The Last Hurrah at Come and Get It Challenges

Hi everyone, we are back with some more inspiration from our fabulous Design Team and Guest Designers for the last Hurrah as they say. This is our final challenge at Come and Get It which is sad, but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we have no choice but to close the challenge. It has been a great 6+ years bringing challenges to you every week.

We would also like to at this time say thank you to all the sponsors we have for this challenge and for all the challenges in the past, without you this challenge would have been gone years ago. Anyway I hope you all like our inspiration for the challenge and you can find the link to enter the challenge below. We will be back on January 8th to post the winners and will give the winners 2 weeks to claim their prizes. and then we will be closing the doors. Thanks again to all of you for participating as well.  This has been  wonderful time for me with these designers and I will truly miss them tremendously.
I used a design from the company Cute as a Button and it's called Ski Lift.  Kind of looks like my Granddaughter!  I used a couple of design papers for the Christmas Tag and then colored her with Copics.  Added some white Flower Soft for the snow and then white eyelets for snowflakes.  Then topped it off with some pink satin ribbon .
If I've met you crafters along the way through this great Challenge website, then I'm thrilled.  I've always been excited to be here and using all these terrific sponsors.  I hope to see again along life's highway and in Crafty Land.  Thank you all for supporting our efforts through the years.  We will miss hearing from everyone of you.  'Til we meet again!

Using a Christmas image over at the All Dressed UP Challenge Post-come on over!

I'm having so much fun making up some Christmas cards with all the wonderful digital images over at All Dressed Up!  The one I'm using for this card is called Happy Christmas Little Star.  She looks so festive with green "velvet" dress, red shoes and wings with a Wink of Stella in clear sparkle.  After using a great paper with evergreen wreaths, I used a red sheer bow and gold glittered sprigs accents and 2 deep red faceted gems in the corner.  On the inside, I used a paper printed with a Christmas song and a heavy cardstock printed sentiment for the Holidays.
Our Challenge for the month is ready and waiting for your creation and we are waiting to get inspired by you!  Thanks for stopping by!

Reminder there's a Christmas-ATG Challenge over at Color It Create It Show It Off

With this little cutie, I'd like to remind you that right now there is a Challenge going on over at Color It Create It Show It Off.
We welcome you to use whatever medium you wish and whatever image you wish. We the design team create with our sponsors image My Besties, but you are welcome to use anything. Our new Challenge for this month is Christmas/Anything Goes.
I'm using Mr. Snow man Scan 0046    and I love all the little details on him!  To bring out the red accents on him, I matted it with a Christmas stripe and then used as a background a shiny paper that looks like some of the white has been scratched off down to the shiny silver-I love it!  I added some white flower soft for the snow drifts on the bottom.  The different accent on the card is some light blue jewels that are hanging like melting snow, like on the pot handle, glove...can you spy the other places?  Well, you've got lots of time to show us your creations at our challenge-we can't wait to see them!

New Release Time at All Dressed Up--It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

I'm so excited to be using this new image of Wendy Burns' from All Dressed Up for the Debut of the New Release for December!  It's so warm and cozy and will be going out to a special couple for the Holiday from my Hubby and me.  I just love it!
I used a vintage like package paper in the background and used sheer ribbon on the corners to look like IT was a package!  After coloring with Copics, I matted the image with a bright green glitter paper-I'm sorry the light isn't picking it up very well.  I used a Christmas stamp from KKS and added a pearl accent on the sentiment.  On the inside I used a favorite Cable Knit sweater paper for one side and on the other side, the present paper again.  I used another KKS stamp and accented it with a snowflake.
There are always 4 new release stamps for the month and this months are so adorable-be sure and check them out on the Challenge.  Be sure to add your entry to the challenge-you get a chance to win some of Wendy's great images.  We can't wait to see your creations!

It's the Start of my Christmas Cards with Paper Nest Dolls-Have you started YOUR list??

I'm so excited that Christmas soon will be here...and a little terrified that it's closer than I think!  I love all the lights, trees, ornaments, family traditions...It's all part of the Magic.
I love this image from Paper Nest Dolls called Tree Dress Avery and she's helping me get my cards made for the Holidays.  I'm sorry that I couldn't get the lavenders and pinks to show up on this card as well as I wanted to but, her tree dress is so pretty with the pink and lavender ornaments and shimmer with a Wink of Stella clear.  I've been on a Frantage kick lately-hope it doesn't get snow heading our way!  There is a lavender Christmas Sentiment paper in the top half of the card and the bottom is a matching paper in beautiful ornaments of pinks, whites and soft purples.
On the inside is another ornament paper in the series and a stamped sentiment from my stash.  I hope this card will inspire you to start on YOUR cards also and take a trip to the Paper Nest Dolls shop to see all the delightful Holiday / Seasonal images that are available-  Best Wishes!

New Challenge for December at Paper Nest Dolls-Cocoa and Snowflakes-It's Winter!

There are so many adorable Christmas images over at Paper Nest Dolls that it's never hard to find one that you love to work with!  For the Challenge this month, I've chosen one of Christine's new digital images called Hot Cocoa Avery.  Yes, that's right, She not only has Stamps but Digis also!  Love them as you can adjust the images to suit your needs.

I had some paper that had red, swirled, embossed glittered accents on it--well it matched her gorgeous red Velvet? dress with the candy cane stockings so well.  I matted her image with black to make it stand out then tucked in some snowflakes from the edge of a full 12 x 12 sheet underneath the Doll.  Then I colored the light evening sky in some lavender hues, added spots of snow and made some snow drifts around her boots with white Flower Soft.  I always finish the inside panel of my cards and this time I used one of my favorite papers-it looks just like a cable knit sweater-perfect for snowy days!  I used a fairly large Christmas stamp-new this year that says Peace on Earth.  I hope it warms someone special this year and sends them love.

The Last Month for the Come and Get It Challenges--join us in the last Hurrah!

This is a beautiful time of the year for us to share our creations with you from Come and Get It Challenge Family...but this month it's a little bit different for us on the Design Team.

You will notice on the Challenge site we are joined on the 3rd and on the 17th by past DT members also, to celebrate the Final hurrah of this Great blog site.  Yes, this month will be our last month sharing with all of our followers.  Due to unforeseen  circumstances, the 2 great leaders of our group, Cindy and Julie, have to close the website.  I know that all of us will see each other again in this crafty world-they have been wonderful to work with for all of us.

So this is my first contribution, using Polkadoodles' Hollybobs Mistletoe.  He was delightful to color and create with, as have been all the Polkadoodle images I've been thrilled to receive in the past.  I liked coloring him with copics in some "boyish" colors like grays, burgundy, navy, and greens and browns. Paired with an accent of red plaid paper, a chipboard sentiment and white dimensional poinsettia, I loved using the vintage red sentiment papers with this square card.
For the inside, I used a pattern of dots-reminded me of snow but in colors of grays, white and burgundy.  Another Chipboard saying is perfect for Christmas.
Remember there are lots of prizes to be won because of the multiple sponsors this month--We would love you to join us for our challenge.  We have all appreciated the loyalty to our site and have loved seeing all your beautiful creations.  Be sure and participate in the Challenge on the 13th also.  We want you ALL to be there with us.  Thank you one and all.

Christmas/Anything Goes over at Color It Create It Show It Off! Do I hear Jingle Bells?

Over at Color It Create It Show It Off Challenge we welcome you to use whatever medium you wish and whatever image you wish. We the design team create with our sponsors image My Besties, but you are welcome to use anything. Our new Challenge for this month is:
Christmas /Anything Goes
If you use the theme of the challenge you have an more chances to win some images from My Besties.  I'm using Img 906 and I think of her as waiting anxiously for Santa coming down the Chimney.  She was colored with Copics and I love the look of her Stocking Cap with the Holly trim!  I wanted to make her vintage looking so I curled and tore the edges of her picture and the accent strip under her.  For some Christmas accents, I used some laser cut wooden package and snowflake.  On the inside, I used some matching paper with stars and a stamped sentiment from my stash.
Sherri Baldy always has neat images, especially for the seasons & Holidays.  I can't wait to color some more up to get my card list whittled down!  Come over to the Challenge and win some images-can't wait to share in the Christmas joy!
