September's New Release from All Dressed Up-Featuring a Baby Card!

It's time to see the New Releases over at All Dressed Up for September!  We launch these on the 7th of every month but some technical issues caused me to be late, so my apologies!  This cute image is called "Little One" and is perfect for New Baby cards!  I decided to keep the colors soft and neutral so that it could be appropriate for either gender.  I wanted both design paper patterns to show so decided to shorten the front and make the Image hang over.
I added the checkerboard floor to the image just for some added interest.  Was so easy to do because the artist for ADU, Wendy Burns, makes everything angled correctly and in perspective so you can put your personal touch to your design.  On the inside, I used a cardstock sentiment that carried on the theme. I wanted to bring out more of the yellows in the card so I added a cluster of assorted flowers down in the corner.
Thank you for looking and I hope you will be back soon!

Always Anything Goes at Color It Create It Show It Off!

Wow It's already April!!  While I'm looking forward to Spring, I wonder where did the past few months go!  It's a late Easter this year, so this month at Color It Create It Show It Off we're celebrating with Spring images.  This image from Sherri Baldy is called Bunny Love or Img098 and I just love her!
From the Furry ears to her droopy socks and bandaid, all colored with Copics.  I edged the image with Distress ink in green to make her stand out.
I added a sticker that actually has a rolled flower on it-great set!  Using a softly colored pastel background paper, I added a strip of accent blue with a paper lace overlay. I kept the inside of the card ('cause I always finish them off) very simple with strips of accent colors/design.  Then inked a sentiment on it.  It's all ready to go for whatever occasion you need-very versatile.  Please come over and play at our challenge-it's always Anything Goes so please join us with any image, any project!

Spots & Dots Everywhere at Crafting When We Can-Fabrika Fantasy is our Sponsor!

At Crafting When We Can, we are celebrating "DOTS-SPOTS"!  And our thoughtful Sponsor for this challenge is Fabrika Fantasy.  The beauty of images from this site is that with some of them, you can also get a pre-colored image.  That's what I've used on this card and he is called "Easter Bunny" of course.  These options make it a great way to get cards done that you need for the last minute!
I cut the image and then inked it around the edges with distressed orange ink.  I lucked out with my design paper-one side was this great carrot paper and the other the green dot paper.  That fit the bill for this challenge!  I kept it very simple with just a stamp from KKS.
On the inside, I used a decorative Easter egg paper and an orange textured label die cut.  I used another wonderful sentiment stamp from a clear stamp set from KKS.  Easy Peasy!
Come and play with us at Crafting When We Can-We'd love to see your creations and be inspired!

All Dressed Up ~ New Release! Theme is Romance And or Red!

February 2017 New Release!!

Hello Dressy Fans :)
Welcome to the first new release images for 2017! And Wendy has done us proud again with more gorgeous images.
They are now available in the Etsy Store -}here

As you can see, I chose to use "Some Bunny Loves Me" and fell head over heels in love with it!  Using the color combination of Pink and Gray -Yummy- I also put some clear Wink of Stella over the dress, shoes, and bows for that beautiful Shimmer!  Then, using a large heart die, I adjusted it so that the bunny ear tips extended over the gray matted heart.  The reverse pattern of the raspberry polkadot is this flourished print that is the vertical accent on the card. Added some pearls at the top and bottom and stamped the SU word~Adorable~ at the corner.

On the inside, I used a Valentine Word/Sentiment paper and then stamped it with a KKS stamp in the corner--Lots of room for your own personal greeting!
Don't forget we have two challenges running right now -

The Start of New Things with 2 CUTE INK! Come enter our Challenge #126-EASTER!

When one door closes, another opens right?  I'm so pleased that I was able to find a new home as a Design Team member on 2 Cute Ink!  It's an adorable site with all sorts of cute images for all kinds of situations.  We will be promoting their images twice a month on Mondays and hope you will find a wonderful image that just fits the bill for your creation!  The image that I used is called Hippity Hop-how appropriate that some of the design paper I had had it written all over!  I used a wide oval die cut to open the front panel, then cut a smaller oval out of double sided yellow dotted paper to frame him better and inserted it from the back.
Inside, I used the complimentary back of the yellow dot paper, chevrons, as the mat around the image.  He's brightly colored with copics and topped off with a cardstock sticker with a sentiment.  I love buttons so of course there's one on the front with a dotted ribbon.  OH, one thing to try is I used my Signo white pen and just squiggled all over the bunny and then just blotted it with my finger.  It left a texture over the bunny like fur-a white on white effect.  Come by and check out all the DT's new ideas and try some images out at 2 Cute Ink!

Polka Dot Time at Squigglefly -this weeks' challenge

The challenge this week at Squigglefly is called Polka Dots Please.  Please include polka dots somewhere on your card, this can in your image, on your background paper, or on any embellishments (be they paper flowers, brads, ribbons...).  We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.

I decided to use a Inner Stair Step Card from The Paper Cut in Pink Lemonade and the design paper is by The Paper Studio.  The ISS card is a pre-scored card blank--so that makes it so easy to fold and go on any card.  The cute guy in my Easter Card is from the Easter Hubby group by Lynne Stansbery from Squigglefly's Talented artists and comes with this sentiment and others.  This is a sneak preview of the images that will go on sale the first weekend of April but wouldn't he be so cute tucked in an Easter basket for an adult too?  I colored him with copics and put some flower soft on his bunny ears.
There's still plenty of time to get your entry in before Sunday night  and you could be the winner of a image of your choice from the SF shop!  Hope you enjoy and get inspired!

I kept it all in the Springtime colors and the yellow gingham background just makes me smile so much!  This challenge combined 2 favorite embellies that I have so much of and enjoy using the most!  Every Monday, we start a new weekly challenge at Squigglefly and to the winner, an image of your choice from the SF shop-how cool is that!!  We would love to have you join us for the fun!  Oh and Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Wear your lucky Greens today!

Love Theme is the newest Hambo Challenge at the Hoedown!

Hambo's challenge for Hoedown #142 is to create a project with a LOVE theme - sentiments or images that show love (thinking more romantic love here than a child/parent love.) Your image could be totally random but tie it in with a sentiment, or vice versa.

Since I'm trying to rest my "tweaked" knee, I can still find some time to color up some fun images from Hambo for the contest!  This image is called Snow Heart and is a favorite of mine. I love combining kraft paper and Anything! This image comes with several sentiments, 2 of which I used here.  I used a snowflake punch in the corner thinking I'd like it to go all the way through.  But instead, decided to back the punch with some more kraft. That's where I placed my handmade stamp.  I used the remaining white punch as an accent under the sentiment. Thanks for looking and have fun playing!

And a Round and a Round we go at Squigglefly-Challenge of the week!

Our Theme this week at Squigglefly is to "Just Round the Corner--Make a card that uses Rounded Corners, many options out there, not just rounding the card corners but rounding the individual papers too!

I'm using a cutie image called Patch Bunny by Dawn Collins  colored with copics and I definitely had to take advantage of the carrot that he's holding to come up with the sentiment!  I wish I had one of those corner "chompers" but as I don't I had to come up with some alternatives for the theme:  round die cut for the bunny, rounded corners on the mat, rounded sentiment, and circle mats for the Round buttons.  So I think I've got it covered!  This image is one of several that Dawn debuted the first week in May-I'm not sure where May actually went because the first week in June is fast approaching and there will be some more new images on that Saturday!

Go grab a freebie image from Squigglefly and come up with a card for this challenge--the prize is an image from the shop and they have got some really neat ones!!
