New Images coming to Squigglefly AND the Challenge for this week-Piece it OR Pierce it!

I'm so excited to know that this Saturday, the 3rd, Squigglefly is revealing some new images and Artists for us to all ooo and awww over.  How exciting that they do this every first Saturday of each month!  I'm very happy to give you a sneak peak at the image called Home-by Judith Hart which you will find at the Squigglefly on-line shop .  I just love this cheery home image and the easel scene that I created with it.

It goes to show you that you shouldn't ditch any of the card blanks that you make-I had started this "framework" easel card months and months ago and because I loved all the colors in it, kept it in my stash.  You know you just are waiting for JUST the right image to use!  Then along came Judith's rendering..I fancy cut the image on the grassy area so that it would fit through the circle die cut and, so that I would be able to use it in the Challenge on Squigglefly, I "pierced" the card with a glitter circle brad that I used as the SUN-the "rays being a large prima flower!  What FUN!  Then I carried that onto the inside where I created a field of flowers with brads and primas.  Thanks for looking!

  6. Carolyn this is so freakin' adorable! I love the shape of it, and the little flowers holding the easel open add so much and go so perfectly with the image. The way you used that glittered button with the flower shape die for a sun was just genius! I'm going to be copying this idea some day!
