I just love flowers and Pammie has delivered in spades! I used her Hollyhocks, fence and Iris digitals, wanting to create a layered effect. So even though I ended up covering up some of the hollyhocks, they are all equally as pretty as the pink ones on the edge. There are so many ways to use these images but I decided that they would make a great Mother's Day card. One of the other things that Pammie does is handle the Challenge Blog for Scrap Book Place , a super great place to make friends that scrapbook and like to swap and exchange supplies. You ought to check into joining our fun group. Their current challenge for the next 2 weeks is "May Flowers" and that's where I'm going to enter this card. Hope to see you there and make sure you take a trip also to Squigglefly for some neat ideas!

Wow - love all the images you layered here - this is GORGEOUS! Wonderful ideas, colors, and layout. Great card!!!! Hugz!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy for the sweet comments!
DeleteCarolyn your card is fabulous! I love the scene you've made. I'm very intrigued with the way you cut the white piece in the background - scalloped on top like that is such a great idea with the sky background because it gives the effect of clouds. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteHolly I'm so glad you liked that effect! Appreciate you leaving some Luv!
DeleteBeautiful scene and I too love the idea of the partially scalloped bg! Your work really rocks gf!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're the Best Linda-thanks for the kind words
DeleteBeautiful! Your coloring is great!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your Sweet remarks!!
DeleteCarolyn, I am amazed at the hand cutting of all the Iris's, did you use scissors or a craft knife? I love the scalloped background too. Great idea! Great card too.
ReplyDeleteLOL Thanks Pammie! You know you get started and then you just can't leave it! I used very tiny scissors and thought the look was what I wanted BUT maybe should tackle some bigger flowers next time! Great Digis-thanks for sharing!
