Something with Shape(s) is the newest challenge from Squigglefly

This week the Holley Hobbiest Team at Squigglefly has given us to a SHAPE  Challenge!  Use at least three different shapes somewhere on your card somehow; For example, enclose your image in an oval, your sentiment in a decorative rectangle, and have a star shaped embellishment....get the idea?
So for this I attempted to work with an Outer Stair Step Card, using the great pre-cut and scored card from The Paper Cut.  This pumpkin colored form is from their Earth Variety pack which has some wonderful Fall Colors.  It made a great base for the fun, playful digital images called Bee Hive  and Bee Set by Pammie Lehto.  She is one of the many talented artists at Squigglefly.  I used lots of mats, patterned paper as well as homemade paper, and  some bling.  This all compresses down to an A2 sized card .  The shapes I used were rectangle, oval (those chubby bees) and the step card shape!  Hope those all count!!
So go have some fun with this and perhaps you could win a Squigglefly image from the shop-They have Tonzzzzzzz of great images to choose from!

Time to use Twine, Ribbon, Floss on the Challenge at Squigglefly

This week at Squigglefly they would like us to use the 3 mediums that I listed in the heading--Ribbon, Floss or Twine.  Well, I chose to use a "ribbon" of raffia.  What with fall coming on shortly and kids going back to school, I thought it was a great chance to make an encouraging card for a little girl returning to school!  I love the look of Raffia on a card-makes it so down-homey!  This image is called digi pencil girl without glasses by Cheryl Alger, one of the many talented artists that you will find in the SF Shop.  I colored her with copics, double matted her and then attached the raffia ribbon and raffia bow with button attached.

Well, I had another image by Cheryl Alger called No. 2 pencil with Dream  so I created another card for the occasion.  You'll find SO many images at the Squigglefly Store by this wonderful Artist-can you tell she's one of my favorites?  Do know why the silver pen I used showed up so well on one picture and not on the other!    I wanted to use the yellow glittered circle brad as the Sun on the page and the flower petals are the sun rays.  I picked up some blue and white Baker's Twine as an accent on the end of the card.  Thanks for taking a look at my creations.  Come and play along with our latest challenge and check us out each week for a chance to win some free digital images!

Squigglefly Sponsors our Seems a Little Sketchy Challenge

Well my world is all in alignment now!  Squigglefly is sponsoring the bi-monthly challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy AND I'm on the Squigglefly Design Team!
This sketch is our template to create with and it was so easy to use this layout! Sometimes sketches have so many  layers that it's hard to get it all on your card!  But not with this one.  This image is called You Better Not Pout by Cheryl Alger and can be found, along with many other great digital images, in the Squigglefly Shop.  I used a Spellbinder Renaissance die to create a great frame around this cute image.  A red glittered card stock snowflake as the circle.  There's a "ribbon" of gold geometric border by Paper Studio.  Then 2 gold snowflake accents at the top corners.
Come play with us at SALS and get a chance to win 3 images from Squigglefly!

Thank You Challenge over at Squigglefly!! Come join us!

This is the fresh new design I chose to use in this week's challenge at Squigglefly called Blessing Tree by Judith Hart .  We were asked to make a "Thinking of You" card which I need several all the time!  We have so many talented artists contributing to the Squigglefly shop-you'll have to check it out for yourself!
It's crazy but I've never put a finished image through a folder and was kind of scared to take a chance on this pretty tree that I would mess it up doing so!  But I absolutely adore the dotted swiss look!
I made some scalloped roses using a die that I have and love the way they look-especially with the half pearls in the centers.
Please come and play with us at Squigglefly and take a chance on being selected to get a free digital image!

Challenge 75 at Southern Girls Challenge-Things that start with "F" !!!!--Great Sponsors

Marianne Designs and Iva Nova Chest are the two sponsors this week on Southern Girls Challenge and we are SO Glad to have them here!  We were able to use any image to make our "F" word creation and I chose to use a Freebie over at Squigglefly, where I'm a DT member.  The cutie image is called "Fairy Fun" by Fawn Palmer and she's sitting in a Field of Flowers with 2 Fairies holding her braids! The sentiment is also from Squigglefly, created by a fellow DT member, Charlene Mitchell-you can use it in so many ways!
I used a copics and Stickles on the design, loopy paper lace, embossed green card stock and this wild variegated wide rick rack.

Come play with us for the next 2 weeks so you can have a chance to win some fabulous prizes from our sponsors! I think I put enough "F's" for everyone!

Squigglefly wants us to GO MASCULINE

I love this image from Cheryl Alger called "Come Here Often" and can be found at the Squigglefly Shop along with many other great designs.

This week's challenge at Squigglefly asked us to make a Masculine card and I'm always needing Thank You cards so this was a perfect chance.  I colored the image with Copics, found some vintage like paper, and added the goodies!  I especially like to use BUTTONS and found the perfect one with swirls!

The first Saturday in each month you will find on Squigglefly new images and Artists launching their creations for very reasonable prices.  Come join us and take a peak!  They're so amazing!
I'd like to enter it in this challenge:

Show me Thursday Challenge-What did you make this Week?

Thank you DELICIOUS DOODLES For sponsoring Sketch #45 at Seems A Little Sketchy

I'm so excited to try a technique that I was seeing on Pinterest and several Scrapbooking Blogs for my Challenge #45 at Seems A Little Sketchy .  It's the process of leaving your B&W image in that format EXCEPT for a specific area that you draw attention to by coloring just that area.  This week, I had the option to use this great Boat scene and it worked perfectly with the circle!  I used my smaller circle die as a pattern around the image, penciling it in so I wouldn't color outside of the line.  It surely highlights the featured spot!  I just love this drawing from Delicious Doodles -they are just a generous sponsor for us at SALS!
I added some great water paper, a blue mat trim around the circle/image, some beige (frothy waves?) paper lace from my stash, light denim paper for the sky and a great red nautical fishtail banner with silver stars as a top accent.  Hope you enjoy and come play with us for the next two weeks.  DD has some great prizes for the winner!
