Delicious Doodles Sponsors Seems a Little Sketchy-Show me...Christmas Cards!!

I know , I know we need to fully enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday before Christmas is upon us...you see, it snowed today...and that led to me playing Christmas music..which led to Christmas Cards, and before I knew it-I was in deep.
This sketch this week at Seems a Little Sketchy just lends itself to a beautiful card!  I'm using an image from our great sponsor, Delicious Doodles, called Christmas Lantern.  I've tilted the sketch a bit but love the way it came together!  This crackle paper from The Paper Studio is a great Holiday paper-I've used it both on the outside and inside.  The candle has gold stickles on it and I used red stickles on the berries.  With the red faceted bling, it really pops.  Join us at SALS for the 2 week challenge-Delicious Doodles will be awarding the winner a choice of 4 free images!

Delicious Doodles is BLOSSOMING at Seems a Little Sketchy this week!

Oh I might be back among the living today--My humble apologies to all the ladies at Seems a Little Sketchy for my late post!  There was some stomach flu going around our area and this weekend must have been my turn.
I put together this card with a great image from Delicious Doodles called Blossom several days ago using this unique sketch from SALS and then couldn't crawl to the computer!  I rotated the design and then used clear dew drops for my "flags" at the top-blue satin ribbon for the band at the bottom.  I adore this image so I die cut the embossed card front all the way through so that it would focus on the image/coloring.  A complimentary softer background paper is in the inside and then you can see the rest of the image! There are several different "styles" of these gorgeous gals at DD so go and take a look!  You won't regret it!

Thank you DELICIOUS DOODLES For sponsoring Sketch #45 at Seems A Little Sketchy

I'm so excited to try a technique that I was seeing on Pinterest and several Scrapbooking Blogs for my Challenge #45 at Seems A Little Sketchy .  It's the process of leaving your B&W image in that format EXCEPT for a specific area that you draw attention to by coloring just that area.  This week, I had the option to use this great Boat scene and it worked perfectly with the circle!  I used my smaller circle die as a pattern around the image, penciling it in so I wouldn't color outside of the line.  It surely highlights the featured spot!  I just love this drawing from Delicious Doodles -they are just a generous sponsor for us at SALS!
I added some great water paper, a blue mat trim around the circle/image, some beige (frothy waves?) paper lace from my stash, light denim paper for the sky and a great red nautical fishtail banner with silver stars as a top accent.  Hope you enjoy and come play with us for the next two weeks.  DD has some great prizes for the winner!

Twice the Fun at Seems a Little Sketchy

This challenge is to follow the sketch provided by Seems a Little Sketchy and I was so excited to have such an interesting sketch and 2 great sponsors, that I made 2 cards for this challenge.

The first one uses an image called Sniffing Daisies from Delicious Doodles.  I simply love all the flowers--I am SO ready for Spring this year and the end of snow!  I had a larger image that the sketch plans for so it made the placement of the layers a little difficult.  But I wanted the focus to be on the lovely girl!

The second card I made into a thank you card for a friend.  This cute little image from Robyn's Fetish called Five Little Froggies.  Would be a great card if numerous people were in the card giving group!  Those are chipboard monogram letters used for the THX message instead of flowers.  I really love making masculine cards!

Please join us at Seems a Little Sketchy for the bi-monthly challenge-we have a lot of fun and there are always great digital prizes!
