Dressed Up!

It's almost time for Hayrides, bonfires, beautiful leaves falling down in our yards....AND, the NEW RELEASE from All Dressed Up Stamps!

My creation is called Little Pumpkin and I LOVED coloring her up!  You see, my husband and I grow pumpkins over the summer on our little Farm and we have them for sale on our front yard in the country.  So this is a perfect image for my Fall card.

I used a Ginko leaf stencil for the background, free-handed some green hills and used Fall colors throughout.  I turned her into a Birthday card as you will see in the inside.  Please check out the other seasonal designs in the Shoppe and Happy Fall Y'all!

You're GNOME-azing from POLKADOODLES- Adorable

I'm sure that you Crafty Folks LOVE Gnomes the same as I do!  Think it's just that Huge nose and full beards that just gives me a chuckle!  I'm thrilled to use my first Gnome from Polkadoodles called "Your Gnome-azing".  She's in her garden which is just where I like to be.  I used a combination of soft and deep colors on her, adding a "woven" look to her hat.  In addition, I used one of Polkadoodles many metal dies called Flower Flourish.  This die comes with solid as well as a filigree cut, so 6 flower sizes and shapes-very versatile.  I finished my flowers with buttons in the centers. After I aged the image with light brown ink, I matted it with blue cardstock and mounted it to one of the many paper packs found at PD!  This pack is called "Soft & Scrumptious" and IS Gorgeous.
There are so many crafting supplies at this great site, please check them out!  I think I have more GNOMES in my future.  They have a six new characters out right now and more to come.

Serenity Fairy Joyful polymer stamp-showcasing for Polkadoodles

My latest card for Polkadoodles is called Serenity Fairy Joyful and is so whimsical and dainty.
I used the largest 2 dies from PD Craft Die-Stitched Circles for around the image as well as an accent color.  What I like about these dies is that EACH circle has a different type "stitch" around the outer edge.  Makes them really pop!
Off-setting the circles, it gave me a base for the flowers around Serenity.  I used Dies Super Sprigs and Flower Flourish:
The PD paper pack that I used is amazing called Adalene French Vintage Craft Papers-done in soft plums and vintage prints. I love using papers made in the UK in addition to the ones I have normal access to--such variety! The sentiment is from PD Spring Rose stamp set.

Serenity was colored using all Copic Markers and here is the List:
Skin: R000, R00, R01, R02, RV10, R81
Hair: E41, E42, 43, 44
Dress: Y21, YR31
Butterflies: BV01, B91, Lavender Stickles
Flowers: Gelly Roll 10, Gold Liquid Pearls

Thank you everyone for looking at my latest card project-there's many more to come!

Cupid's Heart from All Dressed Up Stamps is a Thank You Card

Our Challenges over at All Dressed Up Stamps are Always Anything Goes, as long as you use an ADU image.  For the Challenge this month, I used Cupid's Heart as a Thank You card.
Coloring her with copics, I tried to keep the shading real soft for a light color.  I used Gold Wink of Stella for the Bow and assorted sequins, facets, and glass beads for color accents.  There is a white sheer ribbon wrapped around the front of the card, ending in a bow.
I finished the inside with a heavy stock of pink hearted paper and a sentiment that comes with the coordinated papers.
You have until October 14th to get your creation in our Challenge so please join and let us ooooh and awwwww over it!

All Dressed Up Stamps is looking a little FALL..ish!

I'm so happy to feel some cooler temps here in Illinois!  And while we're gathering pumpkins to sell from our garden, it makes my thoughts turn to Fall!  This image from All Dressed Up Stamps called "Feeding the Ducks" made me color her with copics in Fall colors.  She can be found here.  I fancy cut the image, as well as the ducks, so that you could see all the Fall design papers I used.  I also used a Fall sentiment from my stash along with 2 Epoxy dots.
On the inside, I finished it off with a tan polka dot paper and a Thinking of You  digital sentiment from my stash.  I'm so happy with the way it turned out.  There are SO many more Digital stamps over at the ADU website so please go check them out!

Polkadoodles Winnie is out Shopping Again-Using a "Wobble"

Thank you for joining me today for my post for Polkadoodles!  I'm using a great Winnie image called Winnie Sunshine Delights-Busy AND I made her into a Wobble Card...EEK!

In coloring her up, I used my favorite go to-Copics.  You can see the list of colors used at the end of this post.  Using the PD paper pack of In Love with Autumn, I created a scene with some of my favorite colors.  Created a little pathway using a stencil-and that is what she "wobbles" on as she goes shopping.  I also cut out individual leaves from one of the designer papers to create the effect of them blowing around. When she is touched, the wobble device makes her giggle left and right-I tried to capture the motion in the attached picture.  I added some epoxy dots on the banners and finished the inside with leaves and dots also.  Stamp is from KKS.

She is being featured today on the Polkadoodles website here: https://polkadoodlescraft.blogspot.com/2020/09/create-card-with-winnie-sunshine.html?mc_cid=e23ec8f893&mc_eid=5606d4026c

YR01, YR02, YR00, YR18, 21, 24, 31, Y32

Horace & Boo from Polkadoodles are heading for the Garden

I'm visiting with my friends over at Polkadoodles again...this time with Horace & Boo with their Wheelbarrow found here. They're in the Garden and have a full load, complete with a mouse!

There is so much detail going on with this digital stamp that I almost got out the colored pencils.  But I used my trusty Copics -I had fun making the dog into a Dalmatian.   Using the In love with Autumn paper pack, I pictured them walking down to the vege garden, looking for the last of the yummy goodies of the season.  Just like we are doing at our house.

I used a scrap strip of yellow polka-dotted paper, stamped a friend sentiment on it and put a bronze ribbon slide on it and used it as a banner on the print.  I felt it was a great time to use my highly popular cloud stencil as a backdrop. I'm so in love with the fluffy look of this!  I then added some orange jute twine along with some wooden stars and popped the whole creation up on foam dots for some dimension.

On the finished inside, again using the Autumn papers, I kept it simple with a paper stripe in the corner and a simple friendship sentiment from my collection.

Thanks for looking at my Polkadoodles creation-Come visit us again soon!

Love is up in the Air for All Dressed Up Stamps' Challenge

I knew when I first saw the image "Wedding Balloon" at All Dressed Up Stamps that I had to use it to build up my Engagement/shower/wedding cards!  It's so beautiful by Wendy Burns!

Not only are the couple "floating" in the clouds, but so is the paper they're stamped on with the use of pop dots.  Using the newest clouds stencil on the market, I've been having a ball making my backgrounds.  I need a little more practice on them but I love the puffiness of them.  *On a side note, I feel a kinship with hot air balloons.  The Blanchard side of my heritage is best known for being the first hot air balloonist in France-his "contraption even had a set of large Wings attached for "lift"? I guess.  I've seen many illustrations of his balloon in our history pages and on retail merchandise even.

On the inside, I used floral cream and pink paper to coordinate with the front.  I used a sheer sticker Love sticker then I add some absolutely gorgeous, heavy, embroidered lace that is accented with sequins and pink satin thread. What a finish to this card-I hope you like it as much as I do!

Winnie from Polkadoodles is on the Beach for One last time!

Many of us across the country are trying to get one last trip to the Beach, a vacation if you can find a place open, time with the Family.  Well, Winnie, from Polkadoodles Stamp and Papercrafting Co., wants to get some sun and rest before heading back to work or school!

I used Copics to color her image from the Polkadoodles Shop called Winnie Starfish/Sandcastle- Relaxing Sunlounger -What FUN! I used some of the copic florescent colors so it would show off her "tan".  Matted her on some "wavy" paper and then used some papers from the Digital Mermazing Ocean Papers that Polkadoodles also carries-see the fish in the blue paper? These are so easy to print out any time that you need them.  The cute sentiment is also digital and is from a collection of FREE phrases and sentiments offered on their website.  I attached an blue epoxy dot and edged it in turquoise up in the corner.  A little bit of satin ribbon from my stash and she's complete!  I finished the inside with some soft yellow paper, just waiting for a verse or greeting as the need dictates.

Thank you for taking a look at my fun beachy card-I had such a good time creating her!

It's time for a ZEN moment with All Dressed Up Stamps' New Release

We all know that slimline cards are all the rage right now~ That is the format that I used for this New Release from All Dressed Up Stamps.  The image is called Reach High and can be found in the shop here.

I made my base out of standard cardstock, with a few cuts.  I wish I could claim this background as my own; however, it is a digital print that I had saved on my computer.  I colored the image with copics, then fancy cut it out to apply to the paper.  I had this neat "space" like paper so used it for the yoga mat and the "sun" sentiment mat.  The sentiment and yoga mat are both from TGF digital files and are saved as png's. On the inside, I used embossed hand made paper in a random bubble pattern. There are 2 dimensional stickers for the greeting.

There are 4 new releases from our Artist in residence, Wendy Burns--you need to check them out right away!

Starting to see some Fall Halloween images over at Polkadoodles!

Pretty soon our thoughts will be turning to Fall and Halloween!  Polkadoodles Stamp Company has so many Images that will fill your needs in their shop so please check them out!
This image is called Amelia Witch- Toad and can be found here.  She's got a jar of wet, slimy eyeballs in her jar, like she's going to be casting a spell on that Toad by her foot!  I colored her with Copics, used a digital Halloween paper in the background along with a full Moon over her shoulder.  Adding some dyed Schiff rayon bias tape in wine color, I wrapped it around the bottom of the card, tied a cluster bow and glued some black glossy beads to it's center.  The inside is finished as always with a complimentary paper-this one I left blank, no sentiment, in case I need it for a Birthday, Thank you, or Happy Halloween!
Maybe if we think about the Fall Season it will get cooler!  It sure has been hot here in the Midwest!  Thanks for stopping by!
You can see the step-by-step process I used to get to this end result of Amelia on the Polkadoodles Crafting Post here: https://polkadoodlescraft.blogspot.com/2020/08/create-spooky-project-and-get-organised.html?mc_cid=7819814218&mc_eid=5606d4026c  .   Hope you enjoy!

A Final Farewell to Southern Girls Challenge-Thanks for the memories

Several years ago, I was thrilled to be on the Southern Girls Design Team.  They were based in New Zealand and Australia and mostly had teamies from those countries.  So, imagine my surprise when I was asked to join them!  And it was a great friendship and experience for me.
I was saddened to hear recently that they will be calling an end to the group now, years later, but are having a Great Get-together for one last time with as many DT members as they can locate.  We were all asked to submit one of our favorite projects for SGC and this one, using an image called Emerald Fairies, was my submission.
I had fun putting her on a triple step card base!  It's amazing to see how I've grown artistically since that time and it was from DT's taking a chance on me and letting me get more and more experience with them that made that happen.

So Lou and Tracey, I wish you both all the best going forward.  I'm sure no matter what you will be doing, it will be a success and will fill you both with Blessings.  Thank you again for believing in a gal from "Southern" Illinois long ago and for giving me a chance!  You were the Best and I wish you well.

I Heart Dogs over at the ATG Challenge @ All Dressed Up Stamps

July 15th is the start of a New Challenge over at All Dressed Up Stamps!  It's always Anything Goes, as long as you use an ADU stamp and Wendy Burns, our artist in residence, has a Slew of them in her shop here.
The image I chose to use for this challenge is called I Heart Dogs.  I'm ok with cats BUT I'm really a dog lover.  We have boxers and love the big dogs, which is funny since back in the "early" days, we raised AKC Shelties.
I realize this card is rather busy but I liked all the papers I had on hand for doggies, that I ended up using most of it!  I put a paw print paper across the top to break up all the main print-but I don't think I helped at all.  This image comes with a banner and 3 dogs so I used the dog with a Ribbon Award on it's neck on the front.  I also finish the inside of my cards.  For this I used a barn-wood paper and fancy cut the dog house, mini banner and other 2 dogs from the main paper and created a little scene.
I'm sending this to a dear friend, only she has 4 dogs and NONE of them resemble any that I colored!  She will still love it and You will too if you choose to use it.
Our Challenges are so much fun and we'd love to see your creations!  You have until August 14th to get your entry in so that you have an opportunity to win some All Dressed Up Images!!!
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

We're getting BEACHY over at All Dressed Up!

It's time for the New Release over at All Dressed Up Stamps and you can tell I want to be at the Beach!  The image I used is called "Bucket and Spade" and I think she's adorable!

This is only my second SLIMLINE card and I think I'm getting the hand of it~ after cutting my white base, I added this summery paper that already had the "washed, painted look" on both ends.  Perfect background!  I colored her with copics and then used 2 scenery stamps from KKS to make the Palm Trees, Sunshine, clouds and waves of sand-also the Sunny Days stamp.  I was a stamping fool on this one but it gave me a chance to try the technique of masking the image so I could stamp over it!
Before I stuck the image down, I wrapped turquoise and white bakers' twine around twice and added 2 charms, a seashell and sunglasses.

On the inside, I finished the card with the same background paper and used a flip flop stamp and sentiment to complete the card.  There are a total of 4 New Release image from our artist, Wendy Burns, so make sure you visit the ADU site to check out the other ones.  You'll fall in Love!

***I decided to jump onboard the "Slimline Card" train and try my hand on one-they are a lot of fun!  The image I used from All Dressed Up is called " I Love to Bake".  I added the black and white checked tablecloth, the pennant banners from KKS using a stencil and two of their rubber sentiments.  As this was my first SL card, it was a little awkward at first but it won't take long to get the hang of them and make several! On the inside, I was already to add a floral print with a black background when I happened to turn it over and found the b&w hounds tooth pattern!  What a perfect piece to use.  I'm so happy with this addition to my Birthday Card Stash!

And Relax.......

All Dressed Up, as part of it's New Release, partnered with Kit and Clowder, providing them one of their newest images called And Relax.  It's just what we need to do in this crazy world of ours!

The image of the girl meditating is what can be found in the ADU Shop.  I added to the scene with png images of a yoga mat, a blank window, a floating candle shelf, and a potted plant.  These wonderful images were from downloaded digital files I ordered from TGF.  I used some paper for the wallpaper from a Honey Bee Stamps paper pack.  The TGF window I embellished with a hand drawn outdoor scene.  The baseboard was cut in a strip from a wood panel paper.  The sentiment is part of the image from ADU.

On the inside, I used a golden parchment paper and stamped the rainbow and sentiment from Gina K's stamp set, Be the Rainbow.  A saying I'd like to think I try to live by: "Be the rainbow in someone else's Cloudy Sky".

Hope you have a wonderful day and be sure and check out this image as a free drawing page on the K&C website.

Featuring Stay at Home image from All Dressed Up-New Release Day!

Awww, Home Sweet Home....It's got a whole new meaning to us as a Nation, doesn't it?  Here in my State, we are still being asked to shelter in place and it definitely is getting a little old.
But like this sweet image, I love to read and my animals are always around.  So between that and working out in our rural garden, we are passing the time in a productive manner.
This Image called Time to Read can be found here in the All Dressed Up shop.  It's one of the new releases that we are revealing today from artist Wendy Burns.  This image includes the chair, reader, cat and dog.  I say this because I got a little creative and decided to do some paper piecing and using some other png images, I colored and fancy cut them and incorporated them into the "scene".  The rug, plant and framed picture on the wall all came from purchased scene builders from TGF.  The wallpaper is some complimentary paper and then I added a baseboard, moved the pieces around and created something that we can all relate to!
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment that works well with the setting.  This was a lot of fun to create-I'm hoping that you'll try it sometime with Wendy's images.  They come to you in a png format so you're able to move them around in your printing program and bring them forward and put them behind to create depth.  Let us see YOUR creations now!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
