Always Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion-Sasakayi Glitter is our sponsor!

This week at Craft Your Passion our theme is Always Anything Goes and SasaKayi Glitter is our kind sponsor.  One of her images that I like a lot is Winter Peggy!  You will see "Peggy" is several different settings-but this one is appropriate for this cold weather we've been having here in the Midwest.
I am using a digital colored background that I purchased from Make It Crafty-it's perfect for Peggy!  After coloring her with copics, I put mini pop-dots on the back to give it a little more dimension.  After matting the background with a festive red, all I had to add was some Bling
I used some flat winter white foliage that had tons of glitter on it and added touches of white and red feathers for that whimsical feel.  On the inside, I used a festive red/white snowflake paper with a great sentiment for the Holidays.  Let us see your beautiful work!  The winner will get a Sasakayi digital image of their choice!

Come and Get It Challenge Blog is showing GET WELL cards! Sponsor is Time for Tea Designs--Wheee!

I had such FUN making this "action" card for Come And Get It Blog Challenge!  It's an image called "Sledding" by Time for Tea Designs and was such fun to color!
I used a beautiful heavy embossed cardstock with snowflakes everywhere for the bottom half on the card and a lightweight swirled specialty paper with silver embossed "swirly snowflakes"-at least in my mind.
I matted the image & sentiment with a shimmery purple cardstock from the Paper Cut.  I added dots of snow by using some white Liquid Pearls.  Then, the most fun I had was adding sprays of "snow" by using white feathers from the craft store.  It worked just perfectly!  Added some Aqua "goosebumps" in the corners for some faceted accents.  On the inside, I finished off with using the same papers as on the front (you can really see the embossing better) and a sentiment created on the computer.
If this doesn't make a person get out of a sick bed and get outside, I don't know what will!  We would love for you to come over to our 1 week Challenge and show us your creation!  The winner will get 3 images!

ATG over at All Dressed Up! Use an All Dressed Up Image ~

At All Dressed Up we are having a Blog Challenge that runs for a month-Yep until the evening of the 14th of November!  Plenty of time to get your freebies here or visit the ADU Store here!  You will have a hard time deciding because they are all amazing!
My heartstrings were just pulled when I saw "Little Skater" in the store-she is so pretty.
I colored her with copics, sticking to purples (stockings and scarf) and shades of blue, and used white opal Liquid Pearls for her ice skates.  Her ear muffs are covered with white Flower Soft to simulate fur.  Copic B60 is like a cross between lavender and light blue so perfect for the background sky-then I laid a layer of icy blue for the skating rink.  Then White Chunky Frantage all over for snowflakes!
Thought I would give you a close up of the feathery flower/snowflake cluster in the corner.  Look closely for the crystal jewels that are scattered throughout!
Besides the image, the jeweltone blue background is a standout on this card.  It's actually individual 5-sided multi-shaded blue "chips" that are adhered to the cardstock- pretty thick layered.  It really gives it a prismatic look-I've tilted the card so you could get a look.  On the inside liner, I've got a white embossed speckled cardstock, a matted Christmas sentiment with a blue/silver foil snowflake accent.  Ahh this beauty is finished and ready to deliver to a friend!

More Winter/Christmas cards from Lacy Sunshine--WHOOOO wants to see????

Have you ever used an image that just totally inspires you?  Well, I have when I started working with this Lacy Sunshine image called Snowy Owl Ethereal Enchantress.  From the fur around her neck and wrists, the owl "feathering", the wings and hair and my new friend Frantage.  There are so many wonderful images, especially with the focus on wintery/Christmas digis- I've loved every minute of using them.
So, I started with a 6x6 card and with this image, decided to make a pocket card for the Holidays.  I had JUST gotten this wide, heavily embroidered lace in like a latte color. I glued that to the backside of the image and tacked the ends of it and the image it was attached to onto the card.  I created the insert using the design paper, pink cardstock, a great Christmas stamped verse, and a perfectly matched oversized eyelet with pink eyelash fiber as the "pull".
I glued down a length of pink pearls cause I love pink and browns together and it balances the opposite side where the tree is.  On the inside, the color theme continues and is finished off by another stamped verse.
I hope this inspires you to take a walk through the Lacy Sunshine Store-there are some gorgeous images in there just waiting for your creative mojo!

Sweet Pea Stamps creation-Lovin' their Springtime Beauties for Mother's Day cards

What a great chance to work on some beautiful artwork from the Sweet Pea Stamps Store.  The image is called Spring Beauty ©Regan Kubecek and it was just done for pure enjoyment!
As usual, these images are very detailed and because of that, I really took my time coloring it with Copics.  There were these little bubbles through the "garden" that I chose to add little pearls to each one of them-gives dimension and some elegance~ Then I accented the corner with rolled cardstock flowers in 2 sizes, centers of white pearls, and yellow Guinea feathers glued in place.  That background paper, while I bought it probably for a Water feature, made me think of the dew on flowers.  I just love it.  Then in the inside I used a Basic Grey soft blue patterned paper with a square die cut and a Sentiment, simple but perfect for Mother's Day.  I lost my Mom many years ago but, I think of her so much and see the values and love of life that she instilled in me every day.  So often I pause to recognize what a true treasure she was to me and how I wish I had her close for one last hug and kiss.  Mother's Day is coming soon-Reach out to yours and let her know how much she means to you.
I'd like to submit this for the following challenges:
Creative Moments- ATG w/ Spring
Penny's Paper Crafty- One for the Girls

Robyn's Fetish is sponsoring Seems a Little Sketchy this week!

This week we at Seems a Little Sketchy are being sponsored by Robyns Fetish digital  stamps and the image I chose to use is called Tom Turkey.  How appropriate for November!!  The sketch shown here is the template for all the sketches that are submitted-makes it so easy to put together a card for sure!
Since I was doing an elaborate paper-piecing job on the ole' bird and that made him a little chubby for the card, I chose to hang him over the edge.  I cut the front panel in half, matted some great leaf/turkey paper called "Where's the Turkey" by Karen Foster, then added my glorious turkey.  The belly is a paper piece that is inserted under a slit by his curved neck feathers.  Each of the feathers were drawn using a duplicate image pattern out of scraps and then glued on top of the finished image.  The three stripes to the right side of the sketch are actually on the inside, again using Fall patterned paper.
Hope you will come and join us in our 2 week challenge!

Aurora Wings is the Sponsor for Seems a Little Sketchy's Sketch Challenge

This week we are thrilled to have Aurora Wings as our sponsor at Seems a Little Sketchy.  The image I'm using is called Poppy Fairy and I just love her! The sketch that SALS gave us to use is shown here-since I wanted to show more of the image as a rectangle instead of a square, I wasn't able to "sprinkle" various accents like the sketch shows.  BUT, I decided to use purple and pink guinea feathers placed at the corners instead, as if they ran underneath the image.  I just love "Icelandic Poppies" with their soft pink colors so I colored these like them.
There's diamond Stickles over the Fairy Wings.  The winner of the 2 week challenge will get a $15 Voucher from Aurora Wings so we hope that we see YOU there!

QKR Stampede once again Sponsors Seems a Little Sketchy!

I tell you QKR Stampede has some of the cutest
images for us to use this week at Seems A Little Sketchy!  And if you're chosen as a winner of the 2 week challenge, they will give you 5 digital images so come join us!
This is the Sketch that you need to follow-Of course, you can change the angle, move some of the objects around, as long as you keep the same basic shape!  The Image I'm using is called Air Mail and I used some feathers (think they're Quail from Hubby) tucked into the curve of the colored wing sections by slitting it with an Xacto blade.  Inside I used some more Star eyelets and continued with the Red, white and Blue theme.  Had a great time with this challenge-hope to see you visit us

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the "BUG" challenge at Cupcake Inspirations this week!

This week's challenge at Cupcake Inspirations is being sponsored by Doodle Pantry and participants were to take a hint from CI's design post:  BUGS!  Aren't these adorable!!  Someone is Very creative out there for sure.
In support of the challenge, I chose one of Doodle Pantry's images called Birthday Birdie and got a little carried away!  The background papers all come with the set also~I fancy cut the image, leaving a slit in the tail feathers to insert some fun green dyed feathers, FC the hat and icing and then pop-dotted them for dimension and BLINGED them up big time with seed beads.  I use these also in shaker boxes for sure.  I added a "bug-butterfly" metal charm/brad -was so happy that the color matched so well!
Doodle Pantry is giving away a $10 prize for the winner of the challenge so get yourself over to play this 1 week challenge-they'd love to see your entry!
