Frankie wants his Cupcake for a Squigglefly Halloween Treat!

It's almost time for all the spooks and goblins to come out to play for Halloween!  At Squigglefly, Frankie-the adorable image from Cheryl Alger, is going after a yummy cupcake for his treat!  I popped him up on foam dots for dimension, colored with copics.  The cupcake was cut out with an Impression Obsession die cut using Swiss Dot gold card stock from Bazzill.  The icing is from card stock called Ice Gold from The Paper Cut.  It's an iridescent shimmery gold color.  This pre-scored card blank is from The Paper Cut Company and is called the Cupcake Swinging Z-fold card blank  in the new color, Orange Fizz.  Just in time for Fall or Halloween!  I used a Bronze glitter from Martha Stewart.  I used a Batty paper from The Paper Studio matted in black on the inside.  In the die cut set from IO, there's an outline die of the whole cupcake so I like to use those as a small insert where I can stamp a picture or journal a verse, which is what I did with the pumpkin stamp.  The inside of the card makes a great place to use my larger Happy Birthday stamp with lots of room to write a greeting.
Be sure and check out Squigglefly's Latest Challenge where they want your Halloween cards!  If you use a SF image, you could win another one for your growing library.  They have so many new artists coming on board, there's tons of designs to choose from.  We'd love for you to join us!

Emma & The Cake from Fred She Said with help from The Paper Cut

This cutie called Emma (from Fred She Said Designs) is patterned from Tracey's (aka Fred) daughter.  She shows up in the cutest settings and I like using her pre-colored digitals. Officially this is called Emma & the Cake and makes a great birthday card!

I used my Cupcake Swinging Z-Fold card blank from The Paper Cut in the color of Grape Jelly.  I'm really liking these "moving" cards!  I'm very proud to be on their Design Team!  The green that I used as a mat and as the cupcake is called Basis Lt. Lime.  Then the icing is from an exciting textured cardstock called pearlized Esse White and I used the Cupcake die from Impression Obsession--I think they all bring out the candy colors from the design paper from the Spooky & Kooky papers by Bazzill.  Course  I Do love me some buttons!!

Seems a Little Sketchy joined by My Grafico & The Paper Cut

At Seems a Little Sketchy this week we were sponsored by My Grafico, a fun site with many cute digi images.  They gave us a mountain of images to use but these three cutie pies caught my   EYE(S).   I just love these little creatures and even though they already have eyes, I decided to Accent them!  We were to use the following Sketch-I chose to use some great zig zag paper from The Paper Studio and I found some super card stock by The Paper Cut in the colors of Pop Tone Lemon Drop and Orange Fizz for the larger accent fields.  They come in a great 65 lb  thickness!
I got caught up in the cute images so decided to create another one with The Grafico images-this one with the Top-note Swinging Z-Fold Card from The Paper Cut-I used the Blu Raspberry color, although they have many others! Again you see my flavor of the day-zigzags and I used foam dots to mount the little creature. I really like using different shapes-makes things more interesting.  Hope you are interested in seeing this alternate card and that it gave you even more ideas to create!  Thanks for looking!

Teaming up Flowers from Fred She Said and cards from The Paper Cut!

Well after a brief respite, the DT for Fred She Said is back in full swing and looking forward to new designs from our fearless leader Tracey (aka Fred) for the Winter time!  But in the meantime, I'm using one of her latest pre-colored images called
3 Doodled Blossoms from the Fred Store,  The cluster comes in several color combinations and with or without blue accent backgrounds. I fancy cut 2 of the clusers and stacked them on top of each other. She has many recent images that I'm anxious to use like some gorgeous magnolias and one called Doodle Flowers 1-be watching for those soon!
You might have noticed that with this card I was ALSO able to use one of the versatile cards from The Paper Cut that are pre-scored and cut so all you have to do is CREATE!  The card blank that I used was a Top Note Swinging Z Fold  in a new color called Razzle Berry.  What I was thrilled about is that by chance I had  an 1.5" ribbon in exactly the same color with black accents! I stamped a sentiment from my stash and am thrilled to add another Get Well card to my collection.

Beginning a Lovely Partnership with The Paper Cut!

Off on a new adventure for me as I begin creating cards for The Paper Cut!  I'm  very excited to be using their very cool pre-cut and scored card blanks-it makes creating a card SO very easy.  No more measuring, cutting, scoring--it's already done for you!  All you have to do is add your creativity and have fun!
The style I'm using on these Birthday cards is called appropriately the "Cupcake Swinging Z Fold Card" in 2 fabulous colors, Lemon Drop & Pewter.  I've always been interested in these cards that do a "flip" while you're opening the card and having the Impression Obsession Cupcake Set thin metal die set to really accent the flip was fantastic!
On the BOLD graphic card, I teamed up the Lemon Drop card with one of The Paper Cut's new Pop Tone card stocks called Razzle Berry, both for the embossed liner and the cupcake base.  I love this yummy pink color!! Then I used the Whip Cream card stock for the icing and the cupcake sentiment frame inside-topped it off with some seed beads "sprinkles"--Looks good enough to EAT!!

Next I was on to a little more elegant card using the same Paper Cut swinging card but in the shade of pewter.  I was looking to make a masculine card but then stumbled over this paisley patterned paper from The Paper Studio-it matched perfectly.  There's a hint of green in the print so I used one of the Basis card stock line in Basis Olive for the embossed liner and the mat under the stamped image.  The blue accents are done with Basis Lt. Blue and "icing" in Whip Cream again.  I love the Stickles that I Sprinkled on the cupcake and the HB mat!
I'm so lucky to be using these wonderful items-I hope that you will visit The Paper Cut site and check out their Gallery for loads of ideas~  Thanks for looking!
I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
