Join us and Bugaboo Stamps at Come And Get It Challenge! The Theme is WINTER SPORTS!

It's time for our WINTER SPORTS theme over at the Come and Get It Challenge.  Think out of the Box:  Ice Skating, Snowman Building/Fights, Ice Carving, Sledding, Ice Hockey---your mind can think of so many things!  We'd love to see your creation AND it's being Sponsored by the well-known BUGABOO.  If you win, you can receive several of Burgaboo's digital stamps, your choice!
The image I picked today is called Winter Kidz with Puppy (they have an adorable group called KIDZ that I find myself drawn to often).  They are nice clean images with lots of room for shading and detail.  After coloring him up with Copics, I added some Chunky white embossing with Frantage, on the ground and for the snow flurry.  I also added a die cut of white pine boughs and mounted some white features behind the boughs-I think it gives the feel of snow drifting.  A wooden star finishes off the effect for the Season.  On the inside liner, I used some dp that picks up the purples, blues and grays and stamped it with a Christmas stamp from my stash.  Again, Come and join us this month and next at our Challenge!  We'd love to be inspired by YOU!

For my Reminder Image, I'm using Christmas Hair Do.

It's from Wendy's newest release and just in time for Christmas!  After coloring her with copics, I used the water based white Sharpie fine and medium point markers to make the snowflakes and added some stickles for sparkle.  I thought the white feathers would make you think of snow swirls and then used a very glittery leaf frond as an accent.
On the inside, I used a gold swirl dp and a matching sentiment block.
Come and visit our Challenge site and get started on your Holiday cards.

Reminder that Color It Create It Show It Off has a Challenge going on--ATG

This is my reminder for you to to come join our Challenge over at Color It Create It Show It Off!  I'm using Lil Rascals: Lil Rosie Fall Days, Image 670 from Sherri Baldy.  Such a great chance to use all the Fall colors that I love.  Besides triple matting her in a sparkly burgundy and coffee brown cardstock, I love using this burlap paper and the brown wildflowers paper.  Accented the corner with 2 faceted burgundy Gemstones.  On the inside I sued the patterned paper again, and a sentiment for a Birthday card.  2 more smaller faceted stones for some bling and we're all set.
Come on over and visit our site and join in the Challenge-we'd love to see your creations!

It's new Winter images at All Dressed Up--ATG on our Challenge!

Welcome back to a brand new challenge. We had some fabulous entries last month, so check back on the 29th our winner and top three as chosen by our DT!
As always the theme for our Blog Challenge is -
Anything Goes
but you must use a All Dressed Up Image.
Not got any? There are some gorgeous freebies -} here.

Now what could be easier than that?

We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations.
My image for this challenge is called Boy's Christmas Stocking and I love the simple lines and I like the idea of a focus on a young boy during he Holidays.  I double matted him in green and Red Plaid on top of a forest of trees.  I kept it simple with 3 different sized wood trees in the corner.  In the inside, using the plaid again, I stamped a sentiment and topped it with a wooden star.

We do hope you will find the time to play along - You have a full month (until the evening of the 14th) to enter your creations.

Paper Nest Dolls Design Team and a great DIGITAL Image!

This is my first "official" card on the Paper Nest Dolls Design Team and  I'm so thrilled!  I've always loved the designs that Christine creates for PND and she carries both Rubber stamps AND digital ones.  This one here is digital and I can resize it to fit the space I need.
using Fall colors, I colored Ellie with Pumpkins with Copics, then used some design paper that gives the texture of grass, curving it so that it resembled grassy hills.  With a great sky paper that I often use for scenes, I placed a die cut tree I got from a friend and used some Flower Soft clumps on the branches to hopefully look like fall leaves.  I had some heavy cardstock Fall stickers for the sentiment on the front.
I always like to finish off the inside panel of my cards and this one isn't any different.  Appropriate leaf paper and another heavy sticker from the same Seasonal group was used.
Starting the first Monday of each month, there is a great PND Challenge taking place.  Come join us and get inspired!

"Winter Girls" Challenge over at Come and Get It!

The Challenge over at Come and Get It features "Winter Girls" and the gorgeous one that I got to use is called Winter Cardigan Girl from Lemon Shortbread.  These teen images just appeal to me, I imagine that my soon to be *16* yo Granddaughter has something to do with that!
Lemon Shortbreads' image faces are so sweet and precious-a joy to color.
So I chose some non-traditional colors in one of my favorite combinations-purple & green.  Added a snowy background paper and a snowy die cut from Memory Lane, and some frosty snowflakes and one can just feel the frost in the air.  While I had already added snowdrops, I decided to add some diamond stickles to add to the sparkle.
On the inside liner, I used another soft blue, frosty ornaments paper with a wonderful Christmas stamp from Stampabilities.  It's the official start to my Christmas cards and I have Come and Get It Challenge and Lemon Shortbread to thank for that!  Ho Ho Ho!
