March 2019 New Release Over at All Dressed Up!

 Hello Dressy Fans!

Wendy, our artist in residence, has been working hard to bring us a fabulous selection of new release images this month.
As ever, she has not forgotten that Mother's Day (Mothering Sunday) is celebrated in the UK , the home of ADU, on 31st March and there are some new designs that will be perfect for this occasion. All these beauties are available now in the Etsy Store

The Image that I'm using for the new release is called Busy Street and there are so many variations of the same image being highlighted on the blog.  I used copics creating different store fronts-like coloring your own town!
There also a navy satin ribbon & bow that runs under the image.  On the inside I used the purple and black harlequin paper again, using a celebration stamp with some bling.

Don't forget we have two challenges running right now -
ending on the eve of the 14th March where it's always "Anything Goes with an All Dressed Up Image"
&
ending on the last day on the month.
The current theme is "Girlie Girls"
***Please remember your creations must use an
 All Dressed Up Image***

I hope you visit the All Dressed Up site and see all of our lovely creations!

All Dressed Up New Releases--Stars and Back

February 2019 New Release!

Hello Dressy Fans
Have you missed the new releases? Well they are back this month and they were certainly worth the wait!!! They are gorgeous images and here is my creation called Stars and Back From All Dressed Up
I colored the image with Copics, split the card background with complimentary dp.  The mesh type ribbon for the seam is sparkly with glitter, I added a metal word-Smile- and then accented that with some lavender wired gems-This was a great find in the bridal section of HL!  On the inside I used some Chevron paper that was a perfect color match!  I've been using some cardstock sentiments lately and think I found the perfect one!

At All Dressed Up, every month there are at least 4 new releases and then there's our month long Challenge which starts on the 15th of the month.  The images used must be an ADU one.  We would love for you to show us your creations and win!

Moonlight and Love over at Sherri Baldy's Gnomeville

I count myself so lucky in that I often am coloring up Sherri Baldy Images and getting such pleasure and relaxation from this!  As part of Sherri's Coloring Team, I get so excited when I see a new line of "Cuties" that she's created and can't wait to get my hands on them!
You can find this Great group of Gnomes in her latest category, "Gnomeville" found here.
I had started working on this detailed coloring when a dear friend was looking for a Wedding Anniversary Card.  Aha!  I had just the card and you are now looking at it.
The Moon set the tone for an evening sky, the Love theme made me think of the saying on the little sign (not part of the image) which I attached so the rope looked like it went over the limb.  With some Chestnut Road Cat's Eye Chalk, I made the edges Vintage like.
On the inside, I found some peach vintage like paper and used a stamp from KKS which says it all!  Please check out Sherri's store-You will definitely find something you will love!

All Dressed Up free image over at Kit & Cowder!

We at All Dressed Up have some exciting news for everyone--Wendy Burns our resident Artist has offered this beautiful image called "Sassy" to use through Kit and Clowder.  You can get this gorgeous image for free for a limited time by following the steps Alyce has provided in her post.
I used a holographic silver star patterned paper as the background, a heavy written cardstock that I distressed for another layer, and finally, the "Star" of the card-dancing in the starry midnight air.  I used copics to color her (and a couple of refills for the blues!), my favorite medium.  On the inside, I finished with a complimentary paper with one of my favorite sentiments from KKK.
Keep checking the K&C site for a chance to get this freebie from ADU , as well as all the renditions of this beauty from the ADU DT.  Hope you will join us!

Star Stampz sponsors us at Crafting When We Can! Come on Over!

This week we were given a challenge on the Crafting While We Can DT team of working with 3 "colors":  Black, White, and 1 Color---I chose YELLOW.  You can figure out why I picked yellow--It's the FIREFLIES <<grins>>, and that's the name of this image by Star Stampz.  She's always been a great Sponsor for us-neat images, so check out her Etsy site.
Instead of just leaving the background white, I chose several shades of grays and black to create the night sky, her dress, the ground and grass, and her hair.  Then to make the Fireflies stand out more, I used Copic FYG1 and they just glow!  I LOVE macro dot papers so found one that was appropriate to use and mounted that to a cheery textured yellow/white polkadot paper.  I used a sentiment from KKS stamped with white ink on black cardstock and topped off with yellow epoxy dots.  The black and white narrow checked ribbon is a pretty accent, don't you think?  On the inside I used the yellow dotted paper to brighten it and a rubber stamp from my stash with "Best Wishes".  We would love to have you join us over at Crafting When We Can-great opportunity to get a prize!  We'll be looking for you!
