A Day for Daisies is sponsoring "Things With Wings" at Come and Get It Challenge!

I had such fun with this Come And Get It challenge and the image I used from A Day for Daisies is titled "Birds for Bree".  The images at this site are so whimsical and "clean/elegant" that it makes them very easy to color!  The THEME for this Challenge is Things With Wings!
I kept the coloring simple, Summery.  I love blue birds and gave their wings a coating of blue Wink of Stella.  I matted the image with kraft and then peach dp.  The Stamp is from a great set at KKS and says "You Lift Me Up". I had this Great paper with bird houses, birds, nests, and tree limbs all over it and placed her matted image on a branch so to speak.  I used this unique Vine "ribbon" from my local SBS- it's made from woven material with veined leaves-glued down with Zig 2-way glue.  On that ribbon, I placed several nature embellies: Owl, dragonfly and ladybug--see if you spot them!  On the inside liner, I used the peach speckled paper and then a draft label die cut from my stash.  The stamp on the inside page is a friendship stamp from my collection.  We hope that you will want to stop in and play with us for this Challenge.  We can't wait to see your creations!

It's SKETCH time at the Come and Get It Challenge! Sponsor is A Day for Daisies!!

This week at Come and Get It Challenge, we are using a sketch for our creations.  Aren't they great when you just get stuck?  Our images are furnished by A Day for Daisies, Sami has just great images for you to use-check the site out soon!  This one is called Candy Elf and it makes a great Christmas card!
Background is a kraft toned Christmas word paper, with a rusty red plaid mat around the oval image.  I used silver bell brads on this stocking cap and added Chunky white Frantage with a touch of glitter for a snowy effect.  I took liberties with the wide horizontal bank, instead electing to use 2 red glittered rick rac in it's place.  On the inside,I again used the plaid and added coordinated cardstock stickers spelling out JOY and a matching tag with a red jewel.  Think it's a Festive card for our challenge this week!
The Winner of the Challenge will receive a $12 Gift certificate (3 Images) Come and join us for all the fun ~

A Day for Daisies sponsors Always Anything Goes Challenge at CRAFT YOUR PASSION

It's always a great time when we have A Day for Daisies sponsoring our Always Anything Goes challenge at Craft Your Passion!!! This time is no different as we start to turn away from Winter time (I'm ignoring the fact that they are calling for
S N O W Monday) and look to Springtime and warmer weather.
The image I'm using is called Gathering Flowers, a simple but elegant image, colored in Copics.  I really like the clean look of this!  I trimmed back the front about 1.5" so that I could add a paper lace strip and show the inside design paper.  I put a cluster of paper roses, spiral stamens, and glass leaf stick pins.  On the inside, using coordinating polka dot paper, I accented with 3 different style buttons and a die cut with a Birthday stamp.  This will be a real winner to give to a friend!
I'd like to enter this in:
  • Come and Get it Challenge-1 digi, 2 papers, 3 embellishments

A Day For Daisies is sponsoring Craft Your Passion--Anything Goes!

It's A DAY FOR DAISIES here on this Monday as they are our sponsor this week at Craft Your Passion!  Please join in our Challenge and the winner will win a $12 Gift Card to spend in their Store!
The gorgeous image that I'm using today is called Pearls in my Hair and I love the simplicity of the image but it has so many intricate parts!  I knew I had the perfect paper for it with little blue birds on it.  On the inside, I've got a complimentary blue mat just waiting for a special sentiment.  Unusual for me not to "finish" it up when making it but, there were so many possibilities/events to use it for, I couldn't decide.  I also used some white die cuts from a friend with a button in the center.
Can't wait to see what you have to show us at the Challenge-we get so inspired by your creations!  See you there!

A Day for Daisies is sponsoring "Going Dotty" at Southern Girls Challenge

Southern Girls Challenge is offering their next 2 weeks challenge with the help of Images from A Day for Daisies!   If you've never been to their great site You've missed out on some fantastic digis!  The one I chose to use was "H is for Happy Birthday" and I love the whimsical characters surrounding the letter H.  I can just see this being used on SEVERAL Birthday cards in the future!

The THEME for this challenge is "Going Dotty" so bring out all your papers with dots, spots, and combinations of the circle theme and join us!  Besides the image, the thing I liked the most about this card was the Template that I pinned from Pinterest for the paper bow--I tried it for the first time on this card and I just love the look of it!  The great thing is that the paper bow will compress down in order to mail it and stay relatively fluffy when opened by the lucky recipient!
Thanks for Looking and come and play with us! Carolyn
