We're skating towards Christmas over at All Dressed Up!

Swish...Swish...I can just hear this Christmas Skater dancing all over the ice, throwing up sprays of snow.  That's why I used a white feather to illustrate that movement!  This image from All Dressed Up is one of the latest digital creations of their resident artist, Wendy Burns.  This is one of four images that she has released for the month of November.
Here you can see a close-up of the embellishments I used on this card.  The background paper is actually silver foil snowflakes on a light pink paper.  I added a sentiment from a Christmas paper pack and then the white frosted poinsettia, pink roses with glitter touches and small pink rosebuds.

On the inside, there is frosted Christmas ornament paper with a perfect stamped sentiment wishing the recipient the best of Christmases.

Here's hoping you have the Merriest of Christmases and that you will come back often!

Have a wonderful Holiday...I'm starting to think of Christmas with Sherri Baldy!

Hope you all are enjoying Thanksgiving today!  If you are from a country that doesn't celebrate this Holiday, find reasons to be thankful for the joy of life.

This is usually my internal "switch" to be thinking ahead for Christmas and all the magic that it brings.  One of my favorite collections of Sherri Baldy's are her Christmas images.  I see so much joy in the adorable characters with the squished up eyes and chubby cheeks-love to color them!  This one is called Night Before Christmas.
Because I thought it had been printed slightly off kilter, I fancy cut the image.  But at least I was able then to create a scene with flooring and wallpaper--can you imagine living in a home with this wild plaid on the walls?  I also added a hanging sign on the wall using a chipboard sentiment and I made a wooden planter with a poinsettia plant in it to fill the space.  Love how it turned out and hope that you will go exploring Sherri's shop with soooo many images in it.  If you need some help in the shop, you can always use my discount code CAROLYN20 to get 20% off your total purchase.  What a deal!  Thanks for visiting and come back real soon!

The Last Month for the Come and Get It Challenges--join us in the last Hurrah!

This is a beautiful time of the year for us to share our creations with you from Come and Get It Challenge Family...but this month it's a little bit different for us on the Design Team.

You will notice on the Challenge site we are joined on the 3rd and on the 17th by past DT members also, to celebrate the Final hurrah of this Great blog site.  Yes, this month will be our last month sharing with all of our followers.  Due to unforeseen  circumstances, the 2 great leaders of our group, Cindy and Julie, have to close the website.  I know that all of us will see each other again in this crafty world-they have been wonderful to work with for all of us.

So this is my first contribution, using Polkadoodles' Hollybobs Mistletoe.  He was delightful to color and create with, as have been all the Polkadoodle images I've been thrilled to receive in the past.  I liked coloring him with copics in some "boyish" colors like grays, burgundy, navy, and greens and browns. Paired with an accent of red plaid paper, a chipboard sentiment and white dimensional poinsettia, I loved using the vintage red sentiment papers with this square card.
For the inside, I used a pattern of dots-reminded me of snow but in colors of grays, white and burgundy.  Another Chipboard saying is perfect for Christmas.
Remember there are lots of prizes to be won because of the multiple sponsors this month--We would love you to join us for our challenge.  We have all appreciated the loyalty to our site and have loved seeing all your beautiful creations.  Be sure and participate in the Challenge on the 13th also.  We want you ALL to be there with us.  Thank you one and all.

The Theme is CHRISTMAS at Crafting When We Can, Sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter!

This cute image from Sasayaki Glitter is our featured image for this post from Crafting When We Can .  This talented designer is always so generous with her images and the compact design allowed me to make my first shaker card for a long while.  Our Theme for this challenge is "Christmas" and I'm sure that your craft room is as hectic as mine is-perfect time for getting your cards completed!
This image is called Snowman & Bird and is beautiful in it's simplicity.  Using a clear shaker form as a pattern I cut an opening in the front with my circle die, pushed through the shape, filled the cavity with clear bugle beads and seed beads and then mounted the image behind all that. I accented the card with the rich red plaid paper, sheer organza ribbon, paper poinsettia, and white pine die cuts.

On the inside liner I used a pattern paper that reminded me of snowballs and placed a cardstock print of JOY.  Please join us for a great Challenge at CWWC and hopefully you will win some free images as a prize!

It's Christmas Comes Early at Crafting When We Can! Our sponsor is Lacy Sunshine Stamps!

It's never too early to start on your Christmas cards Ladies and at Crafting When We Can, we are happy to  be sponsored by Lacy Sunshine Stamps and our Theme is "Christmas Comes Early".  I'm using the image Rory's Christmas Princess and have wanted to color her up for quite a while.
I used copics to color her, white flower soft around the bottom edge of her dress, diamond stickles on the dress and a Wink of clear Stella on the folds, ornaments, and petticoat ruffles.  I love the background effect, almost like there was some snow softly falling.  I have this wonderful gold fringe braid with adhesive -thought it looked elegant at the bottom of the image.  The flowers are a cluster of Petal lu, and some sparkled pink accent flowers with Pink Pearls to accent the front.
The finished inside liner has the reverse of the gold snowflake paper used on the front.  I stamped one of my favorite Christmas sayings on a great gold cardstock and accented it with a white poinsettia.  Just waiting for the perfect person on my Christmas Card List.  Please visit Crafting When We Can and get some inspiration for YOUR list!

It's Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion! The East Wind is the Sponsor this week!

This week at Craft Your Passion we are continuing with our theme, Always Anything Goes!  I'm sure many of you have Gorgeous Holiday cards or projects to show us.
This week, we are thrilled to have The East Wind as our sponsor and this image is called  Christmas Wreath with Sleepy Cats and Ribbons.  I put it on a 6x6 card, and used it on a Bo Bunny tree paper from their Sleigh Ride Collection.  There's a sentiment embellishment for the corner, pink pearl rope as an accent on the side and chunky white frantage over the whole thing!  I also used liquid pearl and silver gel pen for some bling.   I have just the perfect friend to give this kitty card to!
We can't wait to see your beautiful inspirations-the winner will get 3 images of choice from the East Wind store!
