As accents, I used pastel blue dew drops and rayon seam binding. This seam binding was originally in a dusty blue but I like to make it vintage looking sooo to do that, I cut a long length, place in a plastic bag, I spritz it with walnut ink, wad it up into a ball and seal up the bag. Later I take out the very kinked up "ribbon" and let it air dry, still in the loose pile. You get a very variegated ribbon and it looks very vintage. The inside shows another paper, one of the included sentiments and a cute pewter dragonfly brad.

Adorable and stunning job. I would love to have seen the birth announcement. They'll love your congrats card.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cely!! I'm glad you liked it!
DeleteThis is wonderful! Loving that vintage ribbon!
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet! Thanks~
DeleteAhhh! Such a sweet card...lucky new parents to have a brand new baby AND your congratulations card! PS...thanks for the bag tip for the ribbon. So much neater than just using the craft mat and moving it around - so messy! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAm so glad you liked it Ann! The bag is great--I can do several different colors of binding in different bags all at the same time and always have it on hand!
